1 Yon Sòm Asaph O Bondye, poukisa Ou te rejte nou pou tout tan? Poukisa kòlè Ou fè lafimen kont mouton patiraj Ou an?
The lernyng of Asaph. God, whi hast thou put awei in to the ende; thi strong veniaunce is wrooth on the scheep of thi leesewe?
2 Sonje asanble Ou a, ke Ou te achte depi tan ansyen yo, sa yo ke Ou te rachte pou fè tribi eritaj pa Ou: Mòn Sion (sila) a, kote Ou te abite.
Be thou myndeful of thi gadering togidere; which thou haddist in possessioun fro the bigynnyng. Thou ayenbouytist the yerde of thin eritage; the hille of Syon in which thou dwellidist ther ynne.
3 Vire pa Ou yo pou rive kote mazi ki kraze nèt yo, kote lènmi a fin fè tout mechanste li anndan sanktiyè a.
Reise thin hondis in to the prides of hem; hou grete thingis the enemy dide wickidli in the hooli.
4 Advèsè Ou yo te vin anraje nan mitan kote asanble Ou a. Yo fin monte pwòp drapo yo kon avètisman an.
And thei that hatiden thee; hadden glorie in the myddis of thi solempnete.
5 Yo aji kòn yon moun k ap leve rach li nan mitan yon forè bwa.
Thei settiden her signes, `ethir baneris, signes on the hiyeste, as in the outgoing; and thei knewen not.
6 Epi koulye a, tout travay skilpti li yo, yo kraze ak rach avèk mato.
As in a wode of trees thei heweden doun with axis the yatis therof in to it silf; thei castiden doun it with an ax, and a brood fallinge ax.
7 Yo fin brile sanktiyè Ou a jis rive atè. Yo te souye abitasyon ki fèt nan non Ou an.
Thei brenten with fier thi seyntuarie; thei defouliden the tabernacle of thi name in erthe.
8 Yo te pale nan kè yo: “Annou kraze yo nèt.” Yo te brile tout kote asanble Bondye nan tout peyi a.
The kynrede of hem seiden togidere in her herte; Make we alle the feest daies of God to ceesse fro the erthe.
9 Nou paz ankò wè mèvèy yo. Nanpwen pwofèt ankò. Ni pa genyen pami nou ki konnen konbyen de tan sa va dire.
We han not seyn oure signes, now `no profete is; and he schal no more knowe vs.
10 Konbyen de tan, O Bondye, advèsè a va moke nou ak mo brile? Èske se pou tout tan lènmi an va giyonnen non Ou konsa?
God, hou long schal the enemye seie dispit? the aduersarie territh to ire thi name in to the ende.
11 Poukisa Ou retire men Ou? Sitou men dwat Ou? Fè l parèt sòti anndan lestonmak Ou pou detwi yo!
Whi turnest thou awei thin hoond, and `to drawe out thi riythond fro the myddis of thi bosum, til in to the ende?
12 Men Bondye se Wa mwen depi nan tan ansyen yo. Li te fè zèv delivrans nan mitan latè.
Forsothe God oure kyng bifore worldis; wrouyte heelthe in the mydis of erthe.
13 Ou te divize lanmè a ak fòs kouraj Ou. Ou te kraze tèt gwo bèt lanmè yo.
Thou madist sad the see bi thi vertu; thou hast troblid the heedis of dragouns in watris.
14 Ou te kraze tèt Levyatan an. Ou te bay li kon manje pou bèt sovaj.
Thou hast broke the heedis of `the dragoun; thou hast youe hym to mete to the puplis of Ethiopiens.
15 Ou te fè pete sous ki koule dlo fre. Ou te seche gwo rivyè pwisan yo.
Thou hast broke wellis, and strondis; thou madist drie the flodis of Ethan.
16 Jou yo se pou Ou, anplis, nwit yo se pou Ou. Ou te prepare limyè a avèk solèy la.
The dai is thin, and the niyt is thin; thou madist the moreutid and the sunne.
17 Ou te etabli tout lizyè latè yo. Ou te fè sezon ete ak sezon livè.
Thou madist alle the endis of erthe; somer and veer tyme, thou fourmedist tho.
18 Sonje bagay sa a, O SENYÈ, ke lènmi yo te meprize Ou, e yon pèp ki plen ak foli te refize non Ou.
Be thou myndeful of this thing, the enemye hath seid schenschip to the Lord; and the vnwijs puple hath excitid to ire thi name.
19 Pa livre nanm a toutrèl Ou a bèt sovaj yo. Pa bliye lavi aflije Ou yo pou tout tan.
Bitake thou not to beestis men knoulechenge to thee; and foryete thou not in to the ende the soulis of thi pore men.
20 Konsidere akò Ou, paske kote fènwa yo nan tout latè a, plen ak abitasyon vyolans yo.
Biholde in to thi testament; for thei that ben maad derk of erthe, ben fillid with the housis of wickidnessis.
21 Pa kite oprime yo retounen nan gwo wont. Kite aflije yo ak malere yo louwe Non Ou.
A meke man be not turned awei maad aschamed; a pore man and nedi schulen herie thi name.
22 Leve, O Bondye! Plede koz Ou! Sonje jan lòm plen foli meprize Ou tout lajounen.
God, rise vp, deme thou thi cause; be thou myndeful of thin vpbreidyngis, of tho that ben al dai of the vnwise man.
23 Pa bliye vwa advèsè Ou yo. Gwo zen a (sila) ki leve kont Ou yo monte tout tan, san rete.
Foryete thou not the voices of thin enemyes; the pride of hem that haten thee, stieth euere.
