1 Dawid mpaeɛbɔ. Ao Awurade, tie me na gye me so, ɛfiri sɛ meyɛ ohiani ne mmɔborɔni.
A Prayer of David. Bow down thy ear, O LORD, hear me: for I [am] poor and needy.
2 Bɔ me nkwa ho ban, ɛfiri sɛ mede me ho ama wo. Wone me Onyankopɔn, gye wʼakoa a ɔde ne ho to wo so.
Preserve my soul; for I [am] holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
3 Ao Awurade, hunu me mmɔbɔ, na mesu frɛ wo daa nyinaa.
Be merciful to me, O LORD: for I cry to thee daily.
4 Ma wʼakoa ani nnye, na wo Awurade, wo nkyɛn na mema me kra so ba.
Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for to thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
5 Ao Awurade, woyɛ, na wode bɔne kyɛ, wowɔ ɔdɔ mmorosoɔ ma wɔn a wɔsu frɛ wo nyinaa.
For thou, LORD, [art] good, and ready to forgive; and abundant in mercy to all them that call upon thee.
6 Ao Awurade, tie me mpaeɛbɔ; tie me mmɔborɔ su.
Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7 Mɛfrɛ wo mʼahohia da mu, na wobɛgye me so.
In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
8 Ao Awurade, onyame bi nni hɔ a ɔte sɛ wo; na wɔn nnwuma biara nto wo deɛ.
Among the gods [there is] none like thee, O LORD; neither [are there any works] like thy works.
9 Ao Awurade, aman a woakyekyere nyinaa bɛba abɛsom wo wɔ wʼanim; wɔbɛba abɛhyɛ wo din animuonyam.
All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O LORD; and shall glorify thy name.
10 Woyɛ kɛseɛ, na woyɛ anwanwa nnwuma; wo nko ara ne Onyankopɔn.
For thou [art] great, and doest wondrous things: thou [art] God alone.
11 Ao Awurade, kyerɛ me wʼakwan, na mɛnante wo nokorɛ mu; ma memfa mʼakoma nyinaa mma wo na masuro wo din.
Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
12 Mede mʼakoma nyinaa mɛyi wo ayɛ, Ao Awurade me Onyankopɔn na mahyɛ wo din animuonyam daa nyinaa.
I will praise thee, O LORD my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
13 Ɛfiri sɛ, ɔdɔ a wode dɔ me no so; woayi me afiri owuo amena mu tɔnn. (Sheol h7585)
For great [is] thy mercy towards me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. (Sheol h7585)
14 Ao Onyankopɔn, ahomasofoɔ ato ahyɛ me so; basabasayɛfoɔ kuo repɛ me akum me, nnipa a wɔmmfa wo nyɛ hwee no.
O God, the proud have risen against me, and the assemblies of violent [men] have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.
15 Nanso wo, Ao Awurade, woyɛ mmɔborɔhunufoɔ ne ɔdomfoɔ Onyankopɔn, wo bo kyɛre fu, na wʼadɔeɛ ne wo nokorɛ dɔɔso.
But thou, O LORD, [art] a God full of compassion, and gracious; long-suffering, and abundant in mercy and truth.
16 Dane wʼani hwɛ me na dom me; fa wʼahoɔden ma wʼakoa na gye wʼafenaa babarima nkwa.
O turn to me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength to thy servant, and save the son of thy handmaid.
17 Ma me wo papayɛ ho nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ, na mʼatamfoɔ nhunu na wɔn anim ngu ase na wo Ao Awurade, wo na woaboa me akyekye me werɛ.
Show me a token for good; that they who hate me may see [it], and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast helped me, and comforted me.
