< Psalms 21 >
1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. The king rejoices in your strength, LORD! How greatly he rejoices in your salvation!
Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Dawid dwom. Awurade, ɔhene di anigye wɔ wʼahoɔden mu. Nʼani gye mmoroso wɔ nkonimdi a woma no nti!
2 You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. (Selah)
Woama no nea ne koma pɛ; woamfa nʼabisade ankame no.
3 For you meet him with the blessings of goodness. You set a crown of fine gold on his head.
Wode nhyira a edi mu hyiaa no na wode sikakɔkɔɔ ankasa ahenkyɛw hyɛɛ no.
4 He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.
Obisaa wo hɔ nkwa, na wode maa no, nna tenten a enni awiei.
5 His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honour and majesty on him.
Nkonimdi a woma no nti, nʼanuonyam so; wode kɛseyɛ ne nidi adom no.
6 For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence.
Ampa ara, woama no nhyira a ɛnsa da na woama no ahosɛpɛw wɔ wʼanim anigye mu.
7 For the king trusts in the LORD. Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved.
Ɔhene no de ne ho to Awurade so; Ɔsorosoroni no nokware dɔ no nti, ɔrenhinhim.
8 Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you.
Wo nsa bɛka wʼatamfo nyinaa; wo nsa nifa beso wɔn a wokyi wo no mu.
9 You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them.
Bere a wubeyi wo ho adi no wobɛyɛ wɔn sɛ fononoo a mu adɔ. Awurade fi nʼabufuwhyew mu bɛmene wɔn, na ne gya no ahyew wɔn.
10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from amongst the children of men.
Wobɛtɔre wɔn ase wɔ asase so, na wɔn asefo afi adesamma mu.
11 For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.
Ɛwɔ mu sɛ wɔbɔ pɔw tia wo na wɔyɛ nhyehyɛe bɔne, nanso wɔrenni nkonim;
12 For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.
efisɛ wobɛma wɔasan wɔn akyi bere a woatwe bɛmma akyerɛ wɔn so no.
13 Be exalted, LORD, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.
Yɛma wo so, Awurade, wɔ wʼahoɔden mu; yɛbɛto nnwom na yɛakamfo wo kɛseyɛ.
