< Psalms 105 >

1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
Vongai Jehovha, danai kuzita rake; zivisai zvaakaita pakati pendudzi.
2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
Muimbirei, muimbirei nziyo dzokurumbidza; rondedzerai mabasa ake ose anoshamisa.
3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Ngarikudzwe zita rake dzvene; mwoyo yavanotsvaka Jehovha ngaifare.
4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
Tarirai kuna Jehovha nokusimba rake; tsvakai chiso chake nguva dzose.
5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Rangarirai zvishamiso zvaakaita, mabasa ake, nezvaakatonga zvaakareva,
6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
imi vana vaAbhurahama muranda wake, haiwa vanakomana vaJakobho, vasanangurwa vake.
7 He [is] the LORD our God: his judgments [are] in all the earth.
Ndiye Jehovha Mwari wedu; kutonga kwake kuri munyika yose.
8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word [which] he commanded to a thousand generations.
Anorangarira sungano yake nokusingaperi, iro shoko raakarayira, kuchiuru chezvizvarwa,
9 Which [covenant] he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
sungano yaakaita naAbhurahama, mhiko yaakapika kuna Isaka.
10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, [and] to Israel [for] an everlasting covenant:
Akaisimbisa kuna Jakobho somutemo, nokuna Israeri sesungano isingaperi achiti,
11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
“Ndichapa nyika yeKenani kwauri somugove wenhaka yako.”
12 When they were [but] a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
Pavaiva vashoma pakuwanda, zvirokwazvo vari vashoma, uye vari vaeni mairi,
13 When they went from one nation to another, from [one] kingdom to another people;
vakadzungaira vachibva kuno rumwe rudzi kusvikira kuno rumwe rudzi. Kubva kuno humwe ushe vachienda kuno humwe.
14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
Haana kutendera munhu kuvadzvinyirira; akatuka madzimambo nokuda kwavo achiti,
15 [Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
“Musabata vazodziwa vangu; musaitira vaprofita vangu zvakaipa.”
16 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
Akadana nzara panyika ikaparadza zvose zvaiuyisa zvokudya;
17 He sent a man before them, [even] Joseph, [who] was sold for a servant:
uye akatuma munhu pamberi pavo, iye Josefa, akatengeswa senhapwa.
18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
Vakakuvadza tsoka dzake nezvisungo mutsipa wake ukaiswa mumatare esimbi,
19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
kusvikira zvaakareva zvazadziswa, kusvikira shoko raJehovha raratidza kutendeka kwake.
20 The king sent and loosed him; [even] the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
Mambo akatuma shoko kuti asunungurwe, vatongi vavanhu vakamuregedza.
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
Akamuita tenzi weimba yake, nomutongi wepfuma yake yose,
22 To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
kuti arayire machinda ake sezvaaida uye adzidzise vakuru vake njere.
23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
Ipapo Israeri akapinda muIjipiti; Jakobho akagara somweni munyika yaHamu.
24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
Jehovha akawanza vanhu vake chose; akavaita vazhinji kwazvo kupinda vavengi vavo,
25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
avo vaakashandura mwoyo yavo kuti ivenge vanhu vake, kuti varangane pamusoro pavaranda vake.
26 He sent Moses his servant; [and] Aaron whom he had chosen.
Akatuma Mozisi muranda wake, naAroni, waakanga asarudza.
27 They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
Vakaita zviratidzo zvinoshamisa pakati pavo, izvo zvishamiso zvake munyika yaHamu.
28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
Akatumira rima akaita kuti nyika ive murima, nokuti havana kumukira shoko rake here?
29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
Akashandura mvura yavo zhinji ikava ropa, zvikaita kuti hove dzavo dzife.
30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
Nyika yavo yakazara namatatya, akapinda mudzimba dzamadzimambo avo.
31 He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, [and] lice in all their coasts.
Akataura mapupira enhunzi akauya, nenda munyika yavo yose.
32 He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land.
Akashandura mvura yavo ikava chimvuramabwe, nemheni munyika yavo yose;
33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
akarova mizambiringa yavo nemionde yavo, akaparadza miti yomunyika yavo.
34 He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
Akataura, mhashu dzikauya, namagutaguta asingaverengeki;
35 And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
zvakadya miriwo minyoro yose munyika yavo, zvikadya zvibereko zvevhu ravo.
36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
Ipapo akarova matangwe munyika yavo, zvibereko zvokutanga zvesimba roujaya hwavo.
37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and [there was] not one feeble [person] among their tribes.
Akabudisa Israeri akaremerwa nesirivha negoridhe, kwakanga kusina akagumburwa pakati pamarudzi avo.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
Ijipiti yakafara pavakabva, nokuti kutya vaIsraeri kwakanga kwavabata.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
Akatatamura gore rikava chifukidzo, uye moto kuti uvhenekere usiku.
40 [The people] asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
Vakakumbira, iye akavauyisira zvihuta, uye akavagutsa nechingwa chakabva kudenga.
41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.
Akazarura dombo, mvura ikatubuka; ikayerera mugwenga sorwizi.
42 For he remembered his holy promise, [and] Abraham his servant.
Nokuti akarangarira mhiko yake tsvene yaakapa Abhurahama muranda wake.
43 And he brought forth his people with joy, [and] his chosen with gladness:
Akabudisa vanhu vake nomufaro, vasanangurwa vake nokupembera kwomufaro;
44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
akavapa nyika dzendudzi, vakagara nhaka yakanga yatamburirwa navamwe,
45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
kuti vachengete zvaakatema uye vacherechedze mirayiro yake. Rumbidzai Jehovha.
