< Psalms 22 >

1 For the Chief Musician; set to “The Doe of the Morning.” A Psalm by David. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?
Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Wɔto no sɛnea wɔto “Adekyee forote” dwom. Dawid dwom. Me Nyankopɔn, me Nyankopɔn, adɛn nti na woagyaw me? Adɛn nti na me nkwagye ne wo ntam aware, adɛn na mʼapinisi nsɛm ne wo ntam aware?
2 My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don’t answer; in the night season, and am not silent.
Me Nyankopɔn, misu frɛ wo awia, nanso wunnye me so, mefrɛ wo anadwo, nanso minnya ɔhome.
3 But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.
Nanso wɔasi wo hene sɛ Ɔkronkronni; wo na Israel kamfo wo.
4 Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them.
Wo mu na yɛn agyanom de wɔn werɛ hyɛe; wogyee wo dii, na wugyee wɔn.
5 They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.
Wosu frɛɛ wo na wugyee wɔn, wɔde wɔn ho too wo so na woanni wɔn nhuammɔ.
6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.
Nanso meyɛ osunson, na menyɛ onipa nnipa bɔ me ahohora na wobu me animtiaa.
7 All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,
Obiara a ohu me di me ho fɛw; wotwa me adapaa, wosow wɔn ti ka se:
8 “He trusts in the LORD. Let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”
“Ɔde ne ho to Awurade so; ma Awurade mmegye no. Ma ɔmmɛboa no, efisɛ ɔwɔ no mu anigye.”
9 But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust while at my mother’s breasts.
Wo na wuyii me fii awotwaa mu bae na womaa me de me ho too wo so bere a mitua me na nufu ano mpo.
10 I was thrown on you from my mother’s womb. You are my God since my mother bore me.
Efi mʼawo mu na wɔde me too wo so; efi me na yafunu mu, woayɛ me Nyankopɔn.
11 Don’t be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is no one to help.
Ntwe wo ho mfi me ho! Efisɛ amane abɛn na ɔboafo nni baabi.
12 Many bulls have surrounded me. Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.
Anantwinini bebree atwa me ho ahyia; Basan anantwinini a wɔn ho yɛ den atwa me ho ahyia.
13 They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey and roaring.
Gyata a wɔbobɔ mu na wɔtetew wɔn hanam mu abuebue wɔn anom tɛtrɛɛ de kyerɛ me.
14 I am poured out like water. All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax. It is melted within me.
Wɔahwie me agu sɛ nsu, na me nnompe nyinaa ahodwow. Me koma adan amane; anan wɔ me mu.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have brought me into the dust of death.
Mʼanom ayow te sɛ kyɛmfɛre mu. Na me tɛkrɛma atare mʼanom. Wode me to owu mfutuma mu.
16 For dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and feet.
Akraman atwa me ho ahyia, nnebɔneyɛfo kuw atwa me ahyia, wɔahwirew me nsa ne mʼanan mu.
17 I can count all of my bones. They look and stare at me.
Me nnompe nyinaa gu petee mu; Mʼatamfo hwɛ me haa na wɔserew me.
18 They divide my garments amongst them. They cast lots for my clothing.
Wɔkyɛ me atade mu fa, na wɔbɔ me ntama so ntonto.
19 But don’t be far off, LORD. You are my help. Hurry to help me!
Na wo, Awurade, ntwe wo ho; wone mʼahoɔden, bra ntɛm bɛboa me.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog.
Gye me kra fi afoa ano; gye me nkwa a ɛsom bo no fi akraman tumi ase.
21 Save me from the lion’s mouth! Yes, you have rescued me from the horns of the wild oxen.
Gye me nkwa fi gyata anom; gye me fi ɛko mmɛn so.
22 I will declare your name to my brothers. Amongst the assembly, I will praise you.
Mɛbɔ wo din akyerɛ me nuanom; mɛkamfo wo wɔ wɔn a wɔahyia hɔ no nyinaa anim.
23 You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him! Stand in awe of him, all you descendants of Israel!
Monkamfo Awurade, mo a musuro no no! Mo a moyɛ Yakob asefo, monhyɛ no anuonyam! Mo Israel asefo nyinaa, munni no ni!
24 For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.
Ommuu nʼani nguu ɔmanehunufo ateetee so ɛ, ɔmfaa nʼanim nhintaw no; na mmom watie ne sufrɛ a ɔde rehwehwɛ mmoa no.
25 My praise of you comes in the great assembly. I will pay my vows before those who fear him.
Me botae a mede yi wo ayɛ wɔ bagua mu no fi wo; medi me bɔhyɛ so wɔ wɔn a wosuro wo no anim.
26 The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise the LORD who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever.
Ahiafo bedidi na wɔamee; wɔn a wɔhwehwɛ Awurade beyi no ayɛ, mo koma nnya nkwa daa.
27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD. All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.
Asase ano nyinaa bɛkae akɔ Awurade nkyɛn, na amanaman no mmusua nyinaa bɛkotow nʼanim,
28 For the kingdom is the LORD’s. He is the ruler over the nations.
efisɛ tumi wɔ Awurade na odi amanaman so hene.
29 All the rich ones of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him, even he who can’t keep his soul alive.
Asase so adefo nyinaa bedidi na wɔasɔre no; wɔn a wɔkɔ dɔte mu nyinaa bebu nkotodwe nʼanim, wɔn a wɔrentumi mma nkwa mu.
30 Posterity shall serve him. Future generations shall be told about the Lord.
Nkyirimma nyinaa bɛsom no; wɔbɛka Awurade ho asɛm akyerɛ awo ntoatoaso a edidi so.
31 They shall come and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, for he has done it.
Wɔbɛka ne trenee akyerɛ nnipa a wonnya nwoo wɔn efisɛ ɔno na wayɛ.
