< 1 Corinthians 9 >

1 Am not free? Am I not an apostle? Jesus our Lord, have I not seen? Are not, ye, my work, in the Lord?
Ngah pongwan mina tatam angkang? Ngah kamwah tatam angkang? Seng Teesu Jisu ngah ih tatam tuptang? Nyia ngah Teesu raangtaan ih motang thaang ah sen taba angkan?
2 If, unto others, I am not an apostle, certainly at least, unto you, I am; for, the seal of my apostleship, ye, are in the Lord.
Mih ih ngah kamwah ngeh ih lathiik rangbah uh, sen loong ah ih ngah ejat eh hali! Sen roidong ah Teesu damdi roongroop thoidi, sen teeteewah ih ngah ah kaamwah ih dongjat thuk hali.
3 My defence, unto them who are examining me, is this:
Mabah mina loong ah ih putbeek hang di, ngah ih emah kangaakbaat rum ang:
4 Have we not a right to eat and drink?
Nga mootkaat thaang phak asat tatam jen korang?
5 Have we not a right to take round, a sister wife, —as even the rest of the apostles, and the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
Kaamwah wahoh loong nyia seng Teesu no nyia Pitar reela likhiik, Kristaan minuh ah siit angno ngah tatam jen tumkhoom kang?
6 Or have, only I and Barnabas, not a right to forbear working?
Adoleh sek thingtong suh sek ah Barnabas luulu tam mootkaatjih ah?
7 Who serveth as a soldier, at his own charges, at any time? Who planteth a vineyard, —and, the fruit thereof, doth not eat? [Or] who shepherdeth a flock, —and, of the milk of the flock, doth not eat?
O sipaahi ih heh laajang thaang ah heh teeteewah ih kakoh ah? Heh phek nawa anggut lasatte mootkaatte ah o a? Neng saap nyuupuuthi ah lajokte ah o ah?
8 Is it, after the manner of men, that these things I am saying? Or doth not, even the law, the same things, say?
Arah toobaat hang jengthaak ah ngah ih saarookwet ih toobaat hang, tiimnge liidi Hootthe ni phoosiitsiit ih baat hali.
9 For, in the law of Moses, it is written—Thou shalt not muzzle an ox when it is treading out the corn: —Is it, for the oxen, God is caring?
Moses Hootthe ni seng ih chowet hi, “Raannak thuk tokdoh maanpong ah hetui nak loop theng.” Enoobah, Rangte ih maanpong ah luulu tam samthunha?
10 Or, for our sakes altogether, is he saying it? For our sakes, it was written; because, he that ploweth, ought, to plow, in hope, —and, he that thresheth, [to thresh] in hope of partaking.
Amiisak di erah heh ih seng suh tamli tahe? Elang e ah erah seng raangtaan ih raangha. O ih bah uh haanbeeha nyi chamkhanha rah heh ih nep roongchoh suh mokala.
11 If, we, unto you, the things of the Spirit have sown, is it a great matter, if, we, of you, the things of the flesh shall reap?
Seng ih sen loong dung ni moong achaang raanjih wen hi. Sen jiin nawa hansi raangtaan chohi asuh ehanmi kohi ngeh ih tamli han?
12 If, others, of this right, over you, are partaking, [should] not rather, we? nevertheless, we used not this right; but, all [such] things, do we conceal, —lest we should cause any hindrance unto the glad message of the Christ.
Wahoh botseh sen jiinnawa jen laalomhala, seng ih batang aleh ehan tatam jen laalomke? Enoothong jen lang ih abah uh seng ih emah tareeraang ke. Eranang ebah, Kristo Ruurang Ese lam ah photang ah nge ih jirep adi enaan ehi.
13 Know ye not that, they who labour in the holy rites, do eat the provisions out of the holy place? They who at the altar wait, do, with the altar, share?
Amiisak di sen ih jat et han o mina Rangteenok ni mokala erah loong ah ih phak asak ah Rangteenok nawa choha adoleh o ih romthong ni khojoop siik hoon ha erah loong ah ih khojoop siik hoon phaksat adi roomla.
14 Thus, also, hath the Lord, appointed—that, they who the glad message tell, should, of the glad-message, live.
Erah likhiikkhiik ih, Ruurang Ese tiit baatte loong asuh ething tong raangtaan ih erah mootkaat dowa chotheng ngeh ih Teesu ih baat ha.
15 I, however, have not used any of these things; and have not written these things, in order that, so it should be done, in my case; for it were, good for me, rather to die than——my boast, shall, no man, make void!
Enoothong chojih ang abah uh ngah ih maang taat jamkang, adoleh amadi arah raanghang ah nga teewah raangtaan ih jensuk suh taraang kang. Erah nang ebah jaakhoh ngaba ti ang! O ih bah uh thaangmuh jengkhaap doh nga jen mokalang ah tami leksiitka!
16 For, if I be telling the glad-message, it is, with me, no matter of boasting; for, necessity, upon me, lieth, —for it is, Woe to me, if I should not be telling the glad-message;
Ruurang ese baat thoidoh ngah uh tajen khuupook kang. Ngabah tang aleh, emah mootkaat ah matkap. Eno ruurang ese tiit ah labaattang bah tiimthan echo etheng angta!
17 For, if, by choice, this thing I am doing, I have, a reward; but, if not by choice, with a stewardship, have I been entrusted!
Nga thungthung ih mok mokatang bah, hethaang echoh eh ang ngeh ih tuumaang thengtang; enoothong nga mootkaat ngeh ih mokatang, tiimnge liidi Rangte ih erah mootkaat ah ngasuh baat tahang.
18 What, then, is my reward? that, in telling the glad-message, free of cost, I should put the glad-message, —to the end I should not use to the full my right in the glad-message.
Emah ang abah, ngah ih tiimthaang choh angleh? Ruurang Ese tiit thaangmuh ih baat hi ah, adoleh ruurang ese raang ih nga mookkaatjih ngeh ih laliiko aju saapootse.
19 For, though free from all, unto all, myself, I enslaved, —that, the larger number, I might win:
Ngah nga pongpongwan mina, o dah tah angkang; enoothong mathan jen ang ah erah than mina jensuh, ngah warep dah ih hoon lang.
20 Therefore became I, to the Jews, as, a Jew, —that, Jews, I might win; to them who were under law, as, under law, not being, myself, under law, —that, them who were under law, I might win;
Jehudi loong ah jen suh li angno ngah neng likhiikkhiik ih roong tongtha tang, eno ngah Moses Hootthe lathong ni lah ang kangbah uh, Moses Hootthe lathong ni songtongla loong ah jen suh neng likhiik ih roong tongtha tang.
21 To them who were without law, as, without law, —not being without law to God, but lawfully subject to Christ, —that I might win them who were without law.
Ranglajatte loong damdoh mokatang adoh uh, emamah ju roong tongtha tang, Jehudi Hootthe lathong ni lah angthang ih ah, erah Ranglajatte loong jen suh reetang. Erah raang ih Rangte Hootthe ngah ih lakap tah angka; amiisak di ngah Kristo hootthe lathong ni tonglang.
22 I became, unto the weak, weak, —that, the weak, I might win; —to all men, have I become all things, that, by all means, some, I might save.
O mina laalom di larook lata angta, neng loong ah jen suh li angno, ngah uh neng likhiik ih larook lata ih hoontang. Mamah ih adoh se ah li angno, marah marah mina ah taan puipang suh li angno ngah emamah ih reeraang tang.
23 But, all things, am I doing, for the sake of the glad-message, that a joint-partaker thereof, I may become.
Arah loong ah ruurang ese tung thoidi reelang, romseetam ah loongtang ih chosuh ah.
24 Know ye not that, they who, in a racecourse, run, all, indeed, run, —but, one, receiveth the prize? So, be running, that ye may lay hold.
Amiisak tiit ah sen loong ih jat ehan, tootmui soonte loong ah hantek toosoonla enoothong hethaang ah wasiit ih ba choh ah. Erah raangtaan ih, sen uh toosoon an hethaang ah chosuh ah.
25 But, every man who striveth in the games, in all things, useth self-control; —they, indeed, then, that a corruptible crown, they may receive; but, we, an incorruptible!
Tootmuijapte loong ah ih hethaang chosuh ejap banlam ah naririh nyoot ha marah roitang raang ih lah angka raang ih ah, enoothong seng loong jaasiit mokali ah roitang raang ih ang ah.
26 I, therefore, so, am running, as, not uncertainly, so, am boxing, as not thrashing air;
Erah raangtaan ih ngah soon tangno echoh lam adi pitlang; laktom ih thutmuite ih jaahu ni lathuka rah likhiik ah.
27 But am beating my body under, and leading it captive, lest, by any means, —unto others, having proclaimed, [the contest], I myself, should be rejected.
Ngah ih ngaasak ngaasi ah nga jeng chaatchaat dah eh hoonthuk lang, tiimnge liidi ruurang ese ah wahoh suh baat lidoh hethaang lachoh naktoom ang ang suh ah.
