< Psalms 129 >
1 A Song of Ascents. Many times they have afflicted me from my youth up. Let Israel now say:
Sabo-Pionjonañe Beteke nisilofen-draho boak’ami’ty nahajalahy ahiko— ano ty hoe r’Israele—
2 many times they have afflicted me from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.
Beteke niforeforèñe sikal’amy te izaho niajalahy, f’ie tsy nahagioke ahy.
3 The plowers plowed on my back. They made their furrows long.
Nitrabahe’ o mpitrabakeo ty sakamamovoko, nanoe’ iareo lava o vavahalioo.
4 The LORD is righteous. He has cut apart the cords of the wicked.
Vantañe t’Iehovà; navitso’e ty namahora’ o lo-tserekeo ahy.
5 Let them be disappointed and turned backward, all those who hate Zion.
Hampolieñe an-kasalarañe ze malaiñe i Tsiône.
6 Let them be as the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up,
Ie hampanahafeñe ami’ty ahetse an-tafo traño eo, hiheatse aolo’ ty hibeiza’e,
7 with which the reaper does not fill his hand, nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.
toe tsy hahaeneñe ty fità’ i mpanatakey, ndra ty araña’ i mpifehe’ o fehe’eo.
8 Neither do those who go by say, “The blessing of the LORD be on you. We bless you in the LORD’s name.”
Vaho tsy anoe’ o mpandrioñeo ty hoe: Ho ama’ areo ty fañanintsi’ Iehovà! Itatà’ay ami’ty tahina’ Iehovà!
