< Psalms 20 >

1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high,
Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Dawid dwom. Awurade ntie wo wɔ wʼahohia mu; Yakob Nyankopɔn din mmɔ wo ho ban.
2 send you help from the sanctuary, grant you support from Zion,
Ɔmfa mmoa mfi kronkronbea hɔ mmrɛ wo, na omfi Sion mmɛhyɛ wo den.
3 remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. (Selah)
Ɔnkae wʼafɔrebɔ nyinaa, na ɔmma wo hyew afɔre nsɔ nʼani.
4 May he grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfil all your counsel.
Ɔmma wo nea wo koma pɛ, na wo nhyehyɛe nyinaa nyɛ yiye.
5 We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May the LORD grant all your requests.
Yɛbɛbɔ ose bere a woadi nkonim, na yɛama yɛn frankaa so wɔ yɛn Nyankopɔn din mu. Awurade nyɛ wʼabisade nyinaa mma wo.
6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand.
Afei mahu sɛ Awurade ma nea wasra no no nkonimdi, ofi ne kronkronbea wɔ ɔsoro gye no so, ɔde ne nkonimdi tumi a ɛwɔ ne nsa nifa mu no.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
Ebinom de wɔn ho to wɔn nteaseɛnam so na afoforo nso, wɔn apɔnkɔ so, nanso yɛn de, yɛde yɛn ho to Awurade yɛn Nyankopɔn din so.
8 They are bowed down and fallen, but we rise up, and stand upright.
Wɔbrɛ wɔn ase ma wɔhwehwe ase, na yɛn de, yɛsɔre gyina kirebenn.
9 Save, LORD! Let the King answer us when we call!
Awurade, ma ɔhene nkonimdi! Yɛfrɛ a, gye yɛn so!
