Від Луки 4
1 А Ісус, повний Духа Святого, вернувсь з-над Йорда́ну, і Дух на пустиню Його попрова́див.
Then Jesus, being full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River, and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness,
2 Сорок день там диявол Його спокуша́в, і за тих днів Він нічого не їв, а коли закінчи́лись вони, то вкінці зголодні́в.
where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of that time he was hungry.
3 І диявол до Нього сказав: „Якщо Ти Син Божий, — скажи цьому ка́меневі, щоб хлі́бом він став!“
The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
4 А Ісус відповів йому: „Написано: Не хлібом самим буде жити люди́на, але кожним Словом Божим!“
Jesus answered him, “It is written, 'Man does not live on bread alone.'”
5 І він вивів Його на го́ру високу, і за хвилину ча́су показав Йому всі царства на світі.
Then the devil led Jesus up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in an instant of time.
6 І диявол сказав Йому: „Я дам Тобі всю оцю вла́ду та їхню славу, бо мені це пере́дане, і я даю, кому хочу, її.
The devil said to him, “I will give to you all this authority and all their splendor, for they have been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want.
7 Тож коли Ти покло́нишся передо мною, то все буде Твоє!“
So then, if you will bow down and worship me, it will be yours.”
8 І промовив Ісус йому в відповідь: „Написано: Господеві Богові своєму вклоняйся, і служи Одно́му Йому!“
But Jesus answered and said to him, “It is written, 'You will worship the Lord your God, and you will serve only him.'”
9 І повів Його в Єрусалим, і на нарі́жнику храму поставив, та й каже Йому: „Як Ти Син Божий, — кинься звідси додолу!
Then the devil led Jesus to Jerusalem and put him on the very highest point of the temple building, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here.
10 Бо написано: „Він накаже про Тебе Своїм Ангола́м, щоб Тебе берегли!“
For it is written, 'He will give orders to his angels regarding you, to protect you,'
11 і: „Вони на руках понесуть Тебе, щоб коли не спіткнув Ти об камінь Своєї ноги!“
and, 'They will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'”
12 А Ісус відказав йому в відповідь: „Сказано: Не спокуша́й Господа Бога свого́!“
Answering him, Jesus said, “It is said, 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'”
13 І диявол, скінчи́вши все цеє споку́шування, відійшов від Нього до ча́су.
When the devil had finished testing Jesus, he went away and left him until another time.
14 А Ісус у силі Духа вернувся до Галілеї, і чутка про Нього розне́слась по всій тій країні.
Then Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread throughout the entire surrounding region.
15 І Він їх навчав по їхніх синагогах, і всі Його сла́вили.
Then he began to teach in their synagogues and he was praised by all.
16 І прибув Він до Назаре́ту, де був ви́хований. І звича́єм Своїм Він прийшов дня суботнього до синаго́ги, і встав, щоб читати.
He came into Nazareth, where he had been raised, and as was his custom, he entered the synagogue on the Sabbath day and he stood up to read aloud.
17 І подали́ Йому книгу пророка Ісаї. Розгорнувши ж Він книгу, знайшов місце, де було так написано:
The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the scroll and found the place where it was written,
18 „На Мені Дух Господній, бо Мене Він пома́зав, щоб Добру Нови́ну звіщати вбогим. Послав Він Мене проповідувати полоне́ним визво́лення, а незрячим прозрі́ння, відпустити на волю пому́чених,
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he anointed me to tell good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed,
19 щоб проповідувати рік Господнього зми́лування“.
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”
20 І, книгу згорнувши, віддав службі й сів. А очі всіх у синагозі звернулись на Ньо́го.
Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him.
21 І почав Він до них говорити: „Сьогодні збуло́ся Писа́ння, яке ви почули!“
He began to speak to them, “Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
22 І всі Йому стверджували й дивувались словам благода́ті, що ли́нули з уст Його. І казали вони: „Чи ж то Він не син Йо́сипів?“
Everyone there spoke well of him and they were amazed at the gracious words which were coming out of his mouth, and they asked, “Is this not the son of Joseph?”
23 Він же промовив до них: „Ви Мені конче скажете при́казку: „Лікарю, — уздоров самого себе! Учини те й тут, у вітчи́зні Своїй, що́ сталося — чули ми — у Капернау́мі“.
He said to them, “Surely you will say this proverb to me, 'Doctor, heal yourself. Whatever we heard that you did in Capernaum, do the same in your hometown.'”
24 І сказав Він: „Поправді кажу вам: Жоден пророк не буває приємний у вітчи́зні своїй.
But he said, “Truly I say to you, no prophet is received in his own hometown.
25 Та правдиво кажу́ вам: Багато вдовиць перебува́ло за днів Іллі серед Ізраїля, коли на три роки й шість місяців небо було́ зачинилося, так що голод великий настав був по всій тій землі,
But in truth I tell you that there were many widows in Israel during the time of Elijah, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months, and a great famine came upon all the land.
26 а Ілля́ не до жодної з них не був посланий, тільки в Саре́пту Сидо́нську до овдові́лої жінки.
But Elijah was sent to none of them, but only to Zarephath in Sidon, to a widow living there.
27 І багато було́ прокаже́них за Єлисе́я пророка в Ізраїлі, але жоден із них не очи́стився, крім Неєма́на сирі́янина“.
There were many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet, but none of them were healed except Naaman the Syrian.”
28 І всі в синагозі, почувши оце, перепо́внились гнівом.
All the people in the synagogue were filled with rage when they heard these things.
29 І, вставши, вони Його вигнали за місто, і повели́ аж до кра́ю гори, на якій їхнє місто було побудо́ване, щоб скинути додолу Його.
They got up, forced him out of the town, and led him to the cliff of the hill on which their town was built, so they might throw him off the cliff.
30 Але Він перейшов серед них, і віддали́вся.
But he passed through the middle of them and he went to another place.
31 І прийшов Він у Капернау́м, галілейське місто, і там їх навчав по суботах.
Then he went down to Capernaum, a city in Galilee, and he began to teach them on the Sabbath.
32 І дивувались науці Його, бо слово Його було вла́дне.
They were astonished at his teaching, because he spoke with authority.
33 І був чоловік у синагозі, що мав духа нечистого де́мона, і він закричав гучни́м голосом:
Now in the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,
34 „Ах, що нам до Тебе, Ісусе Назаряни́не? Ти прийшов погубити нас. Я знаю Тебе, хто Ти, — Божий Святий“.
“Ah! What do we have to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”
35 А Ісус заборони́в йому, кажучи: „Замовчи, і вийди з нього!“І, кинувши де́мон того насере́дину, вийшов із нього, нічо́го йому не пошко́дивши.
Jesus rebuked the demon, saying, “Do not speak! Come out of him!” When the demon had thrown the man down in the middle of them, he came out of him, and did not harm him in any way.
36 І всіх жах обгорнув, і питали вони один о́дного, кажучи: „Що́ то за наука, що ду́хам нечистим наказує з вла́дою й силою, — і виходять вони?“
All the people were very amazed, and they kept talking about it with one another. They said, “What kind of words are these? He commands the unclean spirits with authority and power and they come out.”
37 І не́слася чутка про Нього по всіх місцях кра́ю.
So news about him began to spread into every part of the surrounding region.
38 А як вийшов Він із синагоги, увійшов у дім Си́мона. Теща ж Си́монова в великій гарячці лежала. І просили за неї Його.
Then Jesus left the synagogue and entered into the house of Simon. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering with a high fever, and they pleaded with him on her behalf.
39 І, ставши над нею, Він заборони́в тій гарячці, — і вона полишила її. І, зараз уставши, теща їм прислуго́вувала.
So he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. Immediately she got up and started serving them.
40 Коли ж сонце захо́дило, то всі, хто мав яких хворих на різні неду́ги, до Нього приво́дили їх. Він же клав Свої руки на кожного з них, — та їх уздоровля́в.
When the sun was setting, people brought to Jesus everyone who was sick with various kinds of diseases. He laid his hands on every one of them and healed them.
41 Із багатьох же вихо́дили й де́мони, кричачи́ та гово́рячи: „Ти Син Божий!“Та Він їм забороня́в, і не давав говорити, що знали вони, що Христос Він.
Demons also came out from many of them, crying out and saying, “You are the Son of God!” Jesus rebuked the demons and would not let them speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
42 Коли ж настав день, Він вийшов, і подавсь до самотнього місця. А люди шукали Його. І прийшовши до Нього, Його затримували, щоб від них не відхо́див.
When daybreak came, he went out into a solitary place. Crowds of people were looking for him and came to the place where he was. They tried to keep him from going away from them.
43 Він же промовив до них: „І іншим містам Я повинен звіщати Добру Нови́ну про Боже Царство, — бо на те Мене по́слано“.
But he said to them, “I must also preach the good news about the kingdom of God to many other cities, because this is the reason I was sent here.”
44 І Він проповідував по синагогах Галілеї.
Then he continued to preach in the synagogues throughout Judea.
