Псалми 46
1 Керівнику хору. Синів Кореєвих пісня. На мотив аламот. Бог – пристановище наше й міць, допомога в скорботах, що завжди знаходиться [поруч].
“For the leader of the music. Of, or for, the sons of Korah. To be sung in the manner, or with the voice, of virgins.” God is our refuge and strength; An ever present help in trouble.
2 Тому ми не злякаємось, хоч би навіть земля здригнулася й гори ринули в морську безодню,
Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be changed; Though the mountains tremble in the heart of the sea;
3 так що заревли б і запінилися води [від їхнього падіння], і скелі б затремтіли від [того] збурення води. (Села)
Though its waters roar and be troubled, And the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. (Pause)
4 Річкові потоки радують місто Боже, святилище, де мешкає Всевишній.
A river with its streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling-place of the Most High.
5 Бог посеред нього – воно не захитається; Бог допоможе йому ще вдосвіта.
God is the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her, and that full early.
6 Збентежилися народи, похитнулися царства, подав Він Свій голос – тане земля.
The nations raged; kingdoms were moved; He uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 Господь Воїнств із нами; Твердиня наша – Бог Якова. (Села)
The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. (Pause)
8 Підіть-но, погляньте на діяння Господа, які спустошення здійснив Він на землі,
Come, behold the doings of the LORD; What desolations he hath made in the earth!
9 припиняючи війни аж до краю землі. Він ламає лук і розщеплює [древко] списа, колісниці спалює вогнем.
He causeth wars to cease to the end of the earth; He hath broken the bow, and snapped the spear asunder, And burned the chariots in fire.
10 «Вгамуйтеся й пізнайте, що Я – Бог; Я буду звеличений серед народів, звеличений на землі».
“Desist, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted throughout the earth!”
11 Господь Воїнств із нами, Твердиня наша – Бог Якова. (Села)
The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.
