< Luka 11 >

Ɔwieeɛ no, nʼasuafoɔ no mu baako ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Awurade, kyerɛ yɛn mpaeɛbɔ, sɛdeɛ Yohane kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ mpaeɛbɔ no.”
It happened, that when he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples."
2 Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Sɛ morebɔ mpaeɛ a, monka sɛ, “‘Agya, wo din ho nte, wʼahennie mmra.
So he said to them, "When you pray, say, 'Our Father in heaven, holy be your name. May your kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
3 Ma yɛn yɛn daa aduane ɛnnɛ.
Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 Fa yɛn bɔne kyɛ yɛn sɛdeɛ yɛde wɔn a wɔfom yɛn no bɔne kyɛ wɔn no. Na mma yɛnkɔ sɔhwɛ mu.’”
And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.'"
5 Yesu bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Mo mu hwan na ɔbɛkɔ ne yɔnko hɔ dasuo mu akɔka akyerɛ no sɛ, ‘Me nua, fɛm me aduane kakra,
He said to them, "Which of you, if you go to a friend at midnight, and tell him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
6 ɛfiri sɛ, ɔhɔhoɔ bi abɛfu me mu, na menni aduane biara a mede bɛma no,’
for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,'
7 na ɔbɛma no mmuaeɛ afiri ne dan mu sɛ, ‘Nha me! Mato me ɛpono mu ne me mma ada. Merentumi nsɔre mma wo biribiara.’
and he from within will answer and say, 'Do not bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I cannot get up and give it to you'?
8 Mereka akyerɛ mo sɛ, na ade asa no enti, ɔyɛ ne yɔnko koraa mpo a, ɔrensɔre. Nanso, ɛsiane sɛ ɔkɔɔ so srɛɛ no no enti, ɛbɛma wasɔre ama no deɛ ɛhia no no nyinaa.
I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs.
"I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you.
10 Na obiara a ɔbisa no, wɔma no; na obiara a ɔhwehwɛ no, ɔhunu; na deɛ ɔpem no, wɔbue no.
For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
11 “Agya bɛn na ɔwɔ mo mu na ne ba bisa no burodo a ɔbɛma no ɛboɔ,
"Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, he won't give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?
12 anaasɛ ɔbisa no apataa a, ɔbɛma no ɔwɔ, anaasɛ ɔbisa nkosua a ɔbɛma no nyanyankyerɛ?
Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
13 Na sɛ mo a moyɛ nnebɔneyɛfoɔ mpo nim sɛdeɛ moma mo mma nnepa a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na mo Agya a ɔwɔ ɔsoro no remfa Honhom Kronkron no mma wɔn a wɔbisa no no!”
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"
Honhommɔne no tu firii ne mu no, ɔkasaeɛ ma ɛyɛɛ nnipa a na wɔwɔ hɔ no nyinaa ahodwirie.
He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. It happened, when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds were amazed.
But some of them said, "He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons."
16 Afoforɔ nso pɛɛ sɛ wɔsɔ no hwɛ enti, wɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, ɔnyɛ nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ bi a ɛfiri ɔsoro nkyerɛ wɔn.
Others, testing him, sought from him a sign from heaven.
17 Nanso, ɔhunuu wɔn adwene maa wɔn mmuaeɛ sɛ, “Kuro biara a emu akyekyɛ no dane amamfo. Saa ara nso na efie biara a emu kyekyɛ no guo.
But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. A house divided against itself falls.
If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.
But if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore will they be your judges.
But if I by the finger of God cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come to you.
21 “Sɛ ɔhoɔdenfoɔ de akodeɛ wɛn ne fie a, obiara rentumi nkɔwia nʼagyapadeɛ;
"When the strong man, fully armed, guards his own dwelling, his goods are safe.
22 nanso, sɛ deɛ ne ho yɛ den na ɔwɔ akodeɛ pa sene no kɔ ne so a, ɔdi ne so nkonim, gye nʼakodeɛ a ɔde ne ho too so no, sesa nʼagyapadeɛ no nyinaa kɔ.
But when someone stronger attacks him and overcomes him, he takes from him his whole armor in which he trusted, and divides up his plunder.
23 “Obiara a ɔnni mʼafa no tia me, na deɛ ɔne me mmoaboa ano no, hwete mu.
"He that is not with me is against me. He who does not gather with me scatters.
The unclean spirit, when he has gone out of the person, passes through dry places, seeking rest, and finding none, he says, 'I will turn back to my house from which I came out.'
25 Na sɛ ɔsane kɔ onipa no mu a, ɔbɛhunu sɛ ɛhɔ te a ɛfi biara nni mu na biribiara yɛ pɛpɛɛpɛ.
When he returns, he finds it swept and put in order.
26 Afei, ɔsane nʼakyi kɔfa ahonhommɔne afoforɔ nson a wɔyɛ den kyɛn no ba ma wɔn nyinaa bɛtena hɔ. Yei ma onipa no sɛe koraa sene sɛdeɛ anka na ɔte kane no.”
Then he goes, and takes seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that person becomes worse than the first."
27 Yesu gu so rekasa no, ɔbaa bi firi nnipakuo no mu kaa sɛ, “Nhyira nka yafunu a ɛwoo wo ne nufoɔ a wonumuu ano!”
It came to pass, as he said these things, a certain woman out of the crowd lifted up her voice, and said to him, "Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts which nursed you."
28 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ɛwom deɛ, nanso nhyira ne wɔn a wɔte Onyankopɔn asɛm na wɔdi so.”
But he said, "On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it."
29 Nnipa no kyeree Yesu so no, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Nnɛmma yi yɛ nnebɔneyɛfoɔ. Wɔhwehwɛ nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ bi ahunu nanso wɔrenhunu nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ biara sɛ Yona nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ no.
When the crowds were gathering together to him, he began to say, "This generation is an evil generation. It seeks after a sign. No sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah.
30 Na sɛdeɛ Yona yɛeɛ no yɛɛ nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ maa Ninewefoɔ a, saa ara na Kristo nso bɛyɛ nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ ama nnɛmma yi.
For even as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will also the Son of Man be to this generation.
31 Atemmuo da no, Seba Ɔhemmaa bɛsɔre atia ɔman yi, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔfiri asase ano nohoa bɛtiee Salomo nyansa nsɛm. Nanso, deɛ ɔsene Salomo no wɔ ha.
The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with the people of this generation, and will condemn them: for she came from a distant land to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and look, one greater than Solomon is here.
32 Atemmuo da no, Ninewe mmarima bɛsɔre atia nnɛmma yi na wɔabu mo fɔ ɛfiri sɛ, ɛberɛ a Yona kaa asɛmpa no, wɔnuu wɔn ho. Nanso, deɛ ɔsene Yona wɔ ha.
The people of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and look, one greater than Jonah is here.
33 “Obiara nsɔ kanea mfa nsie, na mmom, ɔde si petee mu na ahyerɛn ama wɔn a wɔba mu no nyinaa.
"No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, that those who come in may see the light.
34 Wʼani yɛ wo onipadua kanea. Ɛno enti, sɛ wʼani yɛ a, na wo onipadua nso yɛ hann. Nanso, sɛ ɛnyɛ a, ɛma wo onipadua no dane sum tumm.
The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness.
35 Enti hwɛ yie na hann a ɛwɔ wo mu no annane sum.
Therefore see whether the light that is in you is not darkness.
36 Sɛ wo onipadua yɛ hann a esum nni fa baabiara a, onipadua no bɛhyerɛn sɛdeɛ kanea hyerɛn gu wo so.”
If therefore your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining gives you light."
37 Yesu kasa wieeɛ no, Farisini bi hyiaa no adidie enti ɔkɔeɛ sɛ ɔne no rekɔdidi.
Now as he spoke, a Pharisee asked him to dine with him. He went in, and sat at the table.
38 Farisini no hunuu sɛ Yesu anhohoro ne nsa ansa sɛdeɛ wɔn amanneɛ kyerɛ ansa na ɔredidi no, ɛyɛɛ no nwanwa.
When the Pharisee saw it, he was surprised that he had not first washed himself before dinner.
39 Yesu hunuu Farisini no adwene ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Mo Farisifoɔ deɛ, mohohoro nkukuo ne nwowaa ho, nanso efi, anibereɛ ne nnebɔne ahyɛ mo ma tɔ!
The Lord said to him, "Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but your inward part is full of extortion and wickedness.
40 Adwenemherɛfoɔ! Ɛnyɛ deɛ ɔyɛɛ akyire no ara na ɔyɛɛ emu nso?
You foolish ones, did not he who made the outside make the inside also?
But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and see, all things will be clean to you.
42 “Mo Farisifoɔ, monnue! Moma mo nnɔbaeɛ so ntotosoɔ dudu, nanso mototo adeteneneeyɛ ne ɔdɔ a mode dɔ Onyankopɔn no ase. Sɛ mokɔ hyiadan mu a, mpanin tenaberɛ na mopɛ. Saa ara nso na sɛ mokɔ badwa mu a, mopɛ sɛ nnipa hunu mo kyea mo.
But woe to you Pharisees. For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but you bypass justice and the love of God. You ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.
43 “Mo Farisifoɔ, monnue! Sɛ mokɔ hyiadan mu a, mpanin tenaberɛ na mopɛ.
Woe to you Pharisees. For you love the best seats in the synagogues, and the greetings in the marketplaces.
44 “Monnue! Ɛfiri sɛ, mote sɛ adamena a ɛso asram na nnipa nante so a wɔnnim sɛ wɔnam adamena so.”
Woe to you. For you are like hidden graves, and the people who walk over them do not know it."
45 Mmaranimfoɔ no mu baako ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, sɛ woka saa a na woakasa atia yɛn nso.”
One of the Law scholars answered him, "Teacher, in saying this you insult us also."
46 Yesu buaa no sɛ, “Mo mmaranimfoɔ nso, monnue! Mohyɛ mmara a ɛyɛ den ma nnipa, nanso mo deɛ, monni so sɛ sɛdeɛ ɛsɛ.
He said, "Woe to you Law scholars also. For you load people with burdens that are difficult to carry, and you yourselves won't even lift one finger to help carry those burdens.
47 “Monnue! Ɛfiri sɛ, moatoto adiyifoɔ a mo ankasa anaa mo agyanom kumm wɔn no nna so.
Woe to you. For you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48 Mo nneyɛeɛ yi di adanseɛ sɛ mopene deɛ mo agyanom yɛeɛ no so.
So you are witnesses and consent to the works of your fathers. For they killed them, and you build their tombs.
49 Yei ne deɛ Onyankopɔn aka afa mo ho: ‘Mɛsoma adiyifoɔ ne asomafoɔ aba mo nkyɛn na mobɛkunkum bi na moataa wɔn a aka no.’
Therefore also the wisdom of God said, 'I will send to them prophets and apostles; and some of them they will kill and persecute,
50 Mereka akyerɛ mo sɛ, adiyifoɔ no mogya a wɔka gu firi ewiase ahyɛaseɛ no,

52 “Mo, mmaranimfoɔ, monnue! Mode nokorɛ hinta mo nkurɔfoɔ. Mo ankasa monni so, na mommma wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔdi so no kwan mma wɔnni so.”
Woe to you Law scholars. For you took away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in, you hindered."
53 Ɔfiri Farisini no efie hɔ a ɔrekɔ no, mmaranimfoɔ ne Farisifoɔ no dii nʼakyi de nsɛmmisa dwanee ne ho,
And when he left there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to oppose him bitterly, and to provoke him to speak about many things;
