Psalms 131

1 “A psalm of the steps, or the goings up. Of David.” O LORD! my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty; I employ not myself on great things, or things too wonderful for me!

Wimbo wa kwenda juu. Wa Daudi. Moyo wangu hauna kiburi, Ee Bwana, macho yangu hayajivuni; sijishughulishi na mambo makuu kunizidi wala mambo ya ajabu mno kwangu.

2 Yea, I have stilled and quieted my soul As a weaned child upon his mother; My soul within me is like a weaned child.

Lakini nimetuliza na kunyamazisha nafsi yangu; kama mtoto aliyeachishwa kunyonya na mama yake, kama mtoto aliyeachishwa kunyonya ndivyo ilivyo nafsi iliyoko ndani yangu.

3 O Israel! trust in the LORD, Henceforth even for ever!

Ee Israeli, mtumaini Bwana tangu sasa na hata milele.
