< Revelation 16 >
1 Mo sì gbọ́ ohùn ńlá kan láti inú tẹmpili wá, ń wí fún àwọn angẹli, méje nì pé, “Ẹ lọ, ẹ sì tú ago ìbínú Ọlọ́run wọ̀n-ọn-nì sí orí ayé.”
Then I heard a loud voice, which came from the Temple, saying to the seven angels – ‘Go and empty the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.’
2 Èkínní sì lọ, ó sì tú ago tirẹ̀ sí orílẹ̀ ayé: egbò kíkẹ̀ tí ó sì díbàjẹ́ sì dá àwọn ènìyàn tí ó ní àmì ẹranko náà, àti àwọn tí ń foríbalẹ̀ fún àwòrán rẹ̀.
The first angel went and emptied his bowl on the earth; and it turned to loathsome and painful sores on all who bore the brand of the Beast and who worshiped its image.
3 Èkejì sì tú ago sínú Òkun; ó sì dàbí ẹ̀jẹ̀ òkú ènìyàn, gbogbo ọkàn alààyè sì kú nínú Òkun.
Then the second angel emptied his bowl on the sea; and it turned to blood like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died – everything in the sea.
4 Ẹ̀kẹta sì tú ago tirẹ̀ sínú odò, àti sí orísun àwọn omi; wọ́n sì di ẹ̀jẹ̀.
Then the third angel emptied his bowl on the rivers and springs of water; and it turned to blood.
5 Mo sì gbọ́ angẹli tí ó n wí pé: “Olódodo ni ìwọ ninu gbogbo ìdájọ́ wọ̀nyí, ìwọ ẹni tí ó n bẹ àti tí ó tí wa, Ẹni Mímọ́ nítorí tí ìwọ ṣe ìdájọ́ bẹ́ẹ̀.
And I heard the angel of the Waters saying – ‘Righteous are you, you who is and who is, the Holy One, in inflicting this judgment;
6 Nítorí tí wọ́n ti ta ẹ̀jẹ̀ àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́ àti ti àwọn wòlíì sílẹ̀, ìwọ sì fi ẹ̀jẹ̀ fún wọn mu; èyí yìí ní ó yẹ wọ́n.”
for men shed the blood of Christ’s people and of the prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve.’
7 Mo sì gbọ́ ti pẹpẹ ń ké wí pé: “Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, Olúwa Ọlọ́run Olódùmarè, òtítọ́ àti òdodo ní ìdájọ́ rẹ.”
And I heard the response from the altar – ‘Yes, Lord, our God, the Almighty, true and righteous are they judgments.’
8 Ẹ̀kẹrin sì tú ago tirẹ̀ sórí oòrùn; a sì yọ̀ǹda fún un láti fi iná jó ènìyàn lára.
Then the fourth angel emptied his bowl on the sun; and he was permitted to scorch men with fire;
9 A sì fi ooru ńlá jó àwọn ènìyàn lára, wọ́n sì sọ̀rọ̀-òdì sí orúkọ Ọlọ́run, ẹni tí ó ní agbára lórí ìyọnu wọ̀nyí: wọn kò sì ronúpìwàdà láti fi ògo fún un.
and men were scorched by the intense heat. They blasphemed the name of God who controlled these curses, yet they did not repent and give him praise.
10 Ẹ̀karùnún sì tú ago tirẹ̀ sórí ìtẹ́ ẹranko náà; ilẹ̀ ọba rẹ̀ sì ṣókùnkùn; wọ́n sì ń gé ahọ́n wọn jẹ́ nítorí ìrora.
Then the fifth angel emptied his bowl on the throne of the Beast; and darkness fell on its kingdom. Men gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 Wọ́n sì sọ̀rọ̀-òdì sí Ọlọ́run ọ̀run nítorí ìrora wọn àti nítorí egbò wọn, wọ́n kò sì ronúpìwàdà iṣẹ́ wọn.
and blasphemed the God of heaven, because of their pains and because of their sores; yet they did not repent of what they had done.
12 Ẹ̀kẹfà sì tu ìgò tirẹ̀ sórí odò ńlá Eufurate; omi rẹ̀ sì gbẹ, kí a lè pèsè ọ̀nà fún àwọn ọba láti ìlà-oòrùn wá.
Then the sixth angel emptied his bowl on the great river Euphrates; and the water in the river was dried up, so that the road for the kings of the East might be made ready.
13 Mo sì rí àwọn ẹ̀mí àìmọ́ mẹ́ta bí ọ̀pọ̀lọ́, wọ́n ti ẹnu dragoni náà àti ẹnu ẹranko náà àti ẹnu wòlíì èké náà jáde wá.
And I saw three foul spirits, like frogs, come from the mouth of the Dragon and from the mouth of the Beast and from the mouth of the false prophet.
14 Nítorí ẹ̀mí èṣù ni wọ́n, tí ń ṣe iṣẹ́ ìyanu, àwọn tí ń jáde lọ sọ́dọ̀ àwọn ọba gbogbo ilẹ̀ ayé, láti gbá wọn jọ sí ogun ọjọ́ ńlá Ọlọ́run Olódùmarè.
They are the spirits of demons, and perform marvels; they go to kings all over the world, to collect them for the battle on the great day of Almighty God.
15 “Kíyèsi i; ń bọ̀ bi olè, ìbùkún ni fún ẹni tí ń ṣọ́nà, tí ó sì ń pa aṣọ rẹ̀ mọ́, kí ó má bá a rìn ni ìhòhò, wọn a sì rí ìtìjú rẹ̀.”
(‘I am coming like a thief! Happy will he be who is on the watch, and keeps his clothing at hand, so that he will not have to walk about unclothed and let men see his nakedness.’)
16 Ó sì gbá wọn jọ́ sí ibìkan tí a ń pè ní Amagedoni ní èdè Heberu.
And the spirits collected the kings at the place called in Hebrew ‘Har-Magedon.’
17 Èkeje si tú ago tirẹ̀ sí ojú ọ̀run; ohùn ńlá kan sì ti inú tẹmpili jáde láti ibi ìtẹ́, wí pé, “Ó parí!”
Then the seventh angel emptied his bowl on the air. (A loud voice came from the throne in the Temple; it said ‘All is over.’)
18 Mọ̀nàmọ́ná sì kọ, a sì gbọ́ ohùn, àrá sì sán, ìṣẹ̀lẹ̀ ńlá sì ṣẹ̀, irú èyí tí kò ṣẹ̀ ri láti ìgbà tí ènìyàn ti wà lórí ilẹ̀, irú ìṣẹ̀lẹ̀ ńlá bẹ́ẹ̀, tí ó sì lágbára tó bẹ́ẹ̀.
There followed flashes of lightning, cries, and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as had not occurred since man began to be on the earth – none so great;
19 Ìlú ńlá náà sì pín sí ipa mẹ́ta, àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè sì ṣubú: Babeli ńlá sì wá sí ìrántí níwájú Ọlọ́run, láti fi ago ọtí wáìnì ti ìrunú ìbínú rẹ̀ fún un.
and the great city was torn in three, and the cities of the nation fell, and God remembered Babylon the Great, and gave her the maddening wine-cup of his wrath;
20 Olúkúlùkù erékùṣù sì sálọ, a kò sì ri àwọn òkè ńlá mọ́.
and every island vanished, and the mountains disappeared.
21 Yìnyín ńlá, tí ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan rẹ̀ tó tálẹ́ǹtì ní ìwọ̀n, sì bọ́ lù àwọn ènìyàn láti ọ̀run wà, àwọn ènìyàn sì sọ̀rọ̀-òdì sí Ọlọ́run nítorí ìyọnu yìnyín náà; nítorí tí ìyọnu rẹ̀ náà pọ̀ gidigidi.
Great hailstones, a pound in weight, are falling on men from the heavens. And men blasphemed God because of the curse of the hail, for it was a very terrible curse.
