So he, that loveth his life, shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, shall preserve it unto life eternal. (aiōnios )
Respondit ei turba: Nos audivimus ex lege, quia Christus manet in æternum: et quomodo tu dicis, Oportet exaltari Filium hominis? Quis est iste Filius hominis? (aiōn )
The people answered Him, We have heard out of the law, that the Messiah abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, the Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
Quæ ergo ego loquor, sicut dixit mihi Pater, sic loquor. (aiōnios )
And I know that his commandment is life eternal: the things therefore which I speak, I so speak, as the Father hath directed me. (aiōnios )
Dicit ei Petrus: Non lavabis mihi pedes in æternum. Respondit ei Iesus: Si non lavero te, non habebis partem mecum. (aiōn )
Peter saith to Him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I do not wash thee, thou hast no part with me.
and He will give you another comforter to abide with you for ever: (aiōn )
Sicut dedisti ei potestatem omnis carnis, ut omne, quod dedisti ei, det eis vitam æternam. (aiōnios )
as Thou hast given Him power over all flesh, that as to all which Thou hast given Him, He might give them eternal life; (aiōnios )
and this is life eternal, to know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.
that Thou wilt not leave my soul in the invisible state, nor suffer thine holy one to see corruption.
foreseeing this he spake of the resurrection of Christ, when he said, that his soul was not left in the invisible state, nor did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs )
quem oportet quidem cælum suscipere usque in tempora restitutionis omnium, quæ locutus est Deus per os sanctorum suorum a sæculo Prophetarum. (aiōn )
whom heaven must indeed receive till the times of settling all things, of which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets from the beginning.
Then Paul and Barnabas boldly said, It was necessary that the word of God should be first spoken to you; but since ye reject it, and judge not yourselves worthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles: (aiōnios )
And when the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were determined for eternal life believed. (aiōnios )
Notum a sæculo est Domino opus suum. (aiōn )
Now all his works are known unto God from the beginning of the world: (aiōn )
Inasmuch as from the first creation of the world, the invisible things of Him, even his eternal power and Godhead, are, if attended to, clearly seen in his works: (aïdios )
Amen. (aiōn )
who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature instead of the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
to them, who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, and honor, and immortality, eternal life: (aiōnios )
so grace might reign through righteousness, unto eternal life, by Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios )
Nunc vero liberati a peccato, servi autem facti Deo, habetis fructum vestrum in santificationem, finem vero vitam æternam. (aiōnios )
But now being set free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. (aiōnios )
Stipendia enim peccati, mors. Gratia autem Dei, vita æterna, in Christo Iesu Domino nostro. (aiōnios )
For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen. (aiōn )
whose are the fathers, and of whom, as to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all God blessed for ever. Amen.
(Abyssos )
who shall descend into the deep, (that is, to (Abyssos )
For God hath included them all in the charge of disobedience, that He might have mercy upon all.
Amen. (aiōn )
For of Him, and through Him, and for Him, are all things. To Him be glory for ever. Amen.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may experience what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
Now to Him that is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, (conformable to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret in former times, (aiōnios )
but is now manifested, and made known to all nations by the writings of the prophets, according to the appointment of the eternal God, (aiōnios )
Amen. (aiōn )
for the obedience of faith) to the only wise God be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Ubi sapiens? Ubi scriba? Ubi conquisitor huius sæculi? Nonne stultam fecit Deus sapientiam huius mundi? (aiōn )
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputant of the age? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
Yet we speak true wisdom among the perfect: though not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who come to nought.
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, that hidden wisdom which God ordained before the worlds for our glory: (aiōn )
which none of the rulers of this age knew; for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Let no one deceive himself: if any among you seem to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be truly wise. (aiōn )
Quapropter si esca scandalizat fratrem meum: non manducabo carnem in æternum, ne fratrem meum scandalizem. (aiōn )
wherefore if meat make my brother to offend, I will never eat flesh while I breathe, least I make my brother to offend.
Now all these things happened to them as examples: and are written for our admonition, on whom the last ages are come. (aiōn )
Ubi est mors victoria tua? Ubi est mors stimulus tuus? (Hadēs )
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
among whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, doth not shine unto them: (aiōn )
For our short and light affliction is working out for us an infinite and eternal weight of glory, as we aim not at the things which are visible, but invisible: (aiōnios )
for those, which are visible, are temporary, but the invisible are eternal.
For we know that if our earthly house, which is but as a tent, were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
(as it is written, "He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor, his righteousness continueth for ever."
And the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed for ever, knoweth that I lye not.
who gave himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from the present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father: (aiōn )
cui est gloria in sæcula sæculorum: Amen. (aiōn )
to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
He then, who soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he, that soweth to the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: (aiōn )
in quibus aliquando ambulastis secundum sæculum mundi huius, secundum principem potestatis aeris huius, spiritus, qui nunc operatur in filios diffidentiæ, (aiōn )
in which ye formerly walked after the manner of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that still operates in the children of disobedience: (aiōn )
ut ostenderet in sæculis supervenientibus abundantes divitias gratiæ suæ in bonitate super nos in Christo Iesu. (aiōn )
That in the ages to come He might shew the superabundant riches of his grace, in his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus.
and make all men to see the communication of the mystery, which from the ages past hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ; (aiōn )
secundum præfinitionem sæculorum, quam fecit in Christo Iesu Domino nostro: (aiōn )
according to the ancient purpose, which He executed in Christ Jesus our Lord: (aiōn )
Ipsi gloria in Ecclesia, et in Christo Iesu in omnes generationes sæculi sæculorum. Amen. (aiōn )
to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus, throughout all the generations of eternal ages. Amen.
For our conflict is not with flesh and blood only, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world and of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.
Now to our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
even that mystery which was hid from former ages and generations, but is now manifested to his saints: (aiōn )
Qui pœnas dabunt in interitu æternas a facie Domini, et a gloria virtutis eius: (aiōnios )
who shall be punished with everlasting destruction, by the presence of the Lord and by his glorious power: (aiōnios )
And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, (aiōnios )
But for this end I obtained mercy, that in me a chief sinner Jesus Christ might display his long-suffering, for an example to those who should afterwards believe on Him to eternal life.
Amen. (aiōn )
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Certa bonum certamen fidei, apprehende vitam æternam, in qua vocatus es, et confessus bonam confessionem coram multis testibus. (aiōnios )
Maintain the glorious combat of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which thou hast been called, and hast made a good profession before many witnesses.
who alone hath immortality, dwelling in light inaccessible, whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen.
Charge them, that are rich in this world, not to be high-minded nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who richly affords us all things for enjoyment: charge them to do good, (aiōn )
who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose, and grace bestowed upon us through Christ Jesus, before the world was, (aiōnios )
Therefore I submit to every thing for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is by Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.
through love of this world, and is gone to Thessalonica; as is Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia: Luke only is with me. (aiōn )
Liberavit me Dominus ab omni opere malo: et salvum faciet in regnum suum cæleste, cui gloria in sæcula sæculorum. Amen. (aiōn )
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me to his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory throughout all ages. Amen.
in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before all ages; (aiōnios )
teaching us that denying ungodliness, and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and righteously, and piously in this present world; (aiōn )
ut iustificati gratia ipsius, heredes simus secundum spem vitæ æternæ. (aiōnios )
that being justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
For perhaps he was therefore parted from thee for a season, that thou mightest receive him for ever: (aiōnios )
whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds. (aiōn )
Ad Filium autem: Thronus tuus Deus in sæculum sæculi: virga æquitatis, virga regni tui. (aiōn )
but to the Son, "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness: (aiōn )
Quemadmodum et in alio loco dicit: Tu es sacerdos in æternum, secundum ordinem Melchisedech. (aiōn )
As He saith also in another place, "Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."
He became the author of eternal salvation to all that obey Him: (aiōnios )
and of faith in God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and laying on of hands, and of the resurrection from the dead, and of eternal judgement: (tho' we will do this also, if God permit: ) (aiōnios )
and of the good word of God, (aiōn )
ubi præcursor pro nobis introivit Iesus, secundum ordinem Melchisedech Pontifex factus in æternum. (aiōn )
Whither Jesus our fore-runner is entered for us, being made an high-priest for ever, after the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn )
Contestatur enim: Quoniam tu es sacerdos in æternum, secundum ordinem Melchisedech. (aiōn )
For He testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
(for they indeed are become priests without the solemnity of an oath; but He with an oath, by Him who said unto Him, "The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:") (aiōn )
but He, because He abideth for ever, hath a priesthood that passeth not to any other: (aiōn )
For the law appointeth men high-priests, who have infirmity; but the oath, recorded since the law, appointeth the Son to be priest for ever, being fully perfected for it.
nor by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself spotless to God, purify your conscience from dead works, that ye may serve the living God?
And on this account He is the mediator of a new covenant, that undergoing death for the redemption of transgressions against the first covenant, they that are called might receive the promise of an eternal inheritance.
(for then He must indeed have suffered often since the foundation of the world) but now once at the conclusion of the ages He hath been made manifest for the abolishing of sin by the sacrifice of himself.
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, for the things which are seen were not made of things which appear. (aiōn )
Iesus Christus heri, et hodie: ipse et in sæcula. (aiōn )
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, to day, and for ever: (aiōn )
Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the everlasting covenant, (aiōnios )
Amen. (aiōn )
make you perfect in every good work, to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Et lingua ignis est, universitas iniquitatis. Lingua constituitur in membris nostris, quæ maculat totum corpus, et inflammat rotam nativitatis nostræ inflammata a Gehenna. (Geenna )
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our several parts, defiling the whole body, inflaming the course of nature, and is set on fire by hell. (Geenna )
being regenerated not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth for ever.
but the word of the Lord abideth for ever. And this is the word which is preached to you in the gospel.
If any one speak, let it be as declaring the oracles of God: if any one minister, let it be as from the power which God affordeth him: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Deus autem omnis gratiæ, qui vocavit nos in æternam suam gloriam in Christo Iesu, modicum passos ipse perficiet, confirmabit, solidabitque. (aiōnios )
But may the God of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a little while, make you perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. (aiōnios )
Ipsi gloria, et imperium in sæcula sæculorum: Amen. (aiōn )
To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Sic enim abundanter ministrabitur vobis introitus in æternum regnum Domini nostri, et Salvatoris Iesu Christi. (aiōnios )
For so an entrance shall be administered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgement; and if He spared not the old world, (Tartaroō )
Crescite vero in gratia, et in cognitione Domini nostri, et Salvatoris Iesu Christi. Ipsi gloria et nunc, et in diem æternitatis. Amen. (aiōn )
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: to Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
(for this Life was manifested, and we saw it; and we testify and declare unto you that eternal Life, which was with the Father, (aiōnios )
And the world passeth away, and the desire of it: but he, that doth the will of God, abideth for ever.
And this is the promise which He hath promised us, even eternal life.
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
And the testimony is this, that God hath given to us eternal life; and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios )
Hæc scribo vobis: ut sciatis quoniam vitam habetis æternam, qui creditis in nomine Filii Dei. (aiōnios )
These things have I written to you, who believe on the name of the son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may the more firmly believe on the name of the Son of God.
But we know that the son of God is come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, and in his son Jesus Christ: He is the true God, and eternal life. (aiōnios )
propter veritatem, quæ permanet in nobis, et nobiscum erit in æternum. (aiōn )
for the sake of the truth which dwelleth in us, and will be with us for ever: (aiōn )
and the angels that kept not their primitive state, but left their proper abode, hath He reserved in everlasting chains, under darkness, to the judgement of the great day: (aïdios )
as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them, in like manner with them committing lewdness, and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of perpetual fire. (aiōnios )
fluctus feri maris, despumantes suas confusiones, sidera errantia: quibus procella tenebrarum servata est in æternum. (aiōn )
wandering stars, for whom blackness of darkness is reserved for ever. (aiōn )
vosmetipsos in dilectione Dei servate, expectantes misericordiam Domini nostri Iesu Christi in vitam æternam. (aiōnios )
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Amen. (aiōn )
to the only wise God our Saviour be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen. (aiōn )
et fecit nos regnum, et sacerdotes Deo et Patri suo: ipsi gloria, et imperium in sæcula sæculorum: Amen. (aiōn )
and hath made us kings and priests to his God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
et vivus, et fui mortuus, et ecce sum vivens in sæcula sæculorum, et habeo claves mortis, et inferni. (aiōn , Hadēs )
I am the first and the last, who live, though I was dead; and behold, I am alive for ever and ever, Amen, and have the keys of hades and of death.
And when the animals give glory and honor and thanks to Him that sitteth on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, (aiōn )
procidebant vigintiquattuor seniores ante sedentem in throno, et adorabant viventem in sæcula sæculorum, et mittebant coronas suas ante thronum, dicentes: (aiōn )
the four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sitteth on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever, (aiōn )
And I heard every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that are in them, saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb, for ever and ever. (aiōn )

And I saw, and behold a pale horse, and the name of him that sat upon it was Death, and Hades followed him: and power was given them to slay a fourth part of the earth, by sword, and by famine, and by pestilence, and by wild beasts. (Hadēs )
dicentes: Amen. Benedictio, et claritas, et sapientia, et gratiarum actio, honor, et virtus, et fortitudo Deo nostro in sæcula sæculorum, Amen. (aiōn )
Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and strength be ascribed to our God for ever and ever. Amen.
(Abyssos )
And the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven to the earth: and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him. (Abyssos )
And he opened the bottomless pit: and there came up smoke out of the pit as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos )
et habebant super se regem Angelum abyssi, cui nomen Hebraice Abaddon, Græce autem Apollyon, Latine habens nomen Exterminans. (Abyssos )
And they had a king over them, the angel of the bottomless pit; whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek tongue Apollyon. (Abyssos )
lifted up his hand to heaven, and sware by Him that liveth for ever, who created the heaven and the things therein, and the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things therein, that there shall be time no longer: (aiōn )
(Abyssos )
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the abyss, will make war against them, and overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos )
And the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of the world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Anointed, and He shall reign for ever and ever.
And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel, to preach to those that dwell upon the earth, to every nation, and tribe, and tongue, (aiōnios )
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth for ever and ever: and they have no rest, day and night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

(Abyssos )
The beast, which thou sawest, was, and is not; but will rise out of the abyss, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth (whose names are not written on the book of life from the foundation of the world) shall wonder, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is to be. (Abyssos )
Et iterum dixerunt: Alleluia. Et fumus eius ascendit in sæcula sæculorum. (aiōn )
(and again they said, Alleluia: ) and her smoke ascendeth for ever and ever.

and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he might deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years be finished: and then he must be loosed for a little time. (Abyssos )

And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
Et dedit mare mortuos, qui in eo erant: et mors, et infernus dederunt mortuos suos, qui in ipsis erant: et iudicatum est de singulis secundum opera ipsorum. (Hadēs )
And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every one according to their works.
And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire.
But the fearful, and faithless, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.
And there shall be no night there: and they have no need of a candle, nor of the light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light; and they shall reign for ever and ever.
