Aionian Verses
Da machten sich alle seine Söhne und Töchter auf, um ihn zu trösten; er aber wollte sich nicht trösten lassen, sondern sprach: Ich höre nicht auf zu trauern, bis ich zu meinem Sohn hinabfahre ins Totenreich! Also beweinte ihn sein Vater. (Sheol h7585)
And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to console him but he refused to be consoled, and said—Surely I will go down unto my son mourning to hades! And his father wept for him. (Sheol h7585)
Er aber sprach: Mein Sohn soll nicht mit euch hinabziehen; denn sein Bruder ist tot, und er ist allein übriggeblieben. Sollte ihm ein Unfall begegnen auf dem Wege, den ihr geht, so würdet ihr meine grauen Haare vor Kummer ins Totenreich hinunterbringen! (Sheol h7585)
And he said, My son shall not go down with you, —For, his brother, is dead and, he alone, is left, and as surely as there befall him any mischief by the way wherein ye go, so surely shall ye bring down my grey hairs with sorrow unto hades. (Sheol h7585)
Nehmt ihr nun diesen auch von mir und es begegnet ihm ein Unfall, so werdet ihr meine grauen Haare durch ein solches Unglück ins Totenreich hinunterbringen! (Sheol h7585)
As surely as ye take, this one also, away from before my face and there befall him any mischief, so surely shall ye bring down my grey hairs, with misfortune to hades. (Sheol h7585)
so würde es geschehen, wenn er sähe, daß der Knabe nicht da ist, daß er stürbe; und so würden wir, deine Knechte, die grauen Haare deines Knechtes, unsres Vaters, durch den Kummer ins Totenreich hinunterbringen. (Sheol h7585)
so surely shall it come to pass that when he seeth that the lad is not with us, then will he die. So shall thy servants bring down the grey hairs of thy servant our father, with sorrow to hades. (Sheol h7585)
wird aber der HERR etwas Neues schaffen, daß die Erde ihren Mund auftut und sie verschlingt mit allem, was sie haben, daß sie lebendig hinunterfahren ins Totenreich, so werdet ihr erkennen, daß diese Leute den HERRN gelästert haben! (Sheol h7585)
But, if, a creation, Yahweh create, and the ground open wide her mouth and swallow them up, with all that pertain unto them, and so they go down alive unto hades, then shall ye know, that these men have despised Yahweh. (Sheol h7585)
Und sie fuhren lebendig hinunter ins Totenreich mit allem, was sie hatten. Und die Erde deckte sie zu. Also kamen sie um, mitten aus der Gemeinde. (Sheol h7585)
so, they, and all that pertained unto them, went down, alive unto hades, —and the earth, closed upon them, and they perished out of the midst of the convocation. (Sheol h7585)
Denn ein Feuer ist durch meinen Zorn angezündet, das bis in die unterste Tiefe des Totenreichs hinab brennen und das Land samt seinem Gewächs verzehren und die Grundfesten der Berge in Flammen verwandeln wird. (Sheol h7585)
For, a fire, is kindled in mine anger, And shall burn as far as hades beneath, —And consume the earth with her produce, And set ablaze the foundations of the mountains: (Sheol h7585)
Der HERR tötet und macht lebendig; er stürzt ins Totenreich und führt herauf! (Sheol h7585)
Yahweh, doth kill, and make alive, —Taketh down to hades, and bringeth up: (Sheol h7585)
Stricke der Unterwelt umschlangen mich, Todesschlingen kamen mir entgegen. (Sheol h7585)
the meshes of hades, had surrounded me, —the snares of death had confronted me, (Sheol h7585)
So handle nun nach deiner Weisheit, daß du seine grauen Haare nicht in Frieden ins Totenreich fahren lässest! (Sheol h7585)
Thou, therefore, must do according to thy wisdom, —but will not let his grey hair go down in peace, to hades. (Sheol h7585)
Nun aber laß du ihn nicht ungestraft; denn du bist ein weiser Mann und wirst wohl wissen, was du ihm tun sollst, daß du seine grauen Haare mit Blut ins Totenreich hinunter bringest. (Sheol h7585)
Now, therefore do not hold him guiltless, for, a wise man, thou art, and wilt know how thou oughtest to deal with him, and wilt suffer his grey hairs to go down with blood, to hades. (Sheol h7585)
Wie die Wolke vergeht und verschwindet, so kommt, wer zum Totenreiche fährt, nicht mehr herauf; (Sheol h7585)
A cloud faileth, and is gone, So, he that descendeth to hades, shall not come up: (Sheol h7585)
Sie ist himmelhoch, (was willst du tun? tiefer als der Scheol), was kannst du wissen? (Sheol h7585)
The heights of the heavens, what canst thou do? Depths deeper than hades, what canst thou know? (Sheol h7585)
O daß du mich doch im Scheol verstecktest, daß du mich verbärgest, bis dein Zorn sich wendet; daß du mir eine Frist setztest und dann meiner wieder gedächtest! (Sheol h7585)
Oh that, in hades, thou wouldst hide me! that thou wouldst keep me secret, until the turn of thine anger, that thou wouldst set for me a fixed time, and remember me: (Sheol h7585)

If I wait for hades as my house, in darkness, have spread out my couch; (Sheol h7585)

Wie Hitze und Sonnenglut die Schneewasser wegraffen, so das Totenreich die, welche sündigen. (Sheol h7585)
Drought and heat, steal away snow water, Hades, them who have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
Das Totenreich ist enthüllt vor Ihm, und der Abgrund hat keine Decke. (Sheol h7585)
Naked is hades before him, and there is no covering to destruction; (Sheol h7585)

Die Gottlosen müssen ins Totenreich kehren, alle Nationen, die Gottes vergessen. (Sheol h7585)
The lawless, shall return, to hades, all nations forgetful of God. (Sheol h7585)

HERR, laß mich nicht zuschanden werden, denn ich rufe dich an; zuschanden mögen die Gottlosen werden, verstummen im Totenreich! (Sheol h7585)
O Yahweh! let me not be ashamed, For I have called upon thee, Let the lawless be ashamed, Go down in silence to hades! (Sheol h7585)
Herdenweise sinken sie ins Totenreich hinab, der Tod weidet sie, und die Redlichen werden am Morgen über sie herrschen. Ihre Gestalt ist zum Vergehen bestimmt, das Totenreich zu ihrer Wohnung. (Sheol h7585)
Like sheep—into hades, are they driven, Death shall shepherd them, —And the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning, Even their form, is to decay, Hades, is all that remaineth of a habitation for him. (Sheol h7585)

But he knoweth not, that the shades are there; In the depths of hades, are her guests. (Sheol h7585)
Totenreich und Abgrund sind dem HERRN bekannt; wie viel mehr die Herzen der Menschen! (Sheol h7585)
Hades and destruction, are before Yahweh, how much more then, the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
Der Weg des Lebens geht aufwärts für den Klugen, um den Scheol zu vermeiden, welcher drunten liegt. (Sheol h7585)
The way of life, is upwards to the prudent, that he may depart from hades beneath. (Sheol h7585)
Indem du ihn mit der Rute schlägst, rettest du seine Seele vom Tode. (Sheol h7585)
Thou, with the rod, shalt smite him, and, his soul from hades, shalt thou deliver. (Sheol h7585)
Totenreich und Abgrund kriegen nie genug; so sind auch die Augen der Menschen unersättlich. (Sheol h7585)
Hades and destruction, are not satisfied, and, the eyes of a man, are not satisfied. (Sheol h7585)

Hades, and barrenness, —A land not satisfied with water, and fire, that saith not, Enough! (Sheol h7585)
Alles, was deine Hand zu tun vorfindet, das tue mit deiner ganzen Kraft; denn im Totenreich, dahin du gehst, ist kein Wirken mehr und kein Planen, keine Wissenschaft und keine Weisheit! (Sheol h7585)
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, with thy might, do, —for there is no work nor calculation nor knowledge nor wisdom, in hades, whither, thou, art going. (Sheol h7585)
Trage mich wie einen Siegelstein auf deinem Herzen, wie einen Siegelring an deinem Arm! Denn Liebe ist stark wie der Tod, und Eifersucht hart wie das Totenreich; ihre Glut ist Feuerglut, eine Flamme des HERRN. (Sheol h7585)

Darum verlangt auch das Totenreich große Opfer und hat seinen Rachen über die Maßen weit aufgesperrt, und es fährt hinunter ihr Adel und ihre Menge samt all ihrem Getümmel und wer in ihr frohlockt! (Sheol h7585)

Fordere ein Zeichen von dem HERRN, deinem Gott, in der Tiefe unten oder droben in der Höhe! Da antwortete Ahas: (Sheol h7585)
Ask thee a sign, of Yahweh thy God, —Go down deep for a request, Or ascend on high! (Sheol h7585)
Das Totenreich drunten gerät in Aufregung vor dir in Erwartung deines Kommens; es weckt die Schatten auf deinethalben; alle Fürsten der Erde läßt er von ihren Thronen aufstehen, alle Könige der Heiden. (Sheol h7585)
Hades beneath, is excited about thee To meet thine arrival, —Rousing up, for thee Shades, All the he-goats of earth! Maketh rise from their thrones, All the kings of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
Deine Pracht und das Rauschen deiner Harfen ist auch ins Totenreich gefahren; Maden werden dein Lager und Würmer deine Decke sein! (Sheol h7585)
Brought down to Hades, thy pride. The hum of thy harps, Beneath thee, is spread out corruption, And, thy coverlet—worms! (Sheol h7585)

Because ye have said—We have solemnised a covenant with death, And with hades, have we effected a vision, —The overflowing scourge when it sweepeth by, shall not reach unto us, For we have made lying our refuge. And in falsehood, have we hid ourselves, (Sheol h7585)
daß euer Bund mit dem Tode abgetan werde und euer Vertrag mit dem Totenreich nicht bestehe. Wenn die überschwemmende Flut daherfährt, so wird sie über euch weggehen, (Sheol h7585)
So shall be wiped out your covenant with death, And your vision with hades, not stand, —When the overflowing scourge, sweepeth past, then shall ye be thereby beaten down: (Sheol h7585)
Ich sprach: In meinen besten Jahren muß ich zu den Toren des Totenreichs eingehen! Mit dem Verluste des Restes meiner Jahre werde ich bestraft. (Sheol h7585)

And hast gone to the king with oil, And hast multiplied thy perfumes, —And hast sent thy messengers afar, And…lowered thyself as far as hades! (Sheol h7585)

Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, In the day when he descended into hades, I caused a mourning. I covered over him the roaring deep, And restrained the currents thereof And stayed were the mighty waters, So caused I gloom over him unto Lebanon, And all the trees of the field for him were covered with a shroud. Von dem Getöse seines Falles machte ich die Heiden erbeben, da ich ihn ins Totenreich hinabstieß mit denen, welche in die Grube hinabfahren. Und es trösteten sich in den Tiefen der Erde alle Bäume Edens, samt allen auserlesenen und besten Bäumen Libanons, alle, die vom Wasser getränkt worden waren. (Sheol h7585)
At the sound of his fall, I made nations tremble, When I caused him to descend into hades, with them who descend into the pit, — Then were grieved in the earth below-All the trees of Eden, The choicest and best of Lebanon All who had drunk the waters. (Sheol h7585)
Auch sie fuhren mit ihm ins Totenreich hinab zu denen, welche durchs Schwert umgekommen sind und als seine Setzlinge unter seinem Schatten gewohnt haben inmitten der Heiden. (Sheol h7585)
Even they, with him descended into hades. Among them who were thrust through with the sword, - Even his seed who dwelt in his shade in the midst of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
Es werden die Starken unter den Helden aus der Mitte der Unterwelt von ihm und seinen Helfern sagen: «Sie sind hinabgefahren, sie liegen da, die Unbeschnittenen, die vom Schwerte durchbohrt sind!» (Sheol h7585)
The chiefs of the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hades, with his helpers, - They have descended They have lain down. The uncircumcised! Thrust through by the sword. (Sheol h7585)
Und sie liegen nicht bei den Helden, welche unter den Unbeschnittenen gefallen sind, die mit ihren Kriegswaffen in die Unterwelt hinabfuhren, denen man ihre Schwerter unter ihre Häupter legte; sondern ihre Missetat ist auf ihrem Gebein, weil sie ein Schrecken der Helden waren im Lande der Lebendigen. Therefore shall they not lie with the mighty men The fallen ones from age-past times, Who descended into hades with their weapons of war And their swords were placed under their heads. But their iniquities have come upon their bones Because of the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)
Ich will sie erlösen aus der Gewalt des Totenreichs, vom Tode will ich sie loskaufen. Tod, wo ist dein Verderben? Totenreich, wo ist dein Sieg? Mitleid muß verschwinden vor mir! (Sheol h7585)
Out of the hand of hades, will I ransom them, out of death, will I redeem them, —Where is thy pestilence, O death? Where thy plague, O hades? Repentance, shall be hid from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)
Wenn sie auch bis ins Totenreich eindrängen, so würde sie doch meine Hand von dannen holen, und wenn sie zum Himmel emporstiegen, so würde ich sie von dort hinunterstoßen. (Sheol h7585)
Though they break through into hades, from thence, shall my hand fetch them, —and, though they ascend the heavens, from thence, will I bring them down; (Sheol h7585)

Und dazu kommt noch der tückische Wein. Der Mann wird übermütig und bleibt nicht ruhig; er wird so begehrlich wie der Scheol und unersättlich wie der Tod, daß er alle Völker zu sich sammeln und alle Nationen an sich ziehen will. (Sheol h7585)
Moreover also, when wine betrayeth, a man, is arrogant, and findeth no rest, —because he hath enlarged, like hades, his desire, yea, he, is like death, and cannot be satisfied, —but hath gathered unto himself, all the nations, and assembled unto himself, all the peoples. (Sheol h7585)
Ich aber sage euch: Jeder, der seinem Bruder zürnt, wird dem Gericht verfallen sein. Wer aber zu seinem Bruder sagt: Raka! der wird dem Hohen Rat verfallen sein. Wer aber sagt: Du Narr! der wird dem höllischen Feuer verfallen sein. (Geenna g1067)
But, I, say unto you, that, every one who is angry with his brother, shall be, liable, to judgment, —and, whosoever shall say to his brother, Worthless one!, shall be, liable, to the high council; and, whosoever shall say, Rebel!, shall be, liable, unto the fiery gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
Wenn dir aber dein rechtes Auge ein Anstoß zur Sünde wird, so reiß es aus und wirf es von dir. Denn es ist besser für dich, daß eins deiner Glieder verloren gehe, als daß dein ganzer Leib in die Hölle geworfen werde. (Geenna g1067)
And, if, thy right eye, is causing thee to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from thee, —for it profiteth thee, that, one of thy members, should perish, and not, thy whole body, be cast into gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
Und wenn deine rechte Hand für dich ein Anstoß zur Sünde wird, so haue sie ab und wirf sie von dir. Denn es ist besser für dich, daß eins deiner Glieder verloren gehe, als daß dein ganzer Leib in die Hölle geworfen werde. (Geenna g1067)
And, if, thy right hand, is causing thee to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from thee, —for it profiteth thee, that, one of thy members, should perish, and not, thy whole body, into gehenna, depart. (Geenna g1067)
Und fürchtet euch nicht vor denen, die den Leib töten, die Seele aber nicht zu töten vermögen, fürchtet vielmehr den, welcher Seele und Leib verderben kann in der Hölle. (Geenna g1067)
And be not in fear, by reason of them that are killing the body, —and, the soul, are not able to kill. But fear, rather, him who is able, both soul and body, to destroy in gehenna! (Geenna g1067)
Und du, Kapernaum, die du bis zum Himmel erhoben bist, du wirst bis zur Hölle hinabgeworfen werden. Denn wenn zu Sodom die Taten geschehen wären, die bei dir geschehen sind, es stünde noch heutzutage! (Hadēs g86)
And, thou, Capernaum! Unto heaven, shalt thou be uplifted? Unto hades, thou shall be brought down; because, if, in Sodom, had been done the works of power, which were done in thee, it would, in that case, have remained until this day. (Hadēs g86)
Und wer ein Wort redet wider des Menschen Sohn, dem wird vergeben werden; wer aber wider den heiligen Geist redet, dem wird nicht vergeben werden, weder in dieser Weltzeit noch in der zukünftigen. (aiōn g165)
And, whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him, —but, whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or the coming. (aiōn g165)
Unter die Dornen gesät aber ist es bei dem, welcher das Wort hört; aber die Sorge um das Zeitliche und der Betrug des Reichtums ersticken das Wort, und es bleibt ohne Frucht. (aiōn g165)
And, he among the thorns sown, the same, is he that, heareth the word, —and, the anxiety of the age and the deceit of riches, choke up the word, and, unfruitful, it becometh. (aiōn g165)
Der Feind, der es sät, ist der Teufel; die Ernte ist das Ende der Weltzeit, die Schnitter sind die Engel. (aiōn g165)
And, the enemy that sowed them, is the adversary, and, the harvest, is, the conclusion of an age, and, the reapers, are, messengers. (aiōn g165)
Gleichwie man nun das Unkraut sammelt und mit Feuer verbrennt, so wird es sein am Ende der Weltzeit. (aiōn g165)
Just, therefore, as collected is the darnel, and, with fire is burned, so, will it be in the conclusion of the age: — (aiōn g165)
So wird es am Ende der Weltzeit sein: Die Engel werden ausgehen und die Bösen von den Gerechten scheiden (aiōn g165)
