Karena iman Habel telah mempersembahkan kepada Allah korban yang lebih baik dari pada korban Kain. Dengan jalan itu ia memperoleh kesaksian kepadanya, bahwa ia benar, karena Allah berkenan akan persembahannya itu dan karena iman ia masih berbicara, sesudah ia mati.
Karena percaya penuh kepada Allah, Habel mempersembahkan kurban yang lebih baik daripada kurban Kain. Itulah sebabnya Allah berkenan kepada Habel dan menerima dia sebagai orang benar. Jadi, biarpun Habel sudah lama mati, dia tetap menjadi teladan bagi kita karena percayanya itu.
