Svi su ga njegovi sinovi i sve njegove kćeri nastojali utješiti, ali se on ne mogaše utješiti. Govorio je: “Ne, sići ću k svome sinu u Šeol tugujući!” Tako ga je oplakivao njegov otac. (Sheol h7585)
And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down to Sheol to my son mourning. And his father wept for him. (Sheol h7585)
“Moj sin neće s vama!” - uzvrati on. - “Njegov je pravi brat već mrtav, a on je ostao sam. Ako bi ga na putu na koji ćete poći snašla nesreća, u tuzi biste otpravili moju sijedu glavu dolje u Šeol.” (Sheol h7585)
And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left: if harm befall him by the way in which ye go, then will ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Ako i ovoga od mene odvedete pa ga kakva nesreća snađe, moju ćete sijedu glavu s tugom strovaliti dolje u Šeol.' (Sheol h7585)
and if ye take this one also from me, and harm befall him, ye will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
on će svisnuti kad vidi da dječaka nema s nama; tako će tvoje sluge strovaliti u tuzi sijedu glavu tvoga sluge, oca našega, dolje u Šeol. (Sheol h7585)
it will come to pass, when he seeth that the lad is not [with us], that he will die: and thy servants will bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Ali ako Jahve učini nečuveno: ako zemlja rastvori svoje ralje i proguta ih sa svim što je njihovo te živi siđu u Šeol, onda znajte da su ovi ljudi prezreli Jahvu.” (Sheol h7585)
But if Jehovah make a new thing, and the ground open its mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down alive into Sheol; then ye shall understand that these men have despised Jehovah. (Sheol h7585)
Živi siđu u Šeol, oni i sve njihovo. Onda se nad njima zemlja zatvori i oni iščeznu iz zbora. (Sheol h7585)
So they, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into Sheol: and the earth closed upon them, and they perished from among the assembly. (Sheol h7585)

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, And burneth unto the lowest Sheol, And devoureth the earth with its increase, And setteth on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)

The cords of Sheol were round about me; The snares of death came upon me. (Sheol h7585)
Ti postupi po svom razboru i ne daj da mu sijeda kosa mirno počine u Podzemlju. (Sheol h7585)
Do therefore according to thy wisdom, and let not his hoar head go down to Sheol in peace. (Sheol h7585)
Ali mu ti toga ne opraštaj, jer si čovjek razborit, i već ćeš znati kako treba da postupiš te mu sijedu kosu s krvlju u Podzemlje spremiš.” (Sheol h7585)
Now therefore hold him not guiltless, for thou art a wise man; and thou wilt know what thou oughtest to do unto him, and thou shalt bring his hoar head down to Sheol with blood. (Sheol h7585)
Kao što se oblak gubi i raspline, tko u Šeol siđe, više ne izlazi. (Sheol h7585)
As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away, So he that goeth down to Sheol shall come up no more. (Sheol h7585)

It is high as heaven; what canst thou do? Deeper than Sheol; what canst thou know? (Sheol h7585)

Oh that thou wouldest hide me in Sheol, That thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, That thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! (Sheol h7585)
A meni je nada otići u Šeol i prostrijeti sebi ležaj u mrklini. (Sheol h7585)
If I look for Sheol as my house; If I have spread my couch in the darkness; (Sheol h7585)
Hoće li u Šeol ona sa mnom sići da u prahu zajedno otpočinemo?” (Sheol h7585)
It shall go down to the bars of Sheol, When once there is rest in the dust. (Sheol h7585)
Dane svoje završavaju u sreći, u Podzemlje oni silaze spokojno. (Sheol h7585)
They spend their days in prosperity, And in a moment they go down to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
K'o što vrućina i žega snijeg upija, tako i Podzemlje proždire grešnike. (Sheol h7585)
Drought and heat consume the snow waters: [So doth] Sheol [those that] have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
Pred njegovim okom otkriven zja Šeol i bezdan smrti nema vela na sebi. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol is naked before [God], And Abaddon hath no covering. (Sheol h7585)
jer među mrtvima tko te se sjeća, u Podzemlju tko ti hvale pjeva? (Sheol h7585)
For in death there is no remembrance of thee: In Sheol who shall give thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)
JOD Nek' grešnici odu u Podzemlje, svi pogani što zaboraviše Boga. (Sheol h7585)
The wicked shall be turned back unto Sheol, Even all the nations that forget God. (Sheol h7585)
Jer mi nećeš ostavit' dušu u Podzemlju ni dati da pravednik tvoj truleži ugleda. (Sheol h7585)
For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)

O Jehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol; Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Sheol h7585)
Jahve, ne bilo me stid što tebe zazvah! Neka se postide zlotvori, nek' u Podzemlju zamuknu. (Sheol h7585)
Let me not be put to shame, O Jehovah; for I have called upon thee: Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Poput stada redaju se u Podzemlju, smrt im je pastir, a dobri njima vladaju. Njihova će lika brzo nestati, Podzemlje će im biti postojbina. (Sheol h7585)
They are appointed as a flock for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd: And the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; And their beauty shall be for Sheol to consume, That there be no habitation for it. (Sheol h7585)

Let death come suddenly upon them, Let them go down alive into Sheol; For wickedness is in their dwelling, in the midst of them. (Sheol h7585)
jer tvoje ljubavi prema meni ima izobila, istrgao si moju dušu iz dubine Podzemlja. (Sheol h7585)
For great is thy lovingkindness toward me; And thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Jer mi je duša zasićena patnjama, moj se život bliži Podzemlju. (Sheol h7585)
For my soul is full of troubles, And my life draweth nigh unto Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Tko živ smrti vidjeti neće? Tko će od ruke Podzemlja dušu sačuvati? (Sheol h7585)
What man is he that shall live and not see death, That shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Užeta smrti sapeše me, stegoše me zamke Podzemlja, snašla me muka i tjeskoba. (Sheol h7585)
The cords of death compassed me, And the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
Ako se na nebo popnem, ondje si, ako u Podzemlje legnem, i ondje si. (Sheol h7585)
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there. (Sheol h7585)

As when one ploweth and cleaveth the earth, Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

Let us swallow them up alive as Sheol, And whole, as those that go down into the pit; (Sheol h7585)

But he knoweth not that the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
I Šeol i Abadon stoje pred Jahvom, a nekmoli srca sinova ljudskih. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol and Abaddon are before Jehovah; How much more then the hearts of the children of men! (Sheol h7585)
Razumnu čovjeku put života ide gore, da izmakne carstvu smrti koje je dolje. (Sheol h7585)
To the wise the way of life [goeth] upward, That he may depart from Sheol beneath. (Sheol h7585)
biješ ga šibom, ali mu dušu iz Podzemlja izbavljaš. (Sheol h7585)
Thou shalt beat him with the rod, And shalt deliver his soul from Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Carstvo Smrti i Propast ne mogu se zasititi, tako ni oči čovječje. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied; And the eyes of man are never satisfied. (Sheol h7585)
Carstvo smrti, jalova utroba, zemlja nikad gasna vode i vatra koja nikad ne kaže: “Dosta!” (Sheol h7585)
Sheol; and the barren womb; The earth that is not satisfied with water; And the fire that saith not, Enough. (Sheol h7585)
I što god nakaniš učiniti, učini dok možeš, jer nema ni djela, ni umovanja, ni spoznaje, ni mudrosti u Podzemlju u koje ideš. (Sheol h7585)
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, whither thou goest. (Sheol h7585)
Stavi me kao znak na srce, kao pečat na ruku svoju, jer ljubav je jaka kao smrt, a ljubomora tvrda kao grob. Žar je njezin žar vatre i plamena Jahvina. (Sheol h7585)
Set me as a seal upon thy heart, As a seal upon thine arm: For love is strong as death; Jealousy is cruel as Sheol; The flashes thereof are flashes of fire, A very flame of Jehovah. (Sheol h7585)
Da, Podzemlje će razvaliti ždrijelo, razjapit će ralje neizmjerne da se u njih strmoglave odličnici mu i mnoštvo sa svom grajom i veseljem! (Sheol h7585)
Therefore Sheol hath enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth among them, descend [into it]. (Sheol h7585)
“Zaišti od Jahve, Boga svoga, jedan znak za sebe iz dubine Podzemlja ili gore iz visina.” (Sheol h7585)
Ask thee a sign of Jehovah thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. (Sheol h7585)
Zbog tebe se uzbudi Podzemlje da te dočeka kada dođeš. U tvoju čast ono budi sjene, sve zemaljske mogućnike, ono diže s prijestolja sve kraljeve naroda. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming; it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
Oholost se tvoja sruši u Podzemlje i buka tvojih harfa; pod tobom je ležaj od truleži, a crvi tvoj su pokrivač. (Sheol h7585)
Thy pomp is brought down to Sheol, [and] the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and worms cover thee. (Sheol h7585)
A sruši se u Podzemlje, u dubine provalije!” (Sheol h7585)
Yet thou shalt be brought down to Sheol, to the uttermost parts of the pit. (Sheol h7585)
Vi velite: “Sklopismo savez sa smrću i s Podzemljem učinismo sporazum. Kad prođe bič razorni, ne, neće nas dohvatiti, jer od laži načinismo sebi sklonište i od obmane skrovište.” (Sheol h7585)
Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us; for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: (Sheol h7585)
propast će savez vaš sa smrću, vaš sporazum s Podzemljem održat' se neće. Kada bič razorni prođe, satrt će vas; (Sheol h7585)
And your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. (Sheol h7585)
“Govorio sam: U podne dana svojih ja moram otići. Na vratima Podzemlja mjesto mi je dano za ostatak mojih ljeta. (Sheol h7585)
I said, In the noontide of my days I shall go into the gates of Sheol: I am deprived of the residue of my years. (Sheol h7585)
Jer Podzemlje ne slavi te, ne hvali te Smrt; oni koji padnu u rupu u tvoju se vjernost više ne uzdaju. (Sheol h7585)
For Sheol cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: They that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. (Sheol h7585)
S uljem za Molekom trčiš, s pomastima mnogim, nadaleko posla glasnike svoje, strovali ih u Podzemlje. (Sheol h7585)
And thou wentest to the king with oil, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thine ambassadors far off, and didst debase thyself even unto Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: 'U dan kad on siđe u Podzemlje, u znak žalosti, zatvorih nad njim ponor i zaustavih rijeke njegove. I velike vode presahnuše te sav Libanon zbog njega u tugu zaogrnuh i sve se poljsko drveće zbog njega osuši! (Sheol h7585)
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In the day when he went down to Sheol I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the rivers thereof; and the great waters were stayed; and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him. (Sheol h7585)
Gromotom pada njegova potresoh narode kad ga strmoglavih u Podzemlje s onima što u jamu siđoše! I u podzemnom se kraju utješi sve drveće edensko, najizabranije i najljepše u Libanonu, sve što je vodu ispijalo. (Sheol h7585)
I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to Sheol with them that descend into the pit; and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the nether parts of the earth. (Sheol h7585)

They also went down into Sheol with him unto them that are slain by the sword; yea, they that were his arm, [that] dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
Najhrabriji junaci govorit će mu iz srca Podzemlja: 'Ti i pomoćnici tvoji siđite i počinite s neobrezanima, mačem pokošenima!' (Sheol h7585)
The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of Sheol with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie still, even the uncircumcised, slain by the sword. (Sheol h7585)
Ne leže s junacima davno palima, u Podzemlje siđoše s oružjem, s mačem pod glavom i sa štitom na kostima, jer bijahu užas junacima u zemlji živih. (Sheol h7585)
And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, that are gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, and have laid their swords under their heads, and their iniquities are upon their bones; for [they were] the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)
Ja ću ih izbaviti od vlasti Podzemlja, od smrti ću ih spasiti! Gdje je tvoja kuga, o smrti, gdje pomor tvoj, Podzemlje! Samilost se sakri od mojih očiju! (Sheol h7585)
I will ransom them from the power of Sheol; I will redeem them from death: O death, where are thy plagues? O Sheol, where is thy destruction? repentance shall be hid from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)
Zariju li se i u Podzemlje, iščupat će ih ruka moja. Popnu li se i na nebo, odande ću ih skinuti. (Sheol h7585)
Though they dig into Sheol, thence shall my hand take them; and though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down. (Sheol h7585)
On reče: “Iz nevolje svoje zavapih Jahvi, i on me usliša; iz utrobe Podzemlja zazvah, i ti si mi čuo glas. (Sheol h7585)
And he said, I called by reason of mine affliction unto Jehovah, And he answered me; Out of the belly of Sheol cried I, [And] thou heardest my voice. (Sheol h7585)
Bogatstvo je odista podmuklo! Ohol je i ne može počinuti tko ždrijelo razvaljuje k'o Podzemlje, tko je kao smrt nezasitan, tko sabire za se sve narode, tko kupi za se sva plemena! (Sheol h7585)
Yea, moreover, wine is treacherous, a haughty man, that keepeth not at home; who enlargeth his desire as Sheol, and he is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all peoples. (Sheol h7585)
A ja vam kažem: Svaki koji se srdi na brata svoga, bit će podvrgnut sudu. A tko bratu rekne 'Glupane!', bit će podvrgnut Vijeću. A tko reče: 'Luđače!', bit će podvrgnut ognju paklenomu.” (Geenna g1067)
but I say unto you, that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council; and whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of the hell of fire. (Geenna g1067)

And if thy right hand causeth thee to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not thy whole body go into hell. (Geenna g1067)
“Ne bojte se onih koji ubijaju tijelo, ali duše ne mogu ubiti. Bojte se više onoga koji može i dušu i tijelo pogubiti u paklu.” (Geenna g1067)
And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Geenna g1067)

And he that was sown among the thorns, this is he that heareth the word; and the care of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
Neprijatelj koji ga posija jest đavao. Žetva je svršetak svijeta, a žeteoci anđeli. (aiōn g165)
and the enemy that sowed them is the devil: and the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are angels. (aiōn g165)

Ugleda smokvu kraj puta i priđe k njoj, ali ne nađe na njoj ništa osim lišća pa joj kaže: “Ne bilo više ploda s tebe dovijeka!” I smokva umah usahnu. (aiōn g165)
And seeing a fig tree by the way side, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only; and he saith unto it, Let there be no fruit from thee henceforward for ever. And immediately the fig tree withered away. (aiōn g165)
