1 Kuom jatend wer. Wer gi thumbe man-gi Waya. Maskil mar Daudi. Winj lamona, yaye Nyasaye, kik itamri winjo ywakna;
To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
2 Winja kendo idwoka. Pacha chanda kendo chunya onge gi kwe
Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
3 Ka awinjo dwond wasika, kendo ka joma timbegi richo okwarona wengegi, nikech gimiyo abedo gi thagruok kendo giyanya ka gin gi mirima.
Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
4 Chunya winjo malit e iya kendo luoro mar tho osemaka.
My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
5 Aluor kendo denda tetni; kibaji ogoya matek.
Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
6 Ne awacho niya, “Yaye mad ne bed ni an gi bwombe ka akuru! Dine afuyo aa ka mi ayudo yweyo.
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! [for then] would I fly away, and be at rest.
7 Dine aringo adhi mabor mi adhi adak e piny ongoro; (Sela)
Lo, [then] would I wander far off, [and] remain in the wilderness. (Selah)
8 dine areto adhi nyaka kara mar pondo, kuma ni mabor gi apaka kod ahiti.”
I would hasten my escape from the windy storm [and] tempest.
9 Lal pach joma timbegi richo, yaye Ruoth, mi lewgi moki e dandgi, nikech aneno ka mahundu gi dhawo opongʼo dala maduongʼ.
Destroy, O Lord, [and] divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
10 Odiechiengʼ gotieno gilwenyo kor ohinga mare; himruok gi ayany ni e iye.
Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow [are] in the midst of it.
11 Teko mar kethruok chopo tijgi ei dala maduongʼ, mecho gi wuond osiko e yorene.
Wickedness [is] in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
12 Ka dine ok obedo malichna ka dine ngʼat ma ok dwara ema ogarna, to dine apondone.
For [it was] not an enemy [that] reproached me; then I could have borne [it: ] neither [was it] he that hated me [that] did magnify [himself] against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
13 To en mana in, dichwo kaka an in jawuodha kendo osiepna,
But [it was] thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
14 mane wan-go gi lalruok matut chon kane wawuotho e dier oganda maduongʼ e od Nyasaye.
We took sweet counsel together, [and] walked unto the house of God in company.
15 Mad tho neg wasika apoya, mad liel mwonygi ngili kapod gingima, nikech richo olokogi kar dakne. (Sheol h7585)
Let death seize upon them, [and] let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness [is] in their dwellings, [and] among them. (Sheol h7585)
16 An to aluongo Nyasaye, kendo Jehova Nyasaye resa.
As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
17 Odhiambo gi okinyi kod odiechiengʼ aywagora ka chunya lit, kendo owinjo dwonda.
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
18 Owara kapok gimoro ohinya kuom lweny ma ji goyago, kata obedo ni ji mangʼeny kweda.
He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle [that was] against me: for there were many with me.
19 Nyasaye mobet e kom loch nyaka chiengʼ, biro winjogi kendo biro goyogi: (Sela) jogo motamore loko yoregi kendo ma ok mi Nyasaye luor.
God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. (Selah) Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
20 Jawuodha monjo osiepene; oseketho singruok mane otimo kodgi.
He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
21 Weche mowacho to yom ka mo mabuo, to lweny to ni e chunye; wechege yomo del moloyo mor wirruok, to kara gin mana ligangla mosewuodh oko.
[The words] of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war [was] in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet [were] they drawn swords.
22 Ket pek manie chunyi ne Jehova Nyasaye to obiro riti; ok obi weyo ngʼat makare podhi.
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23 To in, yaye Nyasaye, ibiro dwoko joma timbegi richo piny nyaka ei bur ma gitow; joma joricho machwero remo ok bi bet mangima kata moromo nus ndalogi. An to ageno kuomi.
But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
