Genesis 11
1 And it was all the earth language one and words one.
Na całej ziemi był jeden język i jedna mowa.
2 And it was when set out they from [the] east and they found a plain in [the] land of Shinar and they dwelt there.
A gdy wędrowali od wschodu, znaleźli równinę w ziemi Szinear i tam mieszkali.
3 And they said each to neighbor his give! let us make bricks bricks and let us burn [them] to burning and became for them brick to stone and bitumen became for them to mortar.
I mówili jeden do drugiego: Chodźcie, zróbmy cegły i wypalmy je w ogniu; i mieli cegłę zamiast kamienia, a smołę zamiast zaprawy.
4 And they said give! - let us build for ourselves a city and a tower and top its [will be] in the heavens and we may make for ourselves a name lest we should be scattered over [the] surface of all the earth.
Potem powiedzieli: Chodźcie, zbudujmy sobie miasto i wieżę, której szczyt [sięgałby] do nieba, i uczyńmy sobie imię, abyśmy się nie rozproszyli po powierzchni całej ziemi.
5 And he came down Yahweh to see the city and the tower which they had built [the] children of humankind.
A PAN zstąpił, aby zobaczyć miasto i wieżę, które synowie ludzcy budowali.
6 And he said Yahweh here! a people one and a language one [belongs] to all of them and this [is] beginning they to do and now not it will be withheld from them all that they will plan to do.
I PAN powiedział: Oto lud jest jeden i wszyscy mają jeden język, a [jest] to dopiero początek ich dzieła. Teraz nic nie powstrzyma ich od wykonania tego, co zamierzają uczynić.
7 Give! let us go down and let us confuse there language their that not they will hear each [the] language of neighbor his.
Zstąpmy więc i pomieszajmy tam ich język, aby jeden nie zrozumiał języka drugiego.
8 And he scattered Yahweh them from there over [the] surface of all the earth and they ceased to build the city.
I tak PAN rozproszył ich stamtąd po całej powierzchni ziemi; i przestali budować miasto.
9 There-fore someone called name its Babel for there he confused Yahweh [the] language of all the earth and from there he scattered them Yahweh over [the] surface of all the earth.
Dlatego nazwano je Babel, bo tam PAN pomieszał język całej ziemi. I stamtąd PAN rozproszył ich po całej powierzchni ziemi.
10 These [are] [the] accounts of Shem Shem [was] a son of one hundred year[s] and he fathered Arphaxad two years after the flood.
To [są] dzieje rodu Sema: Gdy Sem miał sto lat, spłodził Arpachszada, dwa lata po potopie.
11 And he lived Shem after fathered he Arphaxad five hundred year[s] and he fathered sons and daughters.
Po spłodzeniu Arpachszada Sem żył pięćset lat i spłodził synów i córki.
12 And Arphaxad he lived five and thirty year[s] and he fathered Shelah.
Arpachszad żył trzydzieści pięć lat i spłodził Szelacha.
13 And he lived Arphaxad after fathered he Shelah three years and four hundred year[s] and he fathered sons and daughters.
Po spłodzeniu Szelacha Arpachszad żył czterysta trzy lata i spłodził synów i córki.
14 And Shelah he lived thirty year[s] and he fathered Eber.
Szelach żył trzydzieści lat i spłodził Ebera.
15 And he lived Shelah after fathered he Eber three years and four hundred year[s] and he fathered sons and daughters.
Po spłodzeniu Ebera Szelach żył czterysta trzy lata i spłodził synów i córki.
16 And he lived Eber four and thirty year[s] and he fathered Peleg.
Eber żył trzydzieści cztery lata i spłodził Pelega.
17 And he lived Eber after fathered he Peleg thirty year[s] and four hundred year[s] and he fathered sons and daughters.
Po spłodzeniu Pelega Eber żył czterysta trzydzieści lat i spłodził synów i córki.
18 And he lived Peleg thirty year[s] and he fathered Reu.
Peleg żył trzydzieści lat i spłodził Reu.
19 And he lived Peleg after fathered he Reu nine years and two hundred year[s] and he fathered sons and daughters.
Po spłodzeniu Reu Peleg żył dwieście dziewięć lat i spłodził synów i córki.
20 And he lived Reu two and thirty year[s] and he fathered Serug.
Reu żył trzydzieści dwa lata i spłodził Seruga.
21 And he lived Reu after fathered he Serug seven years and two hundred year[s] and he fathered sons and daughters.
Po spłodzeniu Seruga Reu żył dwieście siedem lat i spłodził synów i córki.
22 And he lived Serug thirty year[s] and he fathered Nahor.
Serug żył trzydzieści lat i spłodził Nachora.
23 And he lived Serug after fathered he Nahor two hundred year[s] and he fathered sons and daughters.
Po spłodzeniu Nachora Serug żył dwieście lat i spłodził synów i córki.
24 And he lived Nahor nine and twenty year[s] and he fathered Terah.
Nachor żył dwadzieścia dziewięć lat i spłodził Teracha.
25 And he lived Nahor after fathered he Terah nine-teen year[s] and one hundred year[s] and he fathered sons and daughters.
Po spłodzeniu Teracha Nachor żył sto dziewiętnaście lat i spłodził synów i córki.
26 And he lived Terah seventy year[s] and he fathered Abram Nahor and Haran.
Terach żył siedemdziesiąt lat i spłodził Abrama, Nachora i Harana.
27 And these [are] [the] accounts of Terah Terah he fathered Abram Nahor and Haran and Haran he fathered Lot.
A to są rody Teracha: Terach spłodził Abrama, Nachora i Harana. Haran zaś spłodził Lota.
28 And he died Haran on [the] face of Terah father his in [the] land of kindred his in Ur of [the] Chaldeans.
I Haran umarł za życia swego ojca Teracha w ziemi swego urodzenia, w Ur chaldejskim.
29 And he took Abram and Nahor for themselves wives [the] name of [the] wife of Abram [was] Sarai and [the] name of [the] wife of Nahor [was] Milcah [the] daughter of Haran [the] father of Milcah and [the] father of Iscah.
I Abram, i Nachor pojęli sobie żony: imię żony Abrama [było] Saraj, a imię żony Nachora – Milka. Była ona córką Harana, ojca Milki i Jeski.
30 And she was Sarai barren not [belonged] to her a child.
A Saraj była niepłodna, nie miała dzieci.
31 And he took Terah Abram son his and Lot [the] son of Haran [the] son of son his and Sarai daughter-in-law his [the] wife of Abram son his and they went out with them from Ur of [the] Chaldeans to go [the] land of towards Canaan and they came to Haran and they dwelt there.
I Terach wziął swego syna Abrama i swego wnuka Lota, syna Harana, i swoją synową Saraj, żonę swego syna Abrama; i wyruszyli razem z Ur chaldejskiego, aby udać się do ziemi Kanaan. Gdy przybyli do Charanu, zamieszkali tam.
32 And they were [the] days of Terah five years and two hundred year[s] and he died Terah in Haran.
I dni Teracha było dwieście pięć lat, i umarł w Charanie.
