Від Івана 2
1 А третього дня весі́лля справляли в Кані́ Галілейській, і була там Ісусова мати.
Now two days after this there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there;
2 На весілля запрошений був теж Ісус та учні Його.
Jesus also was invited to the wedding, and his disciples.
3 Як забракло ж вина, то мати Ісусова каже до Нього: „Не мають вина!“
And when the wine ran short, Jesus’ mother said to him, "They have no wine."
4 Ісус же відказує їй: „Що тобі, жо́но, до Мене? Не прийшла ще година Моя!“
"Woman," said Jesus, "what have you to do with me? My time is not yet come."
5 А мати Його до слуг каже: „Зробіть усе те, що́ Він вам скаже!“
His mother said to the attendants, "Whatever he may tell you to do, do it."
6 Було тут шість камінних посу́дин на воду, що стояли для очи́щення юдейського, що відер по дві чи по три вміщали.
Now there were six stone water - jars standing there, according to the Jewish rites of purification, each holding about twenty gallons.
7 Ісус каже до слуг: „Напо́вніть водою посу́дини“. І їх поналива́ли вще́рть.
Jesus said, "Fill up the jars with water."
8 І Він каже до них: „Тепер зачерпні́ть, і занесіть до весільного ста́рости“. І занесли.
So they filled them brimful. Then he said, "Draw some out now, and carry it to the master of the feast."
9 Як весільний же ста́роста скуштува́в воду, що сталась вином, а він не знав, звідки воно, — знали ж слу́ги, що води наливали, — то староста кличе тоді молодо́го
So they carried it. And when the master of the feast had tasted of the water which had been made wine, not knowing where it came from, though the attendants who had drawn it knew, he called the bridegroom and said to him.
10 та й каже йому: „Кожна люди́на подає перше добре вино, а як понапива́ються, тоді гірше; а ти добре вино аж на досі зберіг“.
"Everybody serves first the good wine, and when people have drunk freely, the poor wine; but you have kept the good wine until now."
11 Такий поча́ток чудам зробив Ісус у Кані́ Галілейській, — і виявив славу Свою. І ввірували в Нього учні Його.
This beginning of signs Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and showed forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him there.
12 Після цього відправивсь Він Сам, і мати Його, і брати Його, і Його учні до Капернау́му, і там перебули небагато днів.
Afterward he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and remained there a few days.
13 А зближалася Пасха юдейська, і до Єрусалиму подався Ісус.
Now the Passover of the Jews was near, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 І знайшов Він, що продавали у храмі волів, і овець, і голубів, та сиділи міня́льники.
There he found in the temple those who were selling cattle and sheep and doves, and the money-changers sitting there.
15 І, зробивши бича́ з мотузкі́в, Він вигнав із храму всіх, — вівці й воли, а міня́льникам гроші розси́пав, і попереверта́в їм столи́.
So he plaited a scourge of rushes, and drove all out of the temple - both the sheep and oxen. He began to pour out the coins of the money- changers, and to overturn their tables,
16 І сказав продавця́м голубів: „Заберіть оце звідси, і не робіть із дому Отця Мого дому торго́вого!
and said to those who were selling doves. "Take these things away! Make not my Father’s house a house of trade!
17 Тоді учні Його згадали, що написано: „Ревність до дому Твого з'їдає Мене!“
His disciples recalled that it is written, The zeal of thine house will devour me.
18 І обізва́лись юдеї й сказали Йому: „Яке нам знаме́но покажеш, що Ти можеш робити таке?“
Then the Jews asked Jesus, "What sign are you going to show us, seeing that you do these things?"
19 Ісус відповів і промовив до них: „Зруйнуйте цей храм, — і за три дні Я поставлю його!“
"Destroy this temple," answered Jesus, "and in three days I will raise it up."
20 Відказали ж юдеї: „Сорок шість літ будувався цей храм, а Ти за три́ дні поставиш його?“
The Jews retorted, "This Temple took forty-six years to build, and will you ‘raise it in three days’?"
21 А Він говорив про храм тіла Свого.
But he was speaking about the temple of his body; and when the disciples recalled what he had said,
22 Коли ж Він із мертвих воскрес, то учні Його згадали, що Він говорив це, і ввірували в Писа́ння та в слово, що сказав був Ісус.
after he had been raised from the dead, they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.
23 А як в Єрусалимі Він був у свято Пасхи, то багато-хто ввірували в Його Йме́ння, побачивши чуда Його, що чинив.
Now when he was in Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover, many believed in his name, when they beheld the signs which he did;
24 Але Сам Ісус їм не звіря́вся, бо Сам знав усіх,
but for his part Jesus was not trusting himself to them, because he knew all men,
25 і потреби не мав, щоб хто сві́дчив Йому про люди́ну, — бо знав Сам, що в люди́ні було.
and did not need any one’s testimony concerning man, for he himself knew what was in man.
