Thánh Thi 7
1 (Thơ của Đa-vít, ca ngợi Chúa về Cút, người Bên-gia-min, theo điệu Sít-gai-on) Con ẩn trú nơi Chúa, lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời con. Xin cứu con khỏi những người đuổi bắt con—xin giải cứu con!
Yahweh my God, I come to you to protect me. Rescue me, save me from all those who are pursuing me [in order to harm me].
2 Kẻo chúng nó vồ con như sư tử, xé nát con, không ai giải thoát cho.
If you do not do that, they will tear me into pieces like a lion does [when it attacks the animals it wants to kill], and no one will save me [from them].
3 Lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời con, nếu con làm việc dữ hay nếu tay con làm điều tội ác,
Yahweh my God, if I have done anything that is wrong,
4 nếu con xử tệ với người sống thuận hòa, hoặc vô cớ cướp bóc kẻ thù,
if I have done evil to some friend who did good things to me, or if, for no good reason, I have spared (OR, acted violently toward) those who were my enemies,
5 thì con đáng bị kẻ thù rượt bắt. Chà đạp mạng sống con dưới chân, và khiến con vùi thây trong đất bụi.
allow my enemies to pursue me and capture me. Allow them to trample me into the ground and leave me [SYN] [lying dead] in the dirt.
6 Lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu, xin nổi cơn thịnh nộ! Đối với cơn giận của những kẻ hại con! Xin thức dậy, lạy Đức Chúa Trời con, Xin Ngài thi hành công lý!
But Yahweh, because you are [very] angry [with those who pursue me], arise and attack/defeat my enemies who are furiously/angrily [attacking me] Do to them what is just!
7 Các dân tộc sẽ tụ họp quanh Chúa. Trên ngôi cao Ngài phán xét loài người.
Gather around you the people of [all] nations, and rule them from where you are in heaven [MTY].
8 Chúa Hằng Hữu sẽ xét xử muôn dân. Xin đem con ra phán xét, ôi Chúa Hằng Hữu, theo lòng con thẳng ngay và liêm khiết, ôi Đấng Chí Cao!
Yahweh, judge the people of [all] nations! And, Yahweh, show that I have done nothing that is wrong.
9 Xin chấm dứt việc hung tàn người ác, và che chở người ngay lành. Vì Ngài dò xét sâu xa tâm trí loài người, lạy Đức Chúa Trời công minh.
God, you know what every person is thinking, and because you are righteous, you [always] do what is just/right. [So now] stop evil people from doing wicked [deeds], and defend [all of us who are] righteous!
10 Đức Chúa Trời là khiên thuẫn chở che tôi, giải cứu người có lòng chính trực.
God, you protect me like a shield [protects soldiers] [MET]; you protect all those who are righteous in their inner being.
11 Đức Chúa Trời là Thẩm Phán công minh. Hằng ngày Ngài nổi giận về tội ác.
You judge [everyone] correctly, and every day you punish [wicked people].
12 Nếu không hối cải ăn năn, Đức Chúa Trời đành mài kiếm; và Ngài giương cung sẵn sàng.
Whenever your enemies do not (repent/change their behavior), [it is as though] [MET] you sharpen your sword and put a string on your bow [to get ready to kill them].
13 Bày ra khí giới hủy diệt, lắp tên lửa cháy phừng phừng bắn ra.
You are preparing your weapons that kill those whom they strike; the arrows that you will shoot have flaming tips.
14 Người gian ác cưu mang độc kế; nên bày ra đủ thế gạt lường.
Wicked people tell lies, and they think that they surely will be able to do [MET] the evil things that they are planning to do [just as surely as] a pregnant woman [knows that she is going to give birth to a child] [MET].
15 Họ đào hầm toan để hại người, nhưng chính họ lại rơi vào đấy.
But when they dig a deep pit [to trap others], they themselves will fall into it.
16 Điều tàn hại họ gây ra lại giáng trên họ. Mưu gian ác lại đổ lên đầu họ.
They themselves will experience the trouble that they want to cause others to have; they will hurt themselves by the violent things that they want to do to others.
17 Tôi sẽ cảm tạ Chúa Hằng Hữu vì Ngài công chính; Tôi sẽ hát tôn thờ Danh Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao.
I praise Yahweh because he [always acts] righteously/justly; I sing to praise Yahweh, the one who is much greater than any other god.
