Lukas 10
1 Darnach aber bezeichnete der Herr noch siebzig andere und sandte sie je zwei und zwei vor sich her in alle Städte und Orte, wohin er selbst kommen wollte.
And, after these things, the Lord appointed seventy two others, and sent them forth, two and two before his face, into every city and place whither, he himself, was about to come.
2 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Die Ernte ist groß, aber der Arbeiter sind wenige. Darum bittet den Herrn der Ernte, daß er Arbeiter in seine Ernte sende!
And he was saying unto them—The harvest, indeed, is, great, but, the labourers, few; beg ye, therefore, of the Lord of the harvest, that he would thrust forth, labourers, into his harvest.
3 Gehet hin! Siehe, ich sende euch wie Lämmer mitten unter die Wölfe.
Withdraw! Lo! I send you forth as lambs amid wolves.
4 Traget weder Beutel noch Tasche noch Schuhe und grüßet niemand auf dem Wege.
Be not carrying purse, or satchel, or sandals, and, no one along the road, salute ye;
5 Wo ihr aber in ein Haus hineingehet, da sprechet zuerst: Friede diesem Hause!
And, into whatsoever house ye enter, First, say, Peace to this house!
6 Und wenn dort ein Kind des Friedens ist, so wird euer Friede auf ihm ruhen, wenn aber nicht, so wird er zu euch zurückkehren.
And, if the son of peace be, there, your peace, shall rest upon it; but, otherwise, at least, unto you, shall it return.
7 In demselben Hause aber bleibet und esset und trinket, was sie haben; denn der Arbeiter ist seines Lohnes wert. Gehet nicht aus einem Haus ins andere.
And, in the self-same house, abide ye, eating and drinking such things as they have; for, worthy, is the labourer, of his hire: be not removing from house to house.
8 Und wo ihr in eine Stadt kommt, und sie euch aufnehmen, da esset, was euch vorgesetzt wird;
And, into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they bid you welcome, be eating such things as are set before you;
9 und heilet die Kranken, die daselbst sind, und saget zu ihnen: Das Reich Gottes ist nahe zu euch gekommen!
And be curing the sick that are, therein, and be saying unto them—The kingdom of God hath drawn nigh upon you.
10 Wo ihr aber in eine Stadt kommt und sie euch nicht aufnehmen, da gehet auf ihre Gassen hinaus und sprechet:
But, into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they do not welcome you, going forth into the broadways thereof, say ye:
11 Auch den Staub, der sich von eurer Stadt an unsre Füße gehängt hat, wischen wir ab wider euch; doch sollt ihr wissen, daß das Reich Gottes nahe herbeigekommen ist!
Even the dust that cleaveth unto us, out of your city, unto our feet, do we wipe off against you; nevertheless, of this, be taking notice—The kingdom of God hath drawn near.
12 Ich sage euch, es wird Sodom an jenem Tage erträglicher gehen als dieser Stadt.
I tell you, for them of Sodom, in that day, more tolerable, will it be, than for that city.
13 Wehe dir, Chorazin! Wehe dir, Bethsaida! Denn wenn zu Tyrus und Zidon die Taten geschehen wären, die bei euch geschehen sind, so hätten sie vorlängst im Sack und in der Asche sitzend Buße getan.
Alas for thee, Chorazin! Alas for thee, Bethsaida! Because, if, in Tyre and Zidon, had been done the works of power which have been down in you, of old, in sackcloth and ashes sitting, they would have repented.
14 Doch es wird Tyrus und Zidon erträglicher gehen im Gerichte als euch.
Moreover, for Tyre and Zidon, more tolerable, will it be, in the judgment, than, for you.
15 Und du, Kapernaum, die du bis zum Himmel erhoben worden, du wirst bis zur Hölle hinabgeworfen werden! (Hadēs g86)
And, thou, Capernaum, —Unto heaven, shalt thou be uplifted? …Unto hades, thou shalt be brought down! (Hadēs g86)
16 Wer euch hört, der hört mich, und wer euch verwirft, der verwirft mich; wer aber mich verwirft, der verwirft den, der mich gesandt hat.
He that hearkeneth unto you, unto me, doth hearken, and, he that setteth you aside, doth set, me, aside; and, he that setteth, me, aside, doth set aside, him that sent me.
17 Die Siebzig aber kehrten mit Freuden zurück und sprachen: Herr, auch die Dämonen sind uns untertan in deinem Namen!
And the seventy [-two] returned, with joy, saying—Lord! even the demons, submit themselves unto us, in thy name!
18 Da sprach er zu ihnen: Ich sah den Satan wie einen Blitz vom Himmel fallen.
And he said unto them—I was beholding Satan, when, like lightning, out of heaven, he fell!
19 Siehe, ich habe euch Vollmacht verliehen, auf Schlangen und Skorpione zu treten, und über alle Gewalt des Feindes; und nichts wird euch beschädigen.
Lo! I have given you the authority—to be treading upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and, nothing, unto you, shall in anywise do harm;
20 Doch nicht darüber freuet euch, daß euch die Geister untertan sind; freuet euch aber, daß eure Namen im Himmel eingeschrieben sind!
Notwithstanding, in this, be not rejoicing—that, the spirits, unto you submit themselves; but be rejoicing—that, your names, are inscribed in the heavens!
21 Zu derselben Stunde frohlockte Jesus im heiligen Geiste und sprach: Ich preise dich, Vater, Herr des Himmels und der Erde, daß du solches den Weisen und Klugen verborgen und es den Unmündigen geoffenbart hast. Ja, Vater, denn so ist es wohlgefällig gewesen vor dir.
In the self-same hour, exulted he in the Holy Spirit, and said—I openly give praise unto thee, Father! Lord of heaven and earth! in that thou hast hid these things from the wise and discerning, and hast revealed them unto babes, —Yea, O Father! that, so, hath it become, a delight, before thee.
22 Alles ist mir von meinem Vater übergeben worden; und niemand weiß, wer der Sohn ist, als nur der Vater; und wer der Vater ist, [weiß niemand] als nur der Sohn und wem der Sohn es offenbaren will.
All things, unto me, have been delivered up by my Father; and, no one, knoweth, who the Son is, save the Father, —and who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son may be minded to reveal him.
23 Und er wandte sich zu seinen Jüngern besonders und sprach: Selig sind die Augen, die sehen, was ihr sehet!
And, turning unto his disciples, privately, he said—Happy, the eyes, that see what ye see!
24 Denn ich sage euch, viele Propheten und Könige wünschten zu sehen, was ihr sehet, und haben es nicht gesehen, und zu hören, was ihr hört, und haben es nicht gehört.
For I tell you, Many prophets and kings, have desired to see what, ye, see, and they saw not, and to hear what ye hear, and they heard not.
25 Und siehe, ein Schriftgelehrter trat auf, versuchte ihn und sprach: Meister, was muß ich tun, um das ewige Leben zu ererben? (aiōnios g166)
And lo! a certain lawyer, arose, putting him to the test, saying—Teacher! by doing what, shall I inherit, life age-abiding? (aiōnios g166)
26 Er aber sprach zu ihm: Was steht im Gesetze geschrieben? Wie liesest du?
And, he, said unto him—In the law, what is written? how dost thou read?
27 Er antwortete und sprach: «Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, lieben von ganzem Herzen und mit deiner ganzen Seele und mit deinem ganzen Vermögen und mit deinem ganzen Gemüte, und deinen Nächsten wie dich selbst!»
And, he, answering, said—Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, out of all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might, and with all thine intention; and thy neighbour, as thyself?
28 Er sprach zu ihm: Du hast recht geantwortet; tue das, so wirst du leben!
And he said unto him—Rightly, hast thou answered: This, do, and thou shalt live.
29 Er aber wollte sich selbst rechtfertigen und sprach zu Jesus: Und wer ist mein Nächster?
But, he, wishing to justify himself, said unto Jesus—And, who is, my, neighbour?
30 Da erwiderte Jesus und sprach: Es ging ein Mensch von Jerusalem nach Jericho hinab und fiel unter die Räuber; die zogen ihn aus und schlugen ihn und liefen davon und ließen ihn halbtot liegen.
And taking up [the question], Jesus said—A certain man, was going down from Jerusalem unto Jericho, and, with robbers, fell in, —who, stripping him, and inflicting, wounds, upon him, departed, leaving him, half dead.
31 Es traf sich aber, daß ein Priester dieselbe Straße hinabzog; und als er ihn sah, ging er auf der andern Seite vorüber.
And, by chance, a certain priest, was coming down by that road, and, seeing him, passed by, on the opposite side.
32 Desgleichen auch ein Levit, der zu der Stelle kam und ihn sah, ging auf der andern Seite vorüber.
And, in like manner, a Levite also, coming down to the place, and seeing him, passed by, on the opposite side.
33 Ein Samariter aber kam auf seiner Reise dahin, und als er ihn sah, hatte er Erbarmen
But, a certain Samaritan, going on his journey, came down to him, and, seeing him, was moved with compassion;
34 und ging zu ihm hin, verband ihm die Wunden und goß Öl und Wein darauf, hob ihn auf sein eigenes Tier, führte ihn in eine Herberge und pflegte ihn.
and, coming near, bound up his bruises, pouring thereon oil and wine, —and, setting him on his own beast, brought him into an inn, and took care of him.
35 Und am andern Tage gab er dem Wirt zwei Denare und sprach: Verpflege ihn! Und was du mehr aufwendest, will ich dir bezahlen, wenn ich wiederkomme.
And, on the morrow, throwing out two denaries, he gave them to the inn-keeper, and said—Take care of him, and, whatsoever thou shall further spend, I, when on my way back, will duly pay thee.
36 Welcher von diesen Dreien dünkt dich nun der Nächste gewesen zu sein dem, der unter die Räuber gefallen war?
Which of these three, seemeth unto thee to have become, neighbour, unto him who fell among the robbers?
37 Er sprach: Der, welcher die Barmherzigkeit an ihm tat! Da sprach Jesus zu ihm: So gehe du hin und tue desgleichen!
And, he, said—He who dealt mercifully with him. And Jesus said unto him—Be taking thy journey, and, thou, be doing, in like manner.
38 Als sie aber weiterreisten, kam er in ein Dorf; ein Weib aber namens Martha nahm ihn auf in ihr Haus.
And, as they were journeying, he, entered into a certain village; and, a certain woman, named Martha, welcomed him into her house.
39 Und diese hatte eine Schwester, welche Maria hieß, die setzte sich zu Jesu Füßen und hörte seiner Rede zu.
And, she, had a sister, called Mary, who also, seating herself at the feet of the Lord, was hearing his word.
40 Martha aber machte sich viel zu schaffen mit der Bedienung. Und sie trat herzu und sprach: Herr, kümmerst du dich nicht darum, daß mich meine Schwester allein dienen läßt? Sage ihr doch, daß sie mir helfe!
But, Martha, was distracted about much ministering, and, coming near, said—Lord! carest thou not that, my sister, hath left me to be ministering, alone? Speak to her, then, that she help me.
41 Der Herr aber antwortete und sprach zu ihr: Martha, Martha, du machst dir Sorge und Unruhe um vieles;
But the Lord, answering, said to her—Martha! Martha! thou art anxious and troubled about many things:
42 eins aber ist not. Maria hat das gute Teil erwählt; das soll nicht von ihr genommen werden!
Of few things, is there need, or, of one; Mary, in fact, hath chosen, the good part, —one which shall not be taken away from her.
