فَهَؤُلاءِ لَمْ يُنَجِّسُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ مَعَ النِّسَاءِ لأَنَّهُمْ أَطْهَارٌ، وَهُمْ يَتْبَعُونَ الْحَمَلَ حَيْثُمَا ذَهَبَ، وَقَدْ تَمَّ شِرَاؤُهُمْ مِنْ بَيْنِ النَّاسِ بَاكُورَةً لِلهِ، وَلِلْحَمَلِ،

এরা স্ত্রীলোকদের সঙ্গে ব্যভিচার করে নিজেদের অশুচি করে নি, কারণ এরা নিজেরা ব্যভিচার থেকে সূচী রেখেছেন। যে কোন জায়গায় মেষ শিশু যান, সেই জায়গায় এরা তাঁর সঙ্গে যান। এরা ঈশ্বরের ও মেষশিশুর জন্য প্রথম ফল বলে মানুষের মধ্য থেকে কিনে নেওয়া হয়েছে।
এঁরা তাঁরাই, যাঁরা নারী-সংসর্গে নিজেদের কলুষিত করেননি, কারণ তাঁরা নিজেদের শুচিশুদ্ধ রেখেছিলেন। মেষশাবক যেখানেই যান, তাঁরা তাঁকে অনুসরণ করেন। তাঁদের মানুষদের মধ্য থেকে কিনে নেওয়া হয়েছিল এবং ঈশ্বর ও সেই মেষশাবকের উদ্দেশে প্রথম ফসলরূপে তাঁদের নিবেদন করা হয়েছিল।
