Psalms 132
1 “A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” O LORD! remember David, And all his affliction!
Wimbo wa kwenda juu. Ee Bwana, mkumbuke Daudi na taabu zote alizozistahimili.
2 How he sware to Jehovah, And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
Aliapa kiapo kwa Bwana na akaweka nadhiri kwa Yule Mwenye Nguvu wa Yakobo:
3 “I will not go into my house, Nor lie down on my bed,
“Sitaingia nyumbani mwangu au kwenda kitandani mwangu:
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, Nor slumber to my eyelids,
sitaruhusu usingizi katika macho yangu, wala kope zangu kusinzia,
5 Until I find a place for Jehovah, A habitation for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
mpaka nitakapompatia Bwana mahali, makao kwa ajili ya Yule Mwenye Nguvu wa Yakobo.”
6 Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah; We found it in the fields of the forest.
Tulisikia habari hii huko Efrathi, tulikutana nayo katika mashamba ya Yaara:
7 Let us go into his habitation; Let us worship at his footstool!
“Twendeni kwenye makao yake, na tuabudu kwenye kiti cha kuwekea miguu yake;
8 Arise, O LORD! into thy rest, Thou, and the ark of thy strength!
inuka, Ee Bwana, uje mahali pako pa kupumzikia, wewe na Sanduku la nguvu zako.
9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, And thy holy ones shout for joy!
Makuhani wako na wavikwe haki, watakatifu wako na waimbe kwa furaha.”
10 For the sake of thy servant David, Reject not the prayer of thine anointed!
Kwa ajili ya Daudi mtumishi wako, usimkatae mpakwa mafuta wako.
11 Jehovah hath sworn in truth unto David, And he will not depart from it: “Of the fruit of thy body will I place upon the throne for thee.
Bwana alimwapia Daudi kiapo, kiapo cha uhakika ambacho hatakitangua: “Nitamweka mmoja wa wazao wako mwenyewe katika kiti chako cha enzi,
12 If thy children keep my covenant, And my statutes, which I teach them, Their children also throughout all ages Shall sit upon thy throne.”
kama wanao watashika Agano langu na sheria ninazowafundisha, ndipo wana wao watarithi kiti chako cha enzi milele na milele.”
13 For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it as his dwelling-place.
Kwa maana Bwana ameichagua Sayuni, amepaonea shauku pawe maskani yake:
14 “This is my resting-place for ever; Here will I dwell, for I have chosen it.
“Hapa ni mahali pangu pa kupumzika milele na milele; hapa ndipo nitakapoketi nikitawala, kwa sababu nimepaonea shauku:
15 I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.
Nitambariki kwa kumpa mahitaji tele: nitashibisha maskini wake kwa chakula.
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her holy ones shall shout aloud for joy.
Nitawavika makuhani wake wokovu, nao watakatifu wake watadumu wakiimba kwa furaha.
17 There will I cause to spring forth a horn for David; I have prepared a light for mine anointed.
“Hapa nitamchipushia Daudi pembe, na kuweka taa kwa ajili ya masiya wangu.
18 His enemies will I clothe with shame, And the crown shall glitter upon his head.”
Adui zake nitawavika aibu, bali taji kichwani pake itangʼaa sana.”
