< Luka 12 >

1 Nnipa mpempem kyeree so a wɔnnya baabi ntu wɔn nan nsi mpo no, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no kane sɛ, “Monhwɛ mo ho so yie wɔ Farisifoɔ nyaatwom a ɛte sɛ mmɔreka no ho.
Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered together, so much so that they trampled on each other, he began to tell his disciples first of all, "Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 Biribiara a wɔyɛ no kɔkoam no bɛda adi na deɛ ahinta no nso bɛpue.
But there is nothing covered up, that will not be revealed, nor hidden, that will not be known.
3 Enti, deɛ moaka wɔ sum mu no, wɔbɛte wɔ hann mu. Na deɛ moaka no asomusɛm wɔ adan mu no, wɔbɛbɔ no dawuro.
Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers will be proclaimed on the housetops.
4 “Me nnamfonom, mereka akyerɛ mo sɛ, monnsuro wɔn a wɔkum onipadua na ɛno akyi wɔntumi nyɛ hwee bio no.
"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 Na mɛkyerɛ mo deɛ ɛsɛ sɛ mosuro no. Monsuro deɛ wakum onipadua no awie no, ɔwɔ tumi sɛ ɔto twene amanehunu kurom. Mereti mu akyerɛ mo sɛ, yei na monsuro no. (Geenna g1067)
But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him, who after he has killed, has power to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. (Geenna g1067)
6 Wɔntɔn akasanoma enum nnye sika bi pɛ? Nanso, Onyankopɔn werɛ remfi wɔn mu baako po da.
"Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God.
7 Mo tirinwi mpo, wɔakan ne nyinaa. Enti, monnsuro, ɛfiri sɛ, mosom bo sene akasanoma dodo biara.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore do not be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
8 “Na mereka akyerɛ mo sɛ, obiara a ɔbɛbɔ me din wɔ nnipa anim no, Kristo no nso bɛbɔ ne din wɔ Onyankopɔn abɔfoɔ anim.
"I tell you, everyone who confesses me before people, him will the Son of Man also confess before the angels of God;
9 Na deɛ ɔbɛpa me nnipa anim no, me nso mɛpa no, Onyankopɔn abɔfoɔ anim.
but the one who denies me in the presence of people will be denied in the presence of the angels of God.
10 Obiara a ɔbɛkasa atia Kristo no, wɔde bɛkyɛ no. Nanso deɛ ɔbɛkasa atia Honhom Kronkron no deɛ, wɔremfa nkyɛ no da.
Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but those who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
11 “Sɛ wɔde mo ba mpanin anim wɔ hyia adan mu a, monnnwennwene nsɛm a mobɛka anaasɛ deɛ mode bɛyi mo ho ano no ho,
When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you will answer, or what you will say;
12 Ɛfiri sɛ, saa ɛberɛ no ara mu Honhom Kronkron no bɛkyerɛ mo deɛ ɛsɛ sɛ moka.”
for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say."
13 Obi firi nnipa no mu ka kyerɛɛ Yesu sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, ka kyerɛ me nua na ɔne me nkyɛ agyapadeɛ a yɛn agya de agya yɛn no mu.”
And someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me."
14 Yesu buaa no sɛ, “Damfo, hwan na ɔyɛɛ me mo so ɔtemmufoɔ ne ɔsɛnnifoɔ?”
But he said to him, "Man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?"
15 Ɔtoaa so sɛ, “Monhwɛ mo ho yie wɔ adifudepɛ ho, ɛfiri sɛ, onipa nkwa nnyina nʼahonya dodoɔ a ɔwɔ so.”
He said to them, "Beware. Keep yourselves from all covetousness, for a man's life does not consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses."
16 Afei, ɔbuu wɔn bɛ yi sɛ, “Ɔdefoɔ bi wɔ hɔ a na ɔwɔ asase pa a ɛmaa no nnɔbaeɛ pii.
He spoke a parable to them, saying, "The ground of a certain rich man brought forth abundantly.
17 Esiane sɛ na ne nnɔbaeɛ no nkɔ pata a wabɔ no so enti, ɛyɛɛ no dadwene ma ɔbisaa ne ho sɛ, ‘Mennya baabi a mede me nnɔbaeɛ bebrebe yi bɛgu yi, menyɛ no dɛn?’
He reasoned within himself, saying, 'What will I do, because I do not have room to store my crops?'
18 “Afei, ɔkaa sɛ, ‘Monim deɛ mɛyɛ. Mɛbubu mʼapata yi nyinaa na mabɔ no akɛseɛ de deɛ mewɔ nyinaa asie hɔ.
He said, 'This is what I will do. I will pull down my barns, and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
19 Na maka akyerɛ me kra sɛ, “Ɔkra, ma wʼani nnye na didi, na nom ɛfiri sɛ, wowɔ nneɛma pa pii a ɛbɛso wo mfeɛ bebree!”’
I will tell my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, be merry."'
20 “Nanso, Onyankopɔn ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, ‘Ɔkwasea! Anadwo yi, wɔbɛgye wo kra afiri wo nsam, na hwan na nneɛma bebree a woapɛ agu hɔ yi, wode bɛgya no?’
"But God said to him, 'You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared—whose will they be?'
21 “Ɛno enti, saa ara na obiara a ɔbɛboaboa agyapadeɛ ano de ne ho ato so no nyɛ ɔdefoɔ Onyankopɔn anim ne no.”
So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."
22 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Monnnwennwene deɛ mobɛdi anaa deɛ mobɛfira ho.
He said to his disciples, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear.
23 Ɔkra som bo sene aduane na onipadua nso som bo sene ntoma.
Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
24 Monhwɛ kwaakwaadabi, wɔnnua aba ɛnna wɔntwa. Saa ara nso na wɔnni pata a wɔde wɔn nnɔbaeɛ sie so, nanso Onyankopɔn ma wɔn aduane di. Monsom bo nsene wɔn anaa?
Consider the ravens: they do not sow, they do not reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds.
25 Mo mu hwan na adwene a ɔdwen no bɛtumi ato ne nkwa nna so simasin?
Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height?
26 Na sɛ montumi nyɛ ade ketewaa a ɛte sei mpo a, adɛn na modwennwene nneɛma akɛseɛ ho?
If then you are not able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?
27 “Monhwɛ sɛdeɛ sukooko nyini. Wɔnyɛ adwuma, ɛnna wɔnnwono ntoma mfira. Nanso, Salomo ahonya nyinaa mu, na ɔnni ntoma a ɛyɛ fɛ sɛ saa nhwiren no mu baako mpo.
Consider the lilies, how they grow. They do not toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 Mo a mo gyidie hinhim, sɛ Onyankopɔn siesie wiram nhwiren a ɛfifiri ɛnnɛ na ɔkyena awu no ho ma ɛyɛ fɛ a, adɛn enti na ɔrensiesie mo nso mo ho mma ɛnyɛ fɛ.
But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?
29 Saa ara nso na monnnwennwene deɛ mobɛdi anaa deɛ mobɛnom ho.
Do not seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.
30 Saa nneɛma yi na ewiase amanaman pere hwehwɛ, nanso mo deɛ, mo agya nim sɛ yeinom nyinaa ho hia mo.
For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things.
31 Enti, monhwehwɛ Onyankopɔn Ahennie kane na ɔde yeinom nyinaa bɛma mo.
But seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.
32 “Ekuo ketewa, monnsuro, ɛfiri sɛ, ɛyɛ mo agya no pɛ sɛ ɔde ahennie no bɛma mo.
Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33 Montontɔn mo ahodeɛ na monkyɛ ahiafoɔ adeɛ. Yei bɛma mo agyapadeɛ a ɛwɔ ɔsoro no ayɛ pii. Monhyehyɛ mo agyapadeɛ wɔ ɔsoro, deɛ owifoɔ ntumi nkɔwia na ntɛferɛ ntumi nkɔwe.
Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys.
34 Na deɛ wʼagyapadeɛ wɔ no, ɛhɔ na wʼakoma nso wɔ.”
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 “Monnyina pintinn na momma mo nkanea nhyerɛn,
"Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning.
36 na monyɛ sɛ wɔn a wɔretwɛn wɔn wura a ɔkɔ ayeforɔhyia ase a, sɛ ɔba na ɔbɔ ɛpono mu pɛ a, wɔbɛbue no ntɛm no.
Be like people watching for their lord, when he returns from the marriage feast; that, when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him.
37 Wɔn a wɔn wura no ba a ɔbɛba abɛto wɔn sɛ wɔretwɛn no no ani bɛgye. Ɔbɛto wɔn ɛpono na ɔno ankasa asom wɔn.
Blessed are those servants, whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, that he will dress himself, and make them recline, and will come and serve them.
38 Sɛ ɔba dasuo mu anaa ahemadakye mpo a, asomfoɔ a ɔbɛba abɛto wɔn sɛ wɔrewɛn no no ani bɛgye.
And if he comes in the second watch, or even in the third, and finds them so, blessed are they.
39 Ɛsɛ sɛ mohunu sɛ, sɛ efiewura nim ɛberɛ a owifoɔ bɛba a, anka ɔbɛwɛn na owifoɔ no annya ne ho ɛkwan ammɛbɔ no korɔno.
But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched and not have allowed his house to be broken into.
40 Enti, monsiesie mo ho ntwɛn Onipa Ba no ba a ɔbɛba no, ɛfiri sɛ, monnim ɛberɛ ko a ɔbɛba.”
Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming in an hour that you do not expect him."
41 Petro bisaa Yesu sɛ, “Awurade, worebu bɛ yi akyerɛ yɛn nko ara anaasɛ obiara?”
And Peter said, "Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everyone?"
The Lord said, "Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right time?
43 Nhyira ne ɔsomfoɔ a ne wura no bɛba abɛto no sɛ wayɛ nʼadwuma pɛpɛɛpɛ.
Blessed is that servant whom his lord will find doing so when he comes.
44 Nokorɛm, ɔde nʼagyapadeɛ nyinaa bɛhyɛ ne nsa.
Truly I tell you, that he will set him over all that he has.
45 Na sɛ ɛba sɛ saa ɔsomfoɔ yi nso ka sɛ, ‘Me wura nnya mmaeɛ’ na ɛno enti, ɔhwe asomfoɔ a aka no, na ɔdidi, nom nsã bo a,
But if that servant says in his heart, 'My lord delays his coming,' and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink, and to be drunk,
46 ne wura no bɛba da a nʼani nna so sɛ ɔbɛba. Na sɛ ne wura no ba a, ɔbɛtwe nʼaso denden na wabu no sɛ obi a ɔnnye Onyankopɔn nni.
then the lord of that servant will come in a day when he is not expecting him, and in an hour that he does not know, and will cut him in two, and place his portion with the unfaithful.
47 “Ɔsomfoɔ a ɔnim deɛ ne wura pɛ, na wanyɛ ne wura no apɛdeɛ no wɔbɛbɔ no mmaa pii.
That servant, who knew his lord's will, and did not prepare, nor do what he wanted, will be beaten with many stripes,
48 Na ɔsomfoɔ a ɔnnim deɛ ne wura pɛ na enti ɔyɛɛ deɛ ne wura mpɛ no, wɔbɛbɔ no mmaa kakraa bi. Na obiara a wɔama no pii no, wɔbɛbisa pii afiri ne nkyɛn; na deɛ wɔde bebree ahyɛ ne nsa no, ɔbɛbu bebree ho nkonta.”
but he who did not know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.
49 “Maba sɛ merebɛsɔ ogya wɔ asase so na sɛ asɔ dada a, na deɛ merehwehwɛ ara ne no.
"I came to throw fire on the earth. I wish it were already kindled.
50 Asubɔ bi wɔ hɔ a wɔde bɛbɔ me a, ɛde me bɛkɔ amanehunu mu, na merennya ahotɔ gye sɛ wɔabɔ me saa asu no ansa.
But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished.
51 Mosusu sɛ mebaeɛ sɛ mede asomdwoeɛ reba asase yi so? Dabi! Ɛnyɛ asomdwoeɛ na mede baeɛ na mmom mpaapaemu.
Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.
52 Ɛfiri ɛnnɛ, mpaapaemu bɛba afie mu, baasa bɛba mʼafa na baanu atia me anaasɛ baanu bɛba mʼafa na baasa atia me.
For from now on, there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 Agya ne ne babarima renyɛ adwene, ɔbabaa ne ne maame renyɛ adwene, ase ne ase adwene renhyia.”
They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."
54 Na ɔka kyerɛɛ nnipakuo no nso sɛ, “Sɛ mohunu sɛ osuo amuna wɔ atɔeɛ a, ntɛm ara, moka sɛ, ‘Osuo bɛtɔ!’ Na osuo tɔ ampa.
He said to the crowds also, "When you see a cloud rising from the west, immediately you say, 'A shower is coming,' and so it happens.
55 Saa ara nso na sɛ mohunu sɛ mframa bɔ firi anafoɔ reba a, moka sɛ, ‘Ahuhuro bɛba!’ Na ɛba mu ampa.
When a south wind blows, you say, 'There will be a scorching heat,' and it happens.
56 Mo nyaatwomfoɔ! Motumi kyerɛ ewiem nsakraeɛ ase, nanso nneɛma a ɛnnɛ yi atwa mo ho ahyia, ne deɛ ɛbɔ mo kɔkɔ no deɛ, monhunu.
Hypocrites. You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not know how to interpret this time?
57 “Adɛn enti na monim deɛ ɛyɛ na monyɛ?
Why do you not judge for yourselves what is right?
58 Sɛ wode obi ka a, bɔ mmɔden kɔhunu no na wone no nka ho asɛm na wamfa wo ankɔ asɛnniiɛ amma ɔtemmufoɔ amfa wo anto afiase.
For when you are going with your adversary before the magistrate, try diligently on the way to be released from him, lest perhaps he drag you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison.
59 Sɛ woanyɛ no saa a, ɔbɛma woatua ka a wode no no nyinaa ansa na wagyaa wo.”
I tell you, you will by no means get out of there, until you have paid the very last penny."
