Phục Truyền Luật Lệ 32
1 “Hỡi trời, hãy lắng nghe, ta sẽ nói! Hỡi đất, hãy nghe lời ta nói!
Hearken, ye heauens, and I will speake: and let the earth heare the words of my mouth.
2 Lời ta êm nhẹ như sương sa, có lúc tầm tã như mưa móc. Nhuần tưới đồng xanh và thảo mộc.
My doctrine shall drop as the raine, and my speach shall stil as the dew, as the showre vpon the herbes, and as the great raine vpon the grasse.
3 Ta tung hô Danh Chúa Vĩnh Hằng; ca tụng công ơn Đức Chúa Trời vĩ đại.
For I will publish the name of the Lord: giue ye glorie vnto our God.
4 Chúa là Vầng Đá hiên ngang. Đường lối Ngài chính là công lý. Tuyệt đối chính trực và công bằng; luôn thành tín, không hề nhiễm tội!
Perfect is the worke of the mighty God: for all his wayes are iudgement. God is true, and without wickednesse: iust, and righteous is he.
5 Nhưng Ít-ra-ên phản phúc thình lình; không tình nghĩa cha con. Họ là một giống nòi lừa đảo, thông gian.
They haue corrupted them selues towarde him by their vice, not being his children, but a frowarde and crooked generation.
6 Phải chăng đây là cách báo đền ơn Chúa, hỡi dân tộc khờ khạo, điên cuồng? Có phải Chúa là Thiên Phụ từ nhân? Đấng chăn nuôi dưỡng dục, tác thành con dân?
Doe ye so rewarde the Lord, O foolish people and vnwise? is not he thy father, that hath bought thee? he hath made thee, and proportioned thee.
7 Thử nhớ lại những ngày dĩ vãng; suy ngẫm về các thế hệ đã qua. Thử hỏi xem các bậc trưởng lão. Họ sẽ ân cần dạy bảo.
Remember the dayes of olde: consider the yeeres of so many generations: aske thy father, and he will shewe thee: thine Elders, and they will tell thee.
8 Khi Đấng Tối Cao phân chia lãnh thổ, phân phối dòng dõi A-đam khắp thế gian, cho mỗi dân tộc đều hưởng một phần, thì Ngài căn cứ trên số dân của cộng đồng con cái Chân Thần.
When the most hie God deuided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sonnes of Adam, he appoynted the borders of the people, according to the nomber of the children of Israel.
9 Nhưng Chúa là phần của Ít-ra-ên, vì Gia-cốp thuộc về Ngài.
For the Lordes portion is his people: Iaakob is the lot of his inheritance.
10 Chúa tìm thấy họ trong hoang mạc, giữa tiếng gào thét của chốn hoang vu; bảo vệ họ như con ngươi tròng mắt.
He found him in ye land of ye wildernes, in a waste, and roaring wildernes: he led him about, he taught him, and kept him as ye apple of his eye.
11 Như phụng hoàng lay động tổ, bay quanh các con bé bỏng mình, dang cánh ra hứng đỡ, rồi cõng đàn con trên cánh.
As an eagle stereth vp her nest, flootereth ouer her birdes, stretcheth out her wings, taketh them, and beareth them on her wings,
12 Dân ta cũng được Ngài dắt dìu; chỉ có Chúa, chẳng có thần nào khác.
So the Lord alone led him, and there was no strange god with him.
13 Ngài cho họ ở trên đồi cao, hưởng hoa màu của đất. Đá lửa bỗng phun dầu, khe núi tuôn dòng mật.
He caryed him vp to the hie places of the earth, that he might eate the fruites of the fieldes, and he caused him to sucke hony out of the stone, and oyle out of the hard rocke:
14 Họ được sữa bò, chiên dư dật, lấy giống chiên, dê đực, dê Ba-san. Gieo giống lúa mì thượng hạng, và uống rượu nho thuần chất.
Butter of kine, and milke of sheepe with fat of the lambes, and rammes fed in Bashan, and goates, with the fat of the graines of wheat, and the red licour of the grape hast thou drunke.
15 Nhưng khi Ít-ra-ên vừa mập béo, liền từ bỏ Đức Chúa Trời, là Đấng Sáng Tạo, coi rẻ Vầng Đá cứu chuộc họ.
But he that should haue bene vpright, when he waxed fat, spurned with his heele: thou art fat, thou art grosse, thou art laden with fatnes: therefore he forsooke God that made him, and regarded not the strong God of his saluation.
16 Họ cúng thờ thần tượng xa lạ khiến Ngài ghen tức, làm những việc ghê tởm để chọc giận Ngài.
They prouoked him with strange gods: they prouoked him to anger with abominations.
17 Họ dâng lễ vật cho quỷ chứ không thờ Đức Chúa Trời, cúng tế các thần xa lạ họ và tổ tiên chưa từng biết.
They offred vnto deuils, not to God, but to gods whome they knew not: new gods that came newly vp, whome their fathers feared not.
18 Họ không chú tâm đến Vầng Đá sáng tạo; lãng quên Đức Chúa Trời sinh thành họ.
Thou hast forgotten the mightie God that begate thee, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
19 Thấy thế, Chúa Hằng Hữu buộc lòng ghét bỏ. Vì con cái Chúa dám khiêu khích Ngài.
The Lord then sawe it, and was angrie, for the prouocation of his sonnes and of his daughters.
20 Chúa phán: ‘Ta sẽ lánh mặt; để xem cuối cùng họ ra sao! Họ chỉ là một dòng giống bất trung gian tà.
And he said, I will hide my face from the: I will see what their ende shalbe: for they are a frowarde generation, children in who is no faith.
21 Họ làm Ta gớm ghét các tượng họ thờ, dù đó chỉ là tượng vô dụng, vô tri, chứ chẳng phải là thần. Ta sẽ làm cho họ ganh với nhiều dân; làm cho họ tị hiềm những dân ngoại.
They haue moued me to ielousie with that which is not God: they haue prouoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will moue them to ielousie with those which are no people: I wil prouoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
22 Vì lửa giận Ta bốc cháy và thiêu đốt Âm Phủ đến tận đáy. Đốt đất và hoa mầu ruộng đất, thiêu rụi cả nền tảng núi non. (Sheol h7585)
For fire is kindled in my wrath, and shall burne vnto the bottome of hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountaines. (Sheol h7585)
23 Tai họa sẽ chồng chất, Ta bắn tên trúng vào người họ.
I will spend plagues vpon them: I will bestowe mine arrowes vpon them.
24 Họ sẽ bị tiêu hao vì đói khát, thiêu nuốt vì nhiệt, và bệnh dịch độc địa. Ta sẽ sai thú dữ cắn xé họ, cùng với các loài rắn rít đầy nọc độc.
They shalbe burnt with hunger, and consumed with heate, and with bitter destruction: I will also sende the teeth of beastes vpon them, with the venime of serpents creeping in the dust.
25 Bên ngoài, rừng gươm giáo vây quanh, bên trong, nhung nhúc “kinh hoàng trùng,” già trẻ lớn bé đều tiêu vong.
The sworde shall kill them without, and in the chambers feare: both the yong man and the yong woman, the suckeling with the man of gray heare.
26 Ta định phân tán họ đến các nơi xa, và xóa sạch tàn tích dân này.
I haue said, I would scatter them abroade: I would make their remembrance to cease from among men,
27 Thế nhưng, Ta nghĩ rằng kẻ thù sẽ hiểu lầm, tự phụ: “Ta đánh Ít-ra-ên tan tành. Chứ Chúa có giúp gì cho họ đâu!”’
Saue that I feared the furie of the enemie, least their aduersaries should waxe proude, and least they should say, Our hie hande and not the Lord hath done all this:
28 Ít-ra-ên là một dân có óc lại ngu đần, thiếu hiểu biết.
For they are a nation voide of counsel, neither is there any vnderstanding in them.
29 Ước gì họ khôn ngoan! Ý thức được cuối cùng họ sẽ ra sao!
Oh that they were wise, then they would vnderstand this: they would consider their latter ende.
30 Vì sao một người đuổi nghìn người chạy trốn? Hai tên địch đuổi nổi mười nghìn lính Ít-ra-ên? Vì Vầng Đá đã bán họ, Chúa lìa bỏ họ.
How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousande to flight, except their strong God had sold the, and the Lord had shut them vp?
31 Nhưng hòn đá của kẻ thù đâu sánh nổi với Vầng Đá của chúng ta, chính kẻ thù cũng phải nhìn nhận.
For their god is not as our God, euen our enemies being iudges.
32 Quân thù trồng các loại nho trong vườn Sô-đôm với cánh đồng Gô-mô-rơ. Nhưng sinh toàn trái nho độc, chua, và đắng.
For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the vines of Gomorah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters be bitter.
33 Rượu nho của họ là nọc độc rắn.
Their wine is the poyson of dragons, and the cruel gall of aspes.
34 Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: ‘Ta đã thu thập và tồn trữ toàn dân như châu báu trong kho tàng.
Is not this laide in store with me, and sealed vp among my treasures?
35 Báo ứng là việc của Ta; Ta sẽ làm cho kẻ thù trượt ngã. Vì tai họa ào đến, diệt họ trong nháy mắt.’
Vengeance and recompence are mine: their foote shall slide in due time: for the day of their destruction is at hand, and the things that shall come vpon them, make haste.
36 Chúa sẽ xét xử dân Ngài cách công minh, xót thương tôi trai tớ gái mình khi thấy năng lực họ tàn tắt, người tự do lẫn nô lệ.
For the Lord shall iudge his people, and repent towarde his seruants, when hee seeth that their power is gone, and none shut vp in holde nor left abroad.
37 Ngài phán: ‘Các thần họ đâu rồi? Các vầng đá họ ẩn thân đâu?
When men shall say, Where are their gods, their mighty God in whome they trusted,
38 Thần được họ cúng tế rượu, mỡ, bây giờ đã ở đâu? Kêu chúng dậy giúp đỡ ngươi! Và bảo bọc các ngươi đi!
Which did eate the fat of their sacrifices, and did drinke the wine of their drinke offring? let them rise vp, and help you: let him be your refuge.
39 Chỉ có một mình Ta là Chân Thần. Ta giết và truyền cho sự sống, gây thương tích, rồi chữa lành; chẳng quyền lực nào của trần gian giải thoát nổi người nào khỏi tay Ta!
Behold now, for I, I am he, and there is no gods with me: I kill, and giue life: I wound, and I make whole: neither is there any that can deliuer out of mine hand.
40 Ta đưa tay lên thề: “Thật như Ta Hằng Sống,
For I lift vp mine hand to heauen, and say, I liue for euer.
41 Ta sẽ mài gươm sáng loáng, tay Ta cầm cán cân công lý, xét xử công minh, đền báo lại, báo ứng những người thù ghét Ta.
If I whet my glittering sworde, and mine hand take holde on iudgement, I will execute vengeance on mine enemies, and will rewarde them that hate me.
42 Mũi tên Ta say máu kẻ gian tà, lưỡi gươm Ta nghiến nghiền xương thịt— đẫm máu những người bị giết, gom thủ cấp tướng lãnh địch quân.”’
I will make mine arrowes drunke with blood, (and my sword shall eate flesh) for the blood of the slaine, and of the captiues, when I beginne to take vengeance of the enemie.
43 Này dân các nước thế gian! Hãy cùng dân Chúa hân hoan ca mừng, dù tiêu diệt địch tàn hung, Chúa thương xót mãi dân cùng nước ta.”
Ye nations, praise his people: for he will auenge the blood of his seruants, and will execute vengeance vpon his aduersaries, and will bee mercifull vnto his lande, and to his people.
44 Môi-se và Giô-suê, con của Nun, đọc lại bài ca cho toàn dân nghe.
Then Moses came and spake all ye words of this song in the audience of the people, he and Hoshea the sonne of Nun.
45 Sau khi Môi-se đọc xong,
When Moses had made an end of speaking all these wordes to all Israel,
46 ông căn dặn thêm: “Phải cố tâm ghi nhớ mọi điều tôi truyền lại cho anh em hôm nay, để rồi truyền lại cho con cháu mình.
Then hee said vnto them, Set your heartes vnto all the wordes which I testifie against you this day, that ye may commande them vnto your children, that they may obserue and doo all the wordes of this Lawe.
47 Vì các luật lệ này không phải là những lời nhảm nhí mà là nguồn sống của anh em. Tuân hành các luật lệ này, anh em mới được sống lâu dài trên đất hứa, đất nước bên kia Sông Giô-đan mà anh em sắp chiếm hữu.”
For it is no vaine worde concerning you, but it is your life, and by this worde ye shall prolong your dayes in the land, whither yee go ouer Iorden to possesse it.
48 Cùng ngày hôm ấy, Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo Môi-se:
And the Lord spake vnto Moses the selfe same day, saying,
49 “Hãy lên Núi Nê-bô thuộc dãy A-ra-rim trong đất Mô-áp, đối diện Giê-ri-cô để xem đất Ca-na-an là đất Ta cho Ít-ra-ên.
Goe vp into the mountaine of Abarim, vnto the mount Nebo, which is in the lande of Moab, that is ouer against Iericho: and beholde the lande of Canaan, which I giue vnto the children of Israel for a possession,
50 Con sẽ qua đời trên núi ấy, được về cùng các tổ tiên, như A-rôn đã qua đời trên Núi Hô-rơ.
And die in the mount which thou goest vp vnto, and thou shalt be gathered vnto thy people, as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered vnto his people,
51 Vì con đã không tôn kính Ta trước mặt người Ít-ra-ên, tại suối nước Mê-ri-ba, vùng Ca-đe trong hoang mạc Xin,
Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel, at the waters of Meribah, at Kadesh in the wildernesse of Zin: for ye sanctified me not among the children of Israel.
52 nên con không được vào đất Ta cho Ít-ra-ên, nhưng chỉ được nhìn đất ấy từ xa.”
Thou shalt therefore see the lande before thee, but shalt not go thither, I meane, into the land which I giue the children of Israel.
