< Revelation 4 >
1 Lẹ́yìn nǹkan wọ̀nyí èmi wò, sì kíyèsi i, ìlẹ̀kùn kan ṣí sílẹ̀ ní ọ̀run, ohùn kìn-ín-ní tí mo gbọ́ bí ohùn ìpè tí ń bá mi sọ̀rọ̀, tí ó wí pé, “Gòkè wá níhìn-ín, èmi ó sì fi ohun tí yóò ṣẹlẹ̀ lẹ́yìn èyí hàn ọ́.”
After this, in my vision, I saw an open door in the heavens, and the first voice that I heard was like the blast of a trumpet speaking to me. It said – ‘Come up here and I will show you what must take place.’
2 Lójúkan náà, mo sì wà nínú Ẹ̀mí, sì kíyèsi i, a tẹ́ ìtẹ́ kan ní ọ̀run, ẹnìkan sì jókòó lórí ìtẹ́ náà.
Immediately after this I fell into a trance. There stood a throne in heaven, and on the throne was One seated.
3 Ẹni tí ó sì jókòó náà dàbí òkúta jasperi àti kaneliani lójú. Ni àyíká ìtẹ́ náà ni òṣùmàrè kan wà tí ó dàbí òkúta emeradi lójú.
He who was seated on it was in appearance like a jasper and a sardius; and around the throne there was a rainbow of the color of an emerald.
4 Yí ìtẹ́ náà ká sì ni ìtẹ́ mẹ́rìnlélógún mìíràn; àti lórí àwọn ìtẹ́ náà mo rí àwọn àgbà mẹ́rìnlélógún jókòó, tí a wọ̀ ni aṣọ àlà; adé wúrà sì wà ni orí wọn.
And around the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and on these I saw twenty-four elders sitting clothed in white robes; and on their heads they had crowns of gold.
5 Àti láti ibi ìtẹ́ náà ni ìró mọ̀nàmọ́ná àti ohùn àti àrá ti jáde wá: níwájú ìtẹ́ náà ni fìtílà iná méje sì ń tàn, èyí tí ń ṣe Ẹ̀mí méje ti Ọlọ́run.
Out from the throne come flashes of lightning, cries, and peals of thunder! There are seven torches burning in front of the throne, which are the seven spirits of God;
6 Àti láti ibi ìtẹ́ náà ni òkun bi dígí wà tí o dàbí kristali. Àti yí ìtẹ́ náà ká ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ kọ̀ọ̀kan ni ẹ̀dá alààyè mẹ́rin tí ó kún fún ojú níwájú àti lẹ́yìn wọn.
and in front of the throne is what seemed to be a sea of glass, resembling crystal, while within the space before the throne and around the throne are four creatures full of eyes in front and behind.
7 Ẹ̀dá kìn-ín-ní sì dàbí kìnnìún, ẹ̀dá kejì si dàbí ọmọ màlúù, ẹ̀dá kẹta sì ni ojú bi ti ènìyàn, ẹ̀dá kẹrin sì dàbí idì tí ń fò.
The first creature is like a lion, the second creature like a calf, the third creature has a face like a man’s, and the fourth creature is like an eagle on the wing.
8 Àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè mẹ́rin náà, tí olúkúlùkù wọn ni ìyẹ́ mẹ́fà, kún fún ojú yíká ara àti nínú; wọn kò sì sinmi lọ́sàn àti lóru, láti wí pé:
These four creatures have each of them six wings, and all around, and within, they are full of eyes; and day and night they never cease to say – ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord, our God, the Almighty, who was, and who is, and who will be.’
9 Nígbà tí àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè náà bá sì fi ògo àti ọlá, àti ọpẹ́ fún ẹni tí o jókòó lórí ìtẹ́, tí o ń bẹ láààyè láé àti láéláé. (aiōn )
And, whenever these creatures give praise and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, to him who lives for ever and ever, (aiōn )
10 Àwọn àgbà mẹ́rìnlélógún náà yóò sì wólẹ̀ níwájú ẹni tí o jókòó lórí ìtẹ́, wọn yóò sì tẹríba fún ẹni tí ń bẹ láààyè láé àti láéláé, wọn yóò sì fi adé wọn lélẹ̀ níwájú ìtẹ́ náà, wí pé: (aiōn )
the twenty-four elders prostrate themselves before him who is seated on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever, and throw down their crowns before the throne, saying – (aiōn )
11 “Olúwa àti Ọlọ́run, ìwọ ni o yẹ, láti gba ògo àti ọlá àti agbára, nítorí pé ìwọ ni o dá ohun gbogbo, àti nítorí ìfẹ́ inú rẹ̀ ni wọn fi wà tí a sì dá wọn.”
‘Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive all praise, and honor, and power, for you did create all things, and at your bidding they came into being and were created.’
