For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He has taken the wise in their craftiness.”

فَإِنَّ حِكْمَةَ هَذَا الْعَالَمِ هِيَ جَهَالَةٌ فِي نَظَرِ اللهِ. فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ كُتِبَ: «إِنَّهُ يُمْسِكُ الْحُكَمَاءَ بِمَكْرِهِمْ»
ܚܟܡܬܗ ܓܝܪ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܠܠܘܬܐ ܗܝ ܠܘܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܟܬܝܒ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܚܕ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܒܚܪܥܘܬܗܘܢ
Որովհետեւ այս աշխարհի իմաստութիւնը՝ Աստուծոյ քով յիմարութիւն է. քանի որ գրուած է. «Ան իմաստունները կը բռնէ իրենց խորամանկութեան մէջ»:
কাৰণ ঈশ্বৰৰ দৃষ্টিত এই জগতৰ জ্ঞান মূৰ্খতাস্বৰূপ। কিয়নো লিখা আছে, ‘তেওঁ জ্ঞানী সকলক তেওঁলোকৰ ধুৰ্ত্ততাত ধৰে’।

যেহেতু এই জগতের যে জ্ঞান, তা ঈশ্বরের কাছে মূর্খতা। কারণ লেখা আছে, “তিনি জ্ঞানীদেরকে তাদের ছলচাতুরিতে (বুদ্ধিতে) ধরেন।”
কারণ ঈশ্বরের দৃষ্টিতে এই জগতের জ্ঞান মূর্খতামাত্র। যেমন লেখা আছে: “জ্ঞানীদের তিনি তাদের ধূর্ততায় ধরে ফেলেন,”
किजोकि इस दुनियारी अक्ल परमेशरे कां बेवकूफीए, ज़ेन्च़रे पवित्रशास्त्रे मां लिखोरूए; “परमेशर ज्ञैन्न तैन केरे च़लैकी मां फसाते।”
क्योंकि इस संसारे दे लोक जिना गल्लां जो ज्ञान समझदे न, सै सारियां गल्लां परमेश्वरे दिया नजरां च मुर्खता है, जियां पबित्र शास्त्र च लिखया है की, “परमेश्वर ज्ञानी लोकां दी चलाकियां च उना जो फसाई दिन्दा है।”

Jer mudrost ovoga svijeta ludost je pred Bogom. Ta pisano je: On hvata mudre u njihovu lukavstvu.
