Aionian Verses
Y levantáronse todos sus hijos y todas sus hijas para consolarle; mas él no quiso tomar consolación, y dijo: Porque tengo de descender a mi hijo enlutado hasta la sepultura. Y lloróle su padre. (Sheol h7585)
and all his sons and all his daughters rise to comfort him, and he refuses to comfort himself, and says, “For I go down to my son mourning, to Sheol,” and his father weeps for him. (Sheol h7585)
Y él dijo: No descenderá mi hijo con vosotros: que su hermano es muerto, y él solo ha quedado: y si le aconteciere algún desastre en el camino donde vais, haréis descender mis canas con dolor a la sepultura. (Sheol h7585)
and he says, “My son does not go down with you, for his brother [is] dead, and he by himself is left; when harm has met him in the way in which you go, then you have brought down my grey hairs in sorrow to Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)
Y si tomareis también a este de delante de mí, y le aconteciere algún desastre, haréis descender mis canas con dolor a la sepultura. (Sheol h7585)
when you have taken also this from my presence, and harm has met him, then you have brought down my grey hairs with evil to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Será, que como él no vea al mozo, morirá: y tus siervos harán descender las canas de tu siervo nuestro padre con dolor a la sepultura: (Sheol h7585)
then it has come to pass, when he sees that the youth is not, that he has died, and your servants have brought down the grey hairs of your servant our father with sorrow to Sheol; (Sheol h7585)
Mas si Jehová criare criatura, y la tierra abriere su boca, y los tragare con todas sus cosas y descendieren al infierno vivos, entonces conoceréis que estos hombres irritaron a Jehová. (Sheol h7585)
but if YHWH does a strange thing, and the ground has opened her mouth and swallowed them and all that they have, and they have gone down alive to Sheol, then you have known that these men have despised YHWH.” (Sheol h7585)
Y ellos y todo lo que tenían, descendieron vivos al infierno; y la tierra los cubrió, y perecieron de en medio de la congregación. (Sheol h7585)
and they go down—they and all that they have—alive to Sheol, and the earth closes over them, and they perish from the midst of the assembly; (Sheol h7585)
Porque fuego se encenderá en mi furor, y arderá hasta el profundo: y tragará la tierra y sus frutos, y abrasará los fundamentos de los montes. (Sheol h7585)
For a fire has been kindled in My anger, And it burns to the lowest [part] of Sheol, And consumes earth and its increase, And sets on fire [the] foundations of mountains. (Sheol h7585)
Jehová mata, y él da vida: él hace descender a los infiernos, y hace subir. (Sheol h7585)
YHWH puts to death, and keeps alive, He brings down to Sheol, and brings up. (Sheol h7585)
Cuando las cuerdas del sepulcro me ciñeron, y los lazos de muerte me tomaron descuidado; (Sheol h7585)
The cords of Sheol have surrounded me, The snares of death have been before me. (Sheol h7585)
Tú harás conforme a tu sabiduría; no harás descender sus canas al sepulcro en paz. (Sheol h7585)
and you have done according to your wisdom, and do not let his old age go down in peace to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Mas ahora no le absolverás: que hombre sabio eres, y sabes como te has de haber con él; y harás descender sus canas con sangre a la sepultura. (Sheol h7585)
and now, do not acquit him, for you [are] a wise man, and you have known that which you do to him, and have brought down his old age with blood to Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)
La nube se acaba, y se va: así es el que desciende al sepulcro, que nunca más subirá. (Sheol h7585)
A cloud has been consumed, and it goes, So he who is going down to Sheol does not come up. (Sheol h7585)
Es más alto que los cielos, ¿qué harás? es más profundo que el infierno, ¿cómo le conocerás? (Sheol h7585)
Heights of the heavens—what [can] you do? Deeper than Sheol—what [can] you know? (Sheol h7585)
¡Oh quién me diese que me escondieses en la sepultura, y que me encubrieses, hasta que tu ira reposase; que me pusieses plazo, y te acordases de mí! (Sheol h7585)
O that You would conceal me in Sheol, Hide me until the turning of Your anger, Set a limit for me, and remember me. (Sheol h7585)
Si yo espero, el sepulcro es mi casa: en las tinieblas hice mi cama. (Sheol h7585)
If I wait—Sheol [is] my house, In darkness I have spread out my bed. (Sheol h7585)

You go down [to] the parts of Sheol, If we may rest together on the dust.” (Sheol h7585)
Gastan sus días en bien, y en un momento descienden a la sepultura. (Sheol h7585)
They wear out their days in good, And in a moment go down [to] Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
La sequedad, y también el calor roban las aguas de la nieve; y el sepulcro a los pecadores. (Sheol h7585)
Drought—also heat—consume snow-waters, Sheol—[those who] have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
El sepulcro es descubierto delante de él, y el infierno no tiene cobertura. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol [is] naked before Him, And there is no covering to destruction. (Sheol h7585)
Porque en la muerte no hay memoria de ti: en el sepulcro ¿quién te loará? (Sheol h7585)
For in death there is no memorial of You, In Sheol, who gives thanks to You? (Sheol h7585)
Volverse han los malos al infierno: todas las gentes que se olvidan de Dios. (Sheol h7585)
The wicked turn back to Sheol, All nations forgetting God. (Sheol h7585)

YHWH, You have brought up my soul from Sheol, You have kept me alive, From going down [to] the pit. (Sheol h7585)

O YHWH, do not let me be ashamed, For I have called You, let the wicked be ashamed, Let them become silent to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Como ovejas son puestos en la sepultura, la muerte los pastorea; y los rectos se enseñorearon de ellos por la mañana: y su apariencia se envejece en la sepultura de su morada. (Sheol h7585)
They have set themselves as sheep for Sheol, Death afflicts them, And the upright rule over them in the morning, And their form [is] for consumption. Sheol [is] a dwelling for him. (Sheol h7585)

Cords of death have surrounded me, And straits of Sheol have found me, I find distress and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
Si subiere a los cielos, allí estás tú; y si hiciere mi estrado en el infierno, héte allí. (Sheol h7585)
If I ascend the heavens—You [are] there, And spread out a bed in Sheol, behold, You! (Sheol h7585)
Como quien parte e hiende leños en tierra, son esparcidos nuestros huesos a la boca de la sepultura: (Sheol h7585)
As one tilling and ripping up in the land, Have our bones been scattered at the command of Saul. (Sheol h7585)

We swallow them as Sheol—alive, And whole—as those going down [to] the pit, (Sheol h7585)

And he has not known that Rephaim [are] there, Her invited ones in deep places of Sheol! (Sheol h7585)
El infierno y la perdición están delante de Jehová: ¿cuánto más los corazones de los hombres? (Sheol h7585)
Sheol and destruction [are] before YHWH, Surely also the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
El camino de la vida es hacia arriba al entendido; para apartarse de la sima de abajo. (Sheol h7585)
A path of life [is] on high for the wise, To turn aside from Sheol beneath. (Sheol h7585)
Tú le herirás con vara, y librarás su alma del infierno. (Sheol h7585)
You strike him with a rod, And you deliver his soul from Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
El sepulcro y la perdición nunca se hartan: así los ojos de los hombres nunca se hartan. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol and destruction are not satisfied, And the eyes of man are not satisfied. (Sheol h7585)
El sepulcro, y la matriz estéril, y la tierra no harta de aguas; y el fuego nunca dice: Basta. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol, and a restrained womb, Earth—it [is] not satisfied [with] water, And fire—it has not said, “Sufficiency,” (Sheol h7585)
Todo lo que te viniere a la mano para hacer, házlo según tus fuerzas; porque en el sepulcro, donde tú vas, no hay obra, ni industria, ni ciencia, ni sabiduría. (Sheol h7585)
All that your hand finds to do, with your power do, for there is no work, and plan, and knowledge, and wisdom in Sheol to where you are going. (Sheol h7585)
Pónme, como un sello, sobre tu corazón, como un signo sobre tu brazo; porque fuerte es como la muerte el amor: duro como el sepulcro el celo: sus brasas, brasas de fuego, llama fuerte. (Sheol h7585)
Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm, For strong as death is love, Sharp as Sheol is jealousy, Its burnings [are] burnings of fire, a flame of YAH! (Sheol h7585)
Por tanto el infierno ensanchó su alma, y sin medida extendió su boca; y su gloria, y su multitud descendió allá; y su fausto, y el que se holgó en él. (Sheol h7585)
Therefore Sheol has enlarged herself, And has opened her mouth without limit. And its honor has gone down, and its multitude, And its noise, and its exulting one—into her. (Sheol h7585)
Pide para ti señal de Jehová tu Dios, demandando en el profundo, o arriba en lo alto. (Sheol h7585)
“Ask for a sign from your God YHWH, Make the request deep, or make [it] high upwards.” (Sheol h7585)
El infierno abajo se espantó de ti: despertóte muertos que en tu venida saliesen a recebirte: todos los príncipes de la tierra hizo levantar de sus tronos, a todos los reyes de las naciones. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol beneath has been troubled at you, To meet your coming in, It is waking up Rephaim for you, All chief ones of earth, It has raised up from their thrones All kings of nations. (Sheol h7585)
Descendió al sepulcro tu soberbia, y el sonido de tus vihuelas: gusanos serán tu cama, y gusanos te cubrirán. (Sheol h7585)
Your excellence has been brought down to Sheol, The noise of your stringed instruments, The worm has been spread out under you, Indeed, the worm is covering you. (Sheol h7585)
Mas tú derribado eres en el sepulcro, a los lados de la huesa. (Sheol h7585)
Only—you are brought down to Sheol, To the sides of the pit. (Sheol h7585)
Porque habéis dicho: Concierto tenemos hecho con la muerte, y con la sepultura: hicimos acuerdo, que cuando pasare el turbión del azote, no llegará a nosotros; porque pusimos nuestra acogida en mentira, y en falsedad nos esconderemos. (Sheol h7585)
Because you have said: “We have made a covenant with death, And we have made a provision with Sheol, An overflowing scourge, when it passes over, Does not meet us, Though we have made a lie our refuge, And have been hidden in falsehood.” (Sheol h7585)
Y anularse ha vuestro concierto con la muerte; y vuestro acuerdo con la sepultura no será firme: cuando pasare el turbión del azote seréis de él hollados. (Sheol h7585)
And your covenant with death has been annulled, And your provision with Sheol does not stand, An overflowing scourge, when it passes over, Then you have been to it for a treading-place. (Sheol h7585)
Yo dije en el cortamiento de mis días: iré a las puertas de la sepultura: privado soy del resto de mis años. (Sheol h7585)
“I said in the cutting off of my days, I go to the gates of Sheol, I have numbered the remnant of my years. (Sheol h7585)
Porque el sepulcro no te glorificará, ni la muerte te alabará: ni los que descienden en el hoyo esperarán tu verdad. (Sheol h7585)
For Sheol does not confess You, Death does not praise You, Those going down to the pit do not hope for Your truth. (Sheol h7585)
Y fuiste al rey con óleo, y multiplicaste tus olores: y enviaste tus embajadores lejos, y abatístete hasta el profundo. (Sheol h7585)
And go joyfully to the king in ointment, And multiply your perfumes, And send your ambassadors far off, And humble yourself to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Así dijo el Señor Jehová: El día que descendió al infierno, hice hacer luto, hice cubrir por él el abismo, y detuve sus ríos; y las muchas aguas fueron detenidas; y al Líbano cubrí de tinieblas por él, y todos los árboles del campo se desmayaron. (Sheol h7585)
Thus said Lord YHWH: I have caused mourning in the day of his going down to Sheol, I have covered the deep over him, and diminish its flowings, And many waters are restrained, And I make Lebanon black for him, And all trees of the field [have been] a covering for him. (Sheol h7585)
Del estruendo de su caída hice temblar las naciones, cuando le hice descender al infierno con los que descienden a la sepultura; y todos los árboles de Edén escogidos, y los mejores del Líbano, todos los que beben aguas, tomaron consolación en la tierra baja. (Sheol h7585)
I have caused nations to shake at the sound of his fall, In My causing him to go down to Sheol, With those going down to the pit, And all trees of Eden are comforted in the lower earth, The choice and good of Lebanon—All drinking waters. (Sheol h7585)
También ellos descendieron con él al infierno con los muertos a cuchillo, los que fueron su brazo, los que estuvieron a su sombra en medio de las gentes. (Sheol h7585)
Those with him have also gone down to Sheol, To the pierced of the sword, And—his arm—they dwelt in his shade in the midst of nations. (Sheol h7585)

The gods of the mighty speak to him out of the midst of Sheol, With his helpers—they have gone down, They have lain with the uncircumcised, The pierced of the sword. (Sheol h7585)
Y no yacerán con los fuertes que cayeron de los incircuncisos, los cuales descendieron al infierno con sus armas de guerra, y pusieron sus espadas debajo de sus cabezas: mas sus pecados estarán sobre sus huesos; porque fueron terror de fuertes en la tierra de los vivientes. (Sheol h7585)
And they do not lie with the mighty, Who are falling of the uncircumcised, Who have gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, And they put their swords under their heads, And their iniquities are on their bones, For the terror of the mighty [is] in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)
De la mano del sepulcro los redimiré, de la muerte los libraré. ¡O muerte! yo seré tu mortandad; y seré tu destrucción, ¡o sepulcro! Arrepentimiento será escondido de mis ojos. (Sheol h7585)
Will I ransom them from the hand of Sheol? Will I redeem them from death? Where [is] your plague, O death? Where your destruction, O Sheol? Comfort is hid from My eyes. (Sheol h7585)
Si cavaren hasta el infierno, de allá los tomará mi mano; y si subieren hasta el cielo, de allá los haré descender: (Sheol h7585)
If they dig through into Sheol, From there My hand takes them, And if they go up [to] the heavens, From there I cause them to come down. (Sheol h7585)
Y dijo: Clamé de mi tribulación a Jehová, y él me oyó: del vientre del infierno clamé, y oíste mi voz. (Sheol h7585)
And he says: “I called, because of my distress, to YHWH, And He answers me, From the belly of Sheol I have cried, You have heard my voice. (Sheol h7585)
Cuanto mas que el dado al vino, traspasador, hombre soberbio, no permanecerá: que ensanchó como un osario su alma, y es como la muerte que no se hartará: mas congregó a sí todas las naciones, y amontonó a sí todos los pueblos. (Sheol h7585)
And also, because the wine [is] treacherous, A man is haughty, and does not remain at home, Who has enlarged his soul as Sheol, And is as death that is not satisfied, And gathers to itself all the nations, And assembles to itself all the peoples, (Sheol h7585)
Yo pues os digo, que cualquiera que se enojare sin razón con su hermano, estará expuesto a juicio; y cualquiera que dijere a su hermano: Raca, estará expuesto al concilio; y cualquiera que a su hermano dijere: Insensato, estará expuesto al fuego del infierno. (Geenna g1067)
but I say to you that everyone who is angry at his brother without cause will be in danger of the judgment, and whoever may say to his brother, Stupid, will be in danger of the Sanhedrin, and whoever may say, Moron, will be in danger of the Gehenna of fire. (Geenna g1067)
Por tanto si tu ojo derecho te fuere ocasión de caer, sácale, y échale de ti; que mejor te es, que se pierda uno de tus miembros, que no que todo tu cuerpo sea echado al infierno. (Geenna g1067)
But if your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast from you, for it is good to you that one of your members may perish, and not your whole body be cast into Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
Y si tu mano derecha te fuere ocasión de caer, córtala, y échala de ti: que mejor te es, que se pierda uno de tus miembros, que no que todo tu cuerpo sea echado al infierno. (Geenna g1067)
And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast from you, for it is good to you that one of your members may perish, and not your whole body be cast into Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
Y no tengáis miedo de los que matan el cuerpo, mas al alma no pueden matar: teméd antes a aquel que puede destruir el alma y el cuerpo en el infierno. (Geenna g1067)
And do not be afraid of those killing the body, and are not able to kill the soul, but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
Y tú, Capernaum, que eres levantada hasta el cielo, hasta los infiernos serás abajada; porque si en Sodoma se hubiesen hecho las maravillas que han sido hechas en ti, hubieran permanecido hasta el día de hoy. (Hadēs g86)
And you, Capernaum, which were exalted to Heaven, will be brought down to Hades, because if the mighty works that were done in you had been done in Sodom, it had remained to this day; (Hadēs g86)
Y cualquiera que hablare contra el Hijo del hombre, le será perdonado; mas cualquiera que hablare contra el Espíritu Santo, no le será perdonado, ni en este siglo, ni en el venidero. (aiōn g165)
And whoever may speak a word against the Son of Man it will be forgiven to him, but whoever may speak against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this age, nor in that which is coming. (aiōn g165)
Y el que fue sembrado en espinas, éste es el que oye la palabra; mas la congoja de este siglo y el engaño de las riquezas ahogan la palabra, y viene a quedar sin fruto. (aiōn g165)
And that sown toward the thorns, this is he who is hearing the word, and the anxiety of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, chokes the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
El enemigo que la sembró, es el diablo; la siega es el fin del mundo; y los segadores son los ángeles. (aiōn g165)
and the enemy who sowed them is the Devil, and the harvest is [the] full end of the age, and the reapers are messengers. (aiōn g165)
De manera que como es cogida la cizaña, y quemada a fuego, así será en el fin de este siglo. (aiōn g165)
As, then, the darnel is gathered up, and is burned with fire, so will it be in the full end of this age; (aiōn g165)
Así será en el fin del siglo: saldrán los ángeles, y apartarán a los malos de entre los justos, (aiōn g165)
so will it be in the full end of the age, the messengers will come forth and separate the evil out of the midst of the righteous, (aiōn g165)
Y yo también te digo, que tú eres Pedro; y sobre esta roca edificaré mi iglesia; y las puertas del infierno no prevalecerán contra ella. (Hadēs g86)
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Assembly, and [the] gates of Hades will not prevail against it; (Hadēs g86)

and everyone who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for My Name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
Y viendo una higuera cerca del camino, vino a ella, y no halló nada en ella, sino hojas solamente; y le dijo: Nunca más nazca de ti fruto para siempre. Y luego la higuera se secó. (aiōn g165)
and having seen a certain fig tree on the way, He came to it, and found nothing in it except leaves only, and He says to it, “No more fruit may be from you—throughout the age”; and instantly the fig tree withered. (aiōn g165)

Entonces dirá también a los que estarán a la izquierda: Idos de mí, malditos, al fuego eterno, que está aparejado para el diablo y sus ángeles; (aiōnios g166)
Then will He say also to those on the left hand, Go from Me, the cursed, into the continuous fire that has been prepared for the Devil and his messengers; (aiōnios g166)
E irán estos al suplicio eterno, y los justos a la vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
