Marko 5
1 Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ bɛduruu ɛpo no fa baabi wɔ Gerasefoɔ asase so.
And they came over to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 Ɔresi afiri kodoɔ no mu no, ɔbarima bi a honhommɔne wɔ ne mu de mmirika firi amusieeɛ bɛhyiaa no.
And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Na saa ɔbarima yi te amusieeɛ hɔ.
Who had [his] dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Ɔyɛ obi a na ne ho yɛ den yie enti, sɛ wɔde nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn mpo gu ne nsa a, ɔtumi bubu mu a obiara ntumi nkɔ nʼanim.
For he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any [man] tame him.
5 Anadwo ne awia nyinaa na ɔnenam amusieeɛ hɔ mmepɔ no mu a, ɔde aboɔ a ano yɛ nam twitwa ne ho.
And always, night and day, he was on the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 Ɔbarima yi hunuu Yesu wɔ akyirikyiri no, ɔtuu mmirika, bɛbuu no nkotodwe.
But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped him,
7 Ɔteateaam sɛ, “Yesu, Ɔsorosoro Onyankopɔn no Ba, ɛdeɛn na wowɔ ne me yɛ? Mesrɛ wo, ɛnyɛ me ayayadeɛ biara!”
And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, [thou] Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 Yesu tiaa honhommɔne a ɛwɔ ɔbarima no mu no sɛ, “Honhommɔne, firi ne mu fi!”
(For he said to him, Come out of the man, [thou] unclean spirit.)
9 Yesu bisaa no sɛ, “Wɔfrɛ wo sɛn?” Ɔbuaa Yesu sɛ, “Me din de ‘Ɛdɔm’ ɛfiri sɛ, yɛdɔɔso.”
And he asked him, What [is] thy name? And he answered, saying, My name [is] Legion: for we are many.
10 Afei, ɔsrɛɛ Yesu anibereɛ so sɛ ɔmmpam wɔn nkɔ akyirikyiri.
And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Saa ɛberɛ no, na mprakokuo bi redidi wɔ bepɔ no nkyɛn baabi a ɛbɛn ɛpo no.
Now there was there nigh to the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 Enti, ahonhommɔne no srɛɛ Yesu sɛ, “Tu yɛn na yɛnkɔhyɛ mprako no mu.”
And all the demons besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 Yesu maa wɔn ho ɛkwan ma wɔkɔhyɛɛ mprako no mu. Mprako no de ahoɔherɛ sianee bepɔ no kɔguu ɛpo no mu ma ɛfaa wɔn.
And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea.
14 Mprakohwɛfoɔ no dwane baa nkuro a ɛbɛn hɔ no mu bɛkaa deɛ wɔahunu no kyerɛɛ wɔn. Wɔn a wɔteeɛ no kɔhwɛɛ deɛ asie no.
And they that fed the swine fled, and told [it] in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 Nnipakuo no duruu baabi a Yesu wɔ no, wɔhunuu ɔbarima a na honhommɔne ahyɛ no ma no sɛ ɔte hɔ dinn a nʼadwenem ate no. Yei maa wɔn ho dwirii wɔn.
And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the demon, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16 Wɔn a wɔhunuu asɛm a asi no ka kyerɛɛ afoforɔ,
And they that saw [it] told them how it befell him that was possessed with the demon, and [also] concerning the swine.
17 maa nnipakuo no srɛɛ Yesu sɛ, ɔmfiri wɔn nkyɛn nkɔ, na wɔn ho ntɔ wɔn!
And they began to pray him to depart out of their borders.
18 Enti, ɔsane foro kɔtenaa kodoɔ no mu. Ɔbarima a na honhommɔne wɔ ne mu no srɛɛ Yesu sɛ ɔpɛ sɛ ɔne no kɔ.
And when he had come into the boat, he that had been possessed with the demon prayed him that he might be with him.
19 Nanso, Yesu kaa sɛ, “Dabi, na kɔ na kɔka anwanwadeɛ a Onyankopɔn ayɛ ama wo yi ne nʼahummɔborɔ ho asɛm kyerɛ wʼabusuafoɔ.”
Yet Jesus suffered him not, but saith to him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
20 Enti, ɔbarima no firi hɔ kɔɔ Dekapoli, “Nkuro Edu” no a, ɛwɔ saa ɔmantam no mu, kɔkaa anwanwadeɛ a Yesu ayɛ ama no no kyerɛɛ obiara. Wɔtee asɛm no, wɔn ho dwirii wɔn.
And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him. And all [men] wondered.
21 Yesu de kodoɔ no tware baa ɛpo no fa baabi no, nnipakuo bɛtwaa ne ho hyiaa wɔ mpoano hɔ.
And when Jesus had passed over again in a boat to the other side, much people gathered to him: and he was nigh to the sea.
22 Asafopanin bi a na ɔwɔ hɔ a wɔfrɛ no Yairo no, buu Yesu nkotodwe,
And behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 srɛɛ no sɛ, ɔnsa ne babaa yadeɛ mma no. Ɔfiri ahoyera mu ka kyerɛɛ Yesu sɛ, “Abɔfra no rewu, enti mesrɛ wo sɛ, fa wo nsa bɛka no na ɔnnya nkwa.”
And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: [I pray thee], come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she will live.
24 Yesu ne no kɔeɛ a nnipakuo no di wɔn akyi.
And [Jesus] went with him; and many people followed him, and thronged him.
25 Na ɔbaa bi a watu mogya mfirinhyia dumienu ka nnipakuo no ho.
And a certain woman who had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 Ɔde ne yadeɛ no akyin ayaresafoɔ bebree so, atua sika bebree ama wayɛ ohiani, nanso na ne ho ntɔ no ara.
And had suffered many things from many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was not relieved, but rather grew worse,
27 Na wate anwanwadeɛ a Yesu ayɛ no nyinaa, na ɛno enti ɔde ne ho fraa nnipakuo no, firii Yesu akyi sɔɔ nʼatadeɛ ano.
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
28 Ɔdwenee ho kaa sɛ, “Sɛ metumi nya ne ho ɛkwan, de me nsa sɔ nʼatadeɛ mu kɛkɛ a, me ho bɛtɔ me.”
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 Ampa ara, ɛsɔ a ɔsɔɔ nʼatadeɛ no mu pɛ, na mogya no twa maa ne ho tɔɔ no!
And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in [her] body that she was healed of that infirmity.
30 Amonom hɔ ara, Yesu tee nka sɛ tumi bi afiri ne mu. Ɔdanee ne ho kyerɛɛ nnipakuo no bisaa sɛ, “Hwan na ɔsɔɔ mʼatadeɛ mu no?”
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the throng, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 Nʼasuafoɔ no buaa sɛ, “Saa nnipakuo a obiara de ne ho twitwiri ne yɔnko yi na worebisa sɛ, ‘Hwan na ɔde ne nsa aka mʼatadeɛ?’”
And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 Nanso, ɔpɛɛ sɛ ɔhunu onipa ko a ɔsɔɔ nʼatadeɛ mu no.
And he looked around, to see her that had done this thing.
33 Ɛberɛ a ɔbaa no hunuu asɛm a asie no, ɔde ahopopoɔ bɛbuu Yesu nkotodwe kaa deɛ ɔyɛeɛ no kyerɛɛ no.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ɔbabaa, wo gyidie ama wo ho atɔ wo; fa asomdwoeɛ kɔ; wo yadeɛ no agyae.”
And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be healed of thy infirmity.
35 Ɔgu so rekasa kyerɛ ɔbaa no no, abɔfoɔ firi Yairo efie bɛbɔɔ amaneɛ sɛ, Yairo babaa no awu, enti ɛho nhia sɛ Yesu bɛba bio.
While he was yet speaking, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's [house certain] who said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36 Yesu antie deɛ na wɔreka no koraa, na ɔka kyerɛɛ Yairo sɛ, “Nsuro, gye di ara.”
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe,
37 Afei, Yesu amma obiara anni nʼakyi ankɔ Yairo efie hɔ gye Petro, Yakobo ne Yohane.
And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 Ɛberɛ a Yesu duruu hɔ no, ɔhunuu sɛ ɛhɔ nyinaa ayɛ manyamanya a nnipa retwa agyaadwoɔ.
And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 Ɔkɔɔ efie no mu ne wɔn a wɔwɔ hɔ no kɔkasaeɛ. Ɔbisaa wɔn sɛ, “Adɛn ne agyaadwotwa ne gyegyeegye yi? Abɔfra no nwuiɛ; nna na wada!”
And when he had come in, he saith to them, Why make ye this tumult, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 Wɔn a wɔwɔ hɔ no tee asɛm a Yesu kae no, wɔseree no. Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn a wɔwɔ efie hɔ no sɛ, wɔn nyinaa mfiri adi. Ɔne abɔfra no agya ne ne maame ne nʼasuafoɔ baasa no kɔɔ deɛ abɔfra no da hɔ.
And they derided him: but when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
41 Ɔsɔɔ abɔfra no nsa kaa sɛ, “Talita, Kumm!” a aseɛ ne sɛ “Abaayewa, mese wo sɛ sɔre!”
And he took the damsel by the hand, and said to her, Talitha cumi: which is, being interpreted, Damsel (I say to thee) arise.
42 Amonom hɔ ara, abaayewa no sɔreeɛ, na ɔfiri aseɛ nanteeɛ. Na saa abaayewa no adi mfeɛ dumienu. Asɛm a ɛsiiɛ yi maa wɔn ho dwirii wɔn yie.
And forthwith the damsel arose, and walked; for she was [of the age] of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 Yesu bɔɔ wɔn ano sɛ wɔnnka asɛm a asie no nkyerɛ obiara, na mmom, wɔmma abɔfra no aduane nni.
And he charged them strictly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
