Marko 6
1 Yesu firi baabi a ɔwɔ hɔ kɔɔ ne kurom a nʼasuafoɔ no ka ne ho.
And he went out from thence, and came into his own country, and his disciples follow him.
2 Ɔkɔɔ hyiadan mu Homeda, hyɛɛ aseɛ kyerɛkyerɛeɛ, maa dodoɔ a wɔbɛtiee no ho dwirii wɔn. Wobisaa sɛ, “Ɛhe na saa onipa yi nyaa saa nneɛma yi, ɛdeɛn nyansa na wɔde ama no a enti ɔtumi yɛ anwanwadeɛ yi?
And when the sabbath was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing [him] were astonished, saying, From whence hath this [man] these things? and what wisdom [is] this which is given to him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
3 Ɛnyɛ dua dwumfoɔ ba no ni? Ɛnyɛ Maria babarima a ne nuanom ne Yakobo, Yosef, Yuda ne Simon no nie? Ɛnyɛ yɛne ne nuammaanom na ɛte ha!” Na wɔn bo fuu no.
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Judas, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
4 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Odiyifoɔ kurom, nʼabusuafoɔ mu, ne ne fie na ɔnni animuonyam.”
But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor, but in his own country, and among his own kindred, and in his own house.
5 Wantumi anyɛ anwanwadeɛ ahodoɔ wɔ hɔ, gye ayarefoɔ kakra bi na ɔde ne nsa guu wɔn so, saa wɔn yadeɛ.
And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick persons, and healed [them].
6 Gye a wɔannye no anni no yɛɛ no nwanwa. Na Yesu kyinkyinii nkuraa ase kyerɛkyerɛeɛ.
And he marveled because of their unbelief. And he went around the villages teaching.
7 Yesu frɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ dumienu no baa ne nkyɛn, na ɔsomaa wɔn baanu baanu, maa wɔn tumi wɔ ahonhommɔne so.
And he calleth [to him] the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
8 Akwankyerɛ a ɔde maa wɔn nie, “Mommfa biribiara nkura gye mo poma nko ara; mommfa aduane anaa kotokuo anaa sika.
And commanded them that they should take nothing for [their] journey, save a staff only; no bag, no bread, no money in [their] purse:
9 Bio, mommfa mpaboa foforɔ anaa atadeɛ foforɔ nka deɛ ɛhyɛ mo yi ho.
But [be] shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.
10 Baabiara a mobɛkɔ no, montena efie baako pɛ mu. Monnsesa mo atenaeɛ.
And he said to them, In whatever place ye enter into a house, there abide till ye depart from that place.
11 Na sɛ morefiri kuro bi a wɔannye anaa wɔantie mo no mu akɔ a, momporoporo mo nan ase tutuo, mfa nni adanseɛ.”
And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence shake off the dust under your feet, for a testimony against them. Verily I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
12 Asuafoɔ no kɔkaa asɛm no kyerɛɛ obiara a wɔhyiaa no no sɛ ɔnnu ne ho, ntwe ne ho mfiri ne bɔne ho.
And they went out and preached that men should repent.
13 Na wɔtutuu ahonhommɔne bebree, de ngo sraa ayarefoɔ pii saa wɔn yadeɛ.
And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed [them].
14 Ɔhene Herode tee yei, ɛfiri sɛ na Yesu din atrɛ. Ebinom kaa sɛ, “Yohane Osubɔni no na wasane aba nkwa mu bio, enti na ɔtumi yɛ anwanwadeɛ a ɔyɛ yi.”
And king Herod heard [of him] (for his name was spread abroad: ) and he said, That John the Baptist had risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do show forth themselves in him.
15 Ebinom nso susuu sɛ, Yesu yɛ Odiyifoɔ Elia na wasane aba. Afoforɔ nso kaa sɛ, odiyifoɔ foforɔ bi a ɔte sɛ tete adiyifoɔ akɛseɛ no bi na waba.
Others said, That it is Elijah. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.
16 Herode kaa sɛ, “Dabi, ɛyɛ Yohane Osubɔni a metwaa ne ti no. Wanyane afiri owuo mu.”
But when Herod heard [of him], he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he hath risen from the dead.
17 Saa ɛberɛ no, na Herode asoma asraafoɔ ma wɔakɔkyere Yohane de no ato afiase, ɛfiri sɛ, na Yohane akasa atia Herode ne Herodia a na ɔyɛ Herode nua Filipo yere no awadeɛ.
For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife: for he had married her.
18 Yohane Osubɔni ka kyerɛɛ Herode sɛ, “Wonni ho ɛkwan sɛ woware wo nua yere.”
For John had said to Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.
19 Asɛm a Yohane kaeɛ no anyɛ Herodia nso dɛ, ma ɔnyaa ne ho menasepɔ kaa sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔkum Yohane. Nanso, ɔrentumi nku no gye sɛ Herode ama no tumi.
Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:
20 Na Herode de obuo ma Yohane, ɛfiri sɛ, na ɔnim sɛ ɔyɛ onipa tenenee. Yei enti, ɔbɔɔ ne ho ban. Ɛberɛ biara a Horode ne Yohane bɛkasa no, na ne ho yera no, nanso yei nyinaa akyi no, ɔde ntoboaseɛ tiee no.
For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, and observed him: and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.
21 Deɛ Herodia pɛɛ sɛ ɛnyɛ Yohane no baa mu. Ɛne sɛ, na Herode redi nʼawoda, ma ɔtoo ɛpono wɔ nʼahemfie maa ne mpanimfoɔ, nʼasafohene ne Galilea mpanimfoɔ.
And when a convenient day had come, that Herod on his birth-day made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief [men] of Galilee;
22 Herodia babaa bɛsa kyerɛɛ wɔn ma ɛyɛɛ wɔn nyinaa fɛ. Herode de ntamka kyerɛɛ ababaawa no sɛ, “Bisa me biribiara a wopɛ; sɛ mʼahemman mu fa mpo na wopɛ koraa a, mede bɛma wo!”
And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod, and them that sat with him, the king said to the damsel, Ask of me whatever thou wilt, and I will give [it] thee.
And he swore to her, Whatever thou shalt ask of me, I will give [it] thee, to the half of my kingdom.
24 Ababaawa yi kɔɔ ne maame nkyɛn kɔbisaa no deɛ ɔmmisa, ma ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Bisa no Yohane Osubɔni ti!”
And she went forth, and said to her mother, What shall I ask? and she said, The head of John the Baptist.
25 Ababaawa yi de ahoɔherɛ sane baa ɔhene no nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Mepɛ sɛ wode Yohane Osubɔni tiri to prɛte mu ma me seesei ara!”
And she came in forthwith with haste to the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou shouldst give me, immediately, in a dish, the head of John the Baptist.
26 Yei maa ɔhene no werɛ hoeɛ, nanso ɛsiane sɛ na waka ntam wɔ nnipa no anim no enti, wammu ɛbɔ a ɔhyɛɛ ne babaa no so.
And the king was exceeding sorry: [yet] for his oath's sake, and for their sakes who sat with him, he would not reject her.
27 Herode somaa nʼasraafoɔ no mu baako sɛ ɔnkɔ afiase hɔ nkɔtwa Yohane ti mfa mmrɛ no. Ɔsraani no kɔtwaa Yohane Osubɔni ti,
And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
28 na ɔde too prɛte mu de brɛɛ ababaawa no maa ɔde kɔmaa ne maame.
And brought his head in a dish, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.
29 Ɛberɛ a Yohane asuafoɔ no tee deɛ asi no, wɔbɛfaa nʼamu no kɔsiee no wɔ ɔboda bi mu.
And when his disciples heard [of it], they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.
30 Asomafoɔ no sane baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛkaa deɛ wɔyɛeɛ ne deɛ wɔkyerɛkyerɛɛ nnipa a wɔkɔɔ wɔn nkyɛn no nyinaa kyerɛɛ no.
And the apostles assembled themselves to Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
31 Yesu tiee wɔn amaneɛ no wieeɛ no, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Momma yɛntwe yɛn ho mfiri nnipakuo yi ho, na yɛnkɔhome kakra.” Deɛ ɛma ɔkaa saa ne sɛ, na nnipa a wɔba wɔn nkyɛn no to ntwa da. Wɔnnya ɛkwan mpo na wɔadidi.
And he said to them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
32 Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no tenaa kodoɔ mu kɔɔ baabi a obiara nni hɔ.
And they departed into a desert place in a boat privately.
33 Nanso, ɛberɛ a wɔrekɔ no, nnipa pii hunuu wɔn, na wɔtuu mmirika faa mpoano hɔ kɔhyiaa wɔn.
And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran on foot thither out of all cities, and out went them, and came together to him.
34 Yei enti, ɛberɛ a Yesu sii fam no, na nnipakuo ahyia wɔ hɔ. Ɔhunuu wɔn no, ne yam hyehyee no maa wɔn ɛfiri sɛ, na wɔte sɛ nnwan a wɔnni ɔhwɛfoɔ. Ɔkyerɛkyerɛɛ wɔn nneɛma bebree a ɛsɛ sɛ wɔhunu.
And Jesus, when he came out, saw many people, and was moved with compassion towards them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
35 Onwunu reyɛ adwo no, nʼasuafoɔ no baa ne nkyɛn, bɛka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Adeɛ resa. Aduane biara nso nni ha.
And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came to him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time [is] far passed:
36 Ka kyerɛ nnipa no na wɔnkɔ nkuro mu ne nkuraa a atwa yɛn ho ahyia yi ase, na wɔnkɔtɔ aduane bi nni.”
Send them away, that they may go into the country around, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
37 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Momma wɔn aduane nni.” Wɔbisaa no sɛ, “Ansa na yɛbɛtumi ama saa nnipa dodoɔ yi aduane no, ɛsɛ sɛ yɛnya abosome nwɔtwe akatua. Sɛ yɛse yɛbɛma wɔn aduane a, yɛrennya saa nnipakuo yi ho sika!”
He answered and said to them, Give ye them to eat. And they say to him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
38 Yesu bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Burodo ahe na yɛwɔ? Monkɔ na monkɔhwɛ.” Wɔsane ba bɛka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Wɔwɔ burodo enum ne mpataa mmienu.”
He saith to them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
39 Afei, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nnipakuo no sɛ, wɔntenatena ase, na wɔtenatenaa ase akuakuo wɔ ɛserɛ no so.
And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
40 Enti, wɔtenatenaa ase akuakuo a ebi yɛ ɔha na ebi yɛ aduonum.
And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41 Yesu faa burodo enum ne mpataa mmienu no, na ɔhwɛɛ ɔsoro, bɔɔ mpaeɛ, hyiraa so. Ɔbubuu burodo no mu de maa asuafoɔ no sɛ wɔnkyɛ mma nnipa no. Na ɔkyɛɛ mpataa no nso maa wɔn.
And when he had taken the five loaves, and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and broke the loaves, and gave [them] to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes he divided among them all.
42 Nnipa no dii aduane no maa obiara meeɛ!
And they all ate, and were satisfied.
43 Nnipa a wɔdii aduane no bɛyɛ mmarima mpemnum;
And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
44 na wɔtasee aseɛ nkaeɛ no, ɛyɛɛ nkɛntɛmma dumienu.
And they that ate of the loaves, were about five thousand men.
45 Adidie no akyi pɛ, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, wɔnkɔtena kodoɔ no mu, na wɔnni ɛkan nkɔ Betsaida, na ɔregya nnipakuo no ɛkwan na wati wɔn.
And immediately he constrained his disciples to get into the boat, and to go to the other side before to Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
46 Akyire yi, ɔkɔɔ bepɔ no so kɔbɔɔ mpaeɛ.
And when he had dismissed them, he departed to a mountain to pray.
47 Anadwo no a asuafoɔ no te kodoɔ mu aduru nsuo no mfimfini no, na Yesu nko ara na ɔwɔ mpoano.
And when evening was come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
48 Ɔhunuu sɛ na wɔn ho akyere wɔn; ɛne sɛ, mframa a ano yɛ den ne asorɔkye bɔ dweradweraa kodoɔ no, enti na wɔrebrɛ ɔkodoɔ no hare mu. Anɔpahema bɛyɛ sɛ nnɔnmiɛnsa berɛ mu no, ɔnantee nsuo no ani baa wɔn nkyɛn. Ɔyɛɛ sɛ ɔretwa wɔn ho.
And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary to them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh to them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
49 Ɛberɛ a asuafoɔ no hunuu obi sɛ ɔnam nsuo no ani no, wɔde ehu teateaam ɛfiri sɛ, na wɔsusu sɛ wɔahunu ɔsaman.
But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out.
50 Wɔn nyinaa hunuu no. Ɛhɔ ara, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Momma mo bo ntɔ mo yam. Ɛyɛ me! Monnsuro!”
(For they all saw him, and were troubled.) And immediately he talked with them, and saith to them, Be of good cheer: It is I; be not afraid.
51 Afei, ɔkɔɔ wɔn nkyɛn wɔ kodoɔ no mu no, mframa no gyaeeɛ! Asuafoɔ no ho dwirii wɔn,
And he went up to them into the boat; and the wind ceased: and they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
52 ɛfiri sɛ, na wɔnnte aduanema no ase, na wɔapirim wɔn akoma.
For they considered not [the miracle] of the loaves; for their heart was hardened.
53 Wɔtwaa asuo no baa Genesaret na wɔduruu hɔ no, wɔde kodoɔ no baa mpoano.
And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.
54 Na wɔsi firii kodoɔ no mu no, nnipa a wɔgyina hɔ no hunuu no.
And when they had come out of the boat forthwith they knew him,
55 Wɔtuu mmirika kyinii nkuro a atwa hɔ ahyia no nyinaa so soaa nnipa a wɔyare da wɔn kɛtɛ so brɛɛ no wɔ baabiara a wɔtee sɛ ɔwɔ.
And ran through that whole region around, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.
56 Na nkuraa ase anaa nkuro so baabiara a ɔkɔreɛ no, wɔde ayarefoɔ bɛguu mmɔntene so, srɛɛ no sɛ, ɔmma wɔmfa wɔn nsa nka nʼatadeɛ ano kɛkɛ. Ayarefoɔ dodoɔ a wɔtumi de wɔn nsa kaa nʼatadeɛ ano no ho yɛɛ wɔn den.
And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch, if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him, were healed.
