Matthew 20
1 “Invân Rêngram chu mi inkhatin a grapebila mi senkhat inloa sintho rang rokin jîng renga ajôkpai angin ani.
For the kingdom of the heavens, is like, a man, a householder, —who went forth with the morning, to hire labourers into his vineyard;
2 Ama'n a sinthopungei hah asûna duli pêk ngei rangin a jôta, male a grapebila sintho rangin a tîr ngei zoi.
and, when he had agreed with the labourers for a denary the day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 Jîng dâr kuo ânringin chu bazar muna a se nôka, mahan mi senkhat ite tho loia an inding ava mua,
And, going forth about the third hour, he saw others, standing in the market-place, unemployed;
4 masikin an kôm, ‘Nangni khom se ungla, grapebila va sin ungla, rathaman asadên nangni pêk ki tih,’ a tipe ngeia.
and, to them, he said—ye also, go your way into the vineyard, and, whatsoever may be right, I will give you;
5 Masikin an se zoi. Hanchu sûn dâr sômleinik le chonûk dâr thuma khom ma angdênin a thoa.
and, they, departed. And, again, going forth about the sixth and ninth hour, he did likewise.
6 Kholoi dâr rangnga ânring rangtôn bazar muna ava se nôka, mi senkhat ite sin loia ânding chien ava mu ngei nôka. An kôm, ‘Ithomo ite sin loiin mahin sûn nin min hek?’ tiin a rekel ngeia.
And, about the eleventh, going forth, he found others, standing, and saith unto them—Why, here, stand ye, all the day, unemployed?
7 Anni han a kôm, ‘tutên mi min lo mak ngei,’ tiin an thuona. Asa, hanchu, nangni khom se ungla grapebila sin va tho roi,” a tipe ngeia.
They say unto him—Because, no one, hath hired, us. He saith unto them—Ye also, go your way into the vineyard.
8 Kholoi ahong nîn chu, a pumapa han a sum vongpu kôm han, “Sinthopu ngei hah koi inla, anûktaka hong inlopu ngei renga phutin amasataka hong inlopu ngei dênin an rathaman pêk ngei roh,” a tia.
And, when evening came, the master of the vineyard saith unto his steward—Call the labourers, and pay the hire, —beginning from the last, unto the first.
9 Kholoi dâr rangnga sintho koppu ngei ha chu duli chit pêk an nia.
And they of the eleventh hour, coming, received severally a denary.
10 Masikin motontaka sintho koppu ngei hah an hongin chu atam uol man rangin an mindona; hannirese anni khom duli chit kêng pêk an ni.
And, when the first came, they supposed that, more, they should receive, —and, they also, received severally a denary.
11 An sum hah an lâka, a pumapa chunga an chier phut zoi.
And, having received it, they began to murmur against the householder, saying—
12 “Hi mi nûktaka hôn lo ngei hi chu dâr khat vai an sinna ania, keini chu nisa luma sûntuonin kin sina, hannoma, keini mi ni pêk dôr nanâk anni khom ne pêka!” an tia.
These last, one hour, wrought, and thou hast made them, equal unto us, who have borne the burden of the day, and the scorching heat.
13 A pumapa han, an lâia inkhat kôm han, “‘Rangâi ta, mal,’ nang huong mu-ung. Ikhomnirse asûna duli loa sintho ranga no jôt ani.
And, he, answering, unto one of them, said, —Friend! I wrong thee not: Was it not, for a denary, thou didst agree with me?
14 Atûn na rathaman lâk inla, ni ina se roh. Nangma nang ke pêk dôr hih hi anûktaka a hon lopu khom hih pêk ku nuom ani.
Take thine own, and go thy way; but I please, unto this last, to give, as also to thee:
15 Ka sum chu ki ti lamtaka mang rangin rachamneina dôn mu-ung mo? Aninônchu ka mannarloi sikin na narsa mini?” a tipea.
Is it not allowed me to do, what I please, with my own? or is, thine eye, evil, because I good?
16 Hanchu Jisua'n, “Masikin anûktak ngei hah amotontak la nîng an ta, amotontak ngei hah anûktak la nîng an tih,” tiin chongkhârnân a tia.
Thus, shall be—The last first, and the first last.
17 Jisua Jerusalem tena se lâihan, ruoisingei sômleinik hah an theiin a tuong ngeia, lampuia an lôn pumin inrûkten an kôm,
And, Jesus, being about to go up unto Jerusalem, took unto him the twelve [disciples], apart, and, in the way, he said unto them—
18 “Rangâi ta u, Jerusalema ei se rang ania, mahan Miriem Nâipasal hi Ochaisingei le Balam minchupungei kuta minsûrin om a tih. Thi rangin theiloimintum an ta,
Lo! we are going up unto Jerusalem; and, the Son of Man, will be delivered up unto the chief-priests and Scribes, and they will condemn him, [to death],
19 hanchu Jentailngei kuta pêk an ta, anni han munui inzanân mang an ta, vîk an ta, khrosa jêmdel an tih; hannirese sûnthum suole chu aringin kaithoiin om a tih,” a tia.
And deliver him up unto the nations, to mock and to scourge and to crucify, —and, on the third day, he will, arise.
20 Hanchu Jebedee lômnu hah a nâipasal inik ngei leh Jisua kôm an honga, amakunga khûkinbilin, a lungkhamna a zonga.
Then came unto him the mother of the sons of Zebedee, with her sons, bowing down, and asking something from him.
21 Jisua'n a kôm, “Imo nu nuom?” tiin amanu hah a rekela. Amanu han, “Hi ka nâipasal inik ngei hih Rêng nini tika na chang tieng inkhat no voitieng inkhat min sung rangin chong mênkhâm pe roh,” tiin a thuona.
And, he, said to her—What desirest thou? She saith unto him—Bid, that these my two sons may sit, one on thy right hand, and one on thy left, in thy kingdom.
22 Jisua'n, nâipasalngei kôm han, “Nin zong hih nin riet loi ani, Tuongna kilât ki nêk rang hih nin nêk thei rang mo?” a tia. “Thei kin tih,” tiin an thuona.
But Jesus, answering, said—Ye know not what ye are asking: Are ye able to drink the cup, which, I, am about to drink; They say unto him—We are able.
23 Jisua'n an kôm, “Ki kilât chu nêk tatak nan ta,” hannirese, “tumo ka chang tieng le ko voi tienga ânsung rang chu keiman zen rangin racham dôn mu-ung. Hi munngei hih chu ka Pa'n a mintuo pe ngei ta rang kêng ani,” a tia.
He saith unto them—My cup, indeed, ye shall drink; but, to sit on my right hand and on my left, is not mine to give, —except unto those for whom it hath been prepared by my Father.
24 Ruoisi dang sômngei han ma chong hah an rietin chu, lâibung inik ngei chunga an ningathik zoia.
And the ten, hearing, were sorely displeased, concerning the two brethren.
25 Masikin Jisua'n an rêngin a koitûp ngeia, an kôm, “Jentailngei chunga roijêkpua an phunngei chu an chunga an inlaltatak ngâia, an ruoipungei khom an chunga rachamneina an dôn ok ngâi iti nin riet.
But, Jesus, calling them near, said—Ye know that, the rulers of the nations, lord it over them, and, the great ones, wield authority over them:
26 Nikhomrese, nin lâia chu ma anghin ani rang nimak. Tukhomin alien a nuomin chu, nin tîrlâm ani bak ngêt rang ani;
Not so, is it, among you, —but, whosoever shall desire, among you, to become, great, shall be, your minister;
27 Mapêna, nin lâia tukhomin amotontak ani nuomin chu nin tîrlâm a chang bak ngêt rang ani.
And, whosoever shall desire, among you, to be first, shall be, your servant: —
28 Miriem Nâipasal luo mana min a sin an tho pe rangin juong maka, mi sin tho pe rang le mi tamtak rattan ranga a ringna pêk rangin kêng a juong ani,” a tia.
Just as, the Son of Man, came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom instead of many.
29 Jisua le a ruoisingei Jericho hah an mâkin chu, mipui tamtakin an jûia.
And, as they were going forth from Jericho, there followed him a great multitude;
30 Mitcho inik lampui kôla insungin Jisua a hongvun iti an rietin chu, “David Nâipasal! Kin chunga inrieng mi mu roh, Pu!” tiin an in-ieka.
and lo! two blind men, sitting beside the road, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried aloud saying—Lord! have mercy on us! Son of David!
31 Mipui ngei han dâirek rangin an ngo ngeia. Aniatachu anni han, “David Nâipasal! Kin chunga inrieng mimu roh, Pu!” tiin an iniek minring uola.
But the multitude rebuked them, that they might hold their peace. But, they, the more, cried aloud, saying—Lord, have mercy on us! Son of David!
32 Jisua ânngama a koi ngeia, “Imo nangni rangin ni min tho nin nuom?” tiin a rekel ngeia.
And, standing still, Jesus called them, and said—What desire ye I should do for you?
33 “Pu, mitvârna mi ni pêk rang hih kin nuom ani!” tiin an thuona.
They say unto him—Lord! that, our eyes, may open.
34 Jisua'n an chunga inriengmuna a dôna, an mitngei hah a tôn pe ngeia, voikhatrengin an hong mu thei kelena, a nûk an jûi zoi ani.
And, moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, —and, straightway, they recovered sight, and followed him.
