< Asomafoɔ 11 >

1 Asomafoɔ ne agyidifoɔ a wɔwɔ Yudea nyinaa tee sɛ amanamanmufoɔ no nso agye Onyankopɔn asɛm no adi.
Heard now the apostles and the brothers those being in Judea that also the Gentiles received the word of God.
2 Petro kɔɔ Yerusalem no, Yudafoɔ agyidifoɔ no ne no nyaa akasakasa kaa sɛ,
(and *k*) When (also *no*) went up Peter to (Jerusalem, *N(k)O*) were contending with him those of [the] circumcision
3 “Woakɔ wɔn a wɔnnyɛ twetiatwafoɔ no nkyɛn ne wɔn akɔdidi.”
saying that (You entered *NK(O)*) to men uncircumcision having and (you ate with *NK(O)*) them.
4 Petro bɔɔ wɔn biribiara a ɛsii no ho amaneɛ sɛ,
having begun now (*k*) Peter he was explaining [it] to them in order saying;
I myself was in [the] city of Joppa praying and I saw in a trance a vision descending a vessel certain like a sheet great by four corners being let down out of heaven, and it came down as far as me;
6 Mehwɛɛ mu no, mehunuu ntɔteboa ahodoɔ, mmoa a wɔwea ne wiram nnomaa.
On it having looked intently I was observing [it] and I saw the quadrupeds of the earth and the wild beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the air.
7 Afei, nne bi ka kyerɛɛ me sɛ, ‘Petro! Sɔre! Kum na we!’
I heard then (also *no*) a voice saying to me; Having risen up Peter, do kill and do eat.
8 “Mebuaa sɛ, ‘Dabi, Awurade! Mennii biribiara a ɛho nteɛ da.’
I said however; In no way, Lord; for (every *K*) common or unclean nothing ever has entered into the mouth of mine.
9 “Ɛnne no ka kyerɛɛ me bio sɛ, ‘Biribiara a Onyankopɔn ate ho no, nka sɛ ɛho nte.’
Answered however (to me *k*) [the] voice for a second [time] out of heaven; What God has cleansed, you yourself not do call unholy.
10 Saa anisoadehunu yi baa mprɛnsa, na ɛsane kɔɔ ɔsoro.
This now happened on three times, and was drawn up again all into heaven.
11 “Saa ɛberɛ no ara mu, nnipa baasa a wɔasoma wɔn firi Kaesarea no bɛduruu efie a na mete mu no mu.
and behold immediately three men stood at the house in which (I was *N(k)O*) sent from Caesarea to me.
12 Honhom Kronkron ka kyerɛɛ me sɛ, menntwentwɛn me nan ase na me ne wɔn nkɔ. Saa agyidifoɔ baasa yi a wɔfiri Yopa no kaa me ho kɔɔ Kaesarea maa yɛn nyinaa kɔɔ Kornelio efie.
Told now the Spirit to me to go with them not (having discriminated. *N(k)O*) Went now with me myself also six brothers these, and we entered into the house of the man.
13 Ɔkaa sɛdeɛ ɔhunuu ɔsoro ɔbɔfoɔ wɔ ne fie maa ɔbɔfoɔ no ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, ‘Soma kɔ Yopa kɔfrɛ ɔbarima bi a ne din de Simon Petro no.
He related (then *N(k)O*) to us how he had seen the angel in the house of him having stood and having said (to him: *k*) do send forth to Joppa (men *K*) and do yourself send for Simon who is called Peter,
14 Ɔno na ɔbɛka nsɛm a ɛbɛgye wo ne wo fiefoɔ nyinaa nkwa akyerɛ mo.’
who will speak declarations to you in which will be saved you yourself and all the household of you.
15 “Ɛberɛ a mehyɛɛ aseɛ kasaeɛ no, Honhom Kronkron baa wɔn so sɛdeɛ yɛn nso ahyɛaseɛ no, ɛbaa yɛn so no ara pɛ.
In then beginning me to speak fell the Spirit Holy upon them, even as also upon us in [the] beginning.
16 Ɛhɔ ara mekaee asɛm a Awurade kaa sɛ, ‘Yohane de nsuo na ɛbɔɔ asu na mo de, wɔde Honhom Kronkron na ɛbɛbɔ mo asu’ no.
I remembered then the declaration (of the *no*) Lord, how He was saying: John indeed baptized with water, you yourselves however will be baptized with [the] Spirit Holy.
17 Sɛ Onyankopɔn ama wɔn akyɛdeɛ a ɛberɛ a yɛgyee Awurade Yesu Kristo diiɛ no ɔmaa yɛn bi no a, ɛnneɛ me sɛɛ ne hwan a mɛsi Onyankopɔn kwan.”
If then the same gift has given to them God as also to us having believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, I myself (now *k*) how was able to forbid God?
18 Wɔtee saa asɛm yi no, wɔgyaee wɔn nsɛmmisa no yii Awurade ayɛ sɛ, “Afei, deɛ Onyankopɔn ama ho kwan ama amanamanmufoɔ anya adwensakyera a ɛde wɔn bɛkɔ nkwagyeɛ mu.”
Having heard then these things they were silent and (glorified *N(k)O*) God saying; Then indeed (indeed *k*) also to the Gentiles God repentance unto life has given.
19 Wɔkumm Stefano no, wɔtaa agyidifoɔ no maa wɔbɔ hweteeɛ, Wɔn mu bi kyinkyini kɔduruu Foinike, ne Kipro, ne Antiokia a na wɔreka asɛmpa no kyerɛ Yudafoɔ nko ara.
Those indeed therefore having been scattered by the tribulation having taken place over Stephen passed through until Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch to no one speaking the word only except solely to Jews.
20 Agyidifoɔ bi a wɔfiri Kipro ne Kirene kɔɔ Antiokia kɔkaa asɛmpa a ɛfa Awurade Yesu Kristo ho no kyerɛɛ amanamanmufoɔ no.
Were however some of them men of Cyprus and of Cyrene, who (having come *N(k)O*) into Antioch were speaking (also *no*) to the (Hellenists *NK(o)*) evangelising [about] the Lord Jesus.
21 Esiane sɛ na Awurade ka wɔn ho no enti, nnipa pii gyee asɛm no diiɛ maa wɔdane baa Awurade nkyɛn.
And was [the] hand of [the] Lord with them, [a] great then number (which *no*) having believed turned to the Lord;
22 Saa asɛm yi trɛ kɔduruu Yerusalem asafo no mu enti, wɔsomaa Barnaba kɔɔ Antiokia.
Was heard now the report in the ears of the church which (is being *no*) in (Jerusalem *N(k)O*) concerning them and they sent forth Barnabas (to go *NK*) as far as Antioch;
23 Ɔduruu hɔ a ɔhunuu sɛdeɛ Onyankopɔn ahyira wɔn no, nʼani gyeeɛ maa ɔhyɛɛ wɔn nkuran sɛ, wɔmfiri wɔn akoma nyinaa mu nnye Awurade nni na wɔnni no nokorɛ nso.
who having come and having seen the grace (which [is] *no*) of God he rejoiced and he was exhorting all with resolute purpose of heart to abide (in *o*) the Lord;
24 Esiane sɛ na Barnaba yɛ onipa pa a Honhom Kronkron ahyɛ no ma na ɔwɔ gyidie enti, ɛmaa nnipa bebree nam ne so de wɔn ho maa Awurade.
For he was a man good and full of [the] Spirit Holy and of faith. And was added a crowd large to the Lord.
25 Barnaba kɔɔ Tarso kɔhwehwɛɛ Saulo.
He went forth then to Tarsus (*k*) (Barnabas *K*) to seek Saul,
26 Ɔhunuu no no, ɔde no baa Antiokia. Wɔn baanu tenaa hɔ afe, kyerɛkyerɛɛ nnipa bebree. Antiokia ha na wɔtoo asuafoɔ no din sɛ “Akristofoɔ.”
and having found (him *k*) he brought (him *k*) to Antioch. It came to pass [that] now (they *N(k)O*) also a year whole gathering together in the church and teaching a crowd large, Were calling then (first *N(k)O*) in Antioch the disciples Christians.
27 Saa ɛberɛ korɔ yi ara mu, adiyifoɔ bi firi Yerusalem kɔɔ Antiokia.
In these now days came down from Jerusalem prophets to Antioch;
28 Wɔn mu baako a wɔfrɛ no Agabo a Honhom Kronkron ahyɛ no ma no sɔre gyina hyɛɛ nkɔm sɛ, ɛkɔm kɛseɛ bɛba asase nyinaa so. Saa ɛkɔm yi sii ɛberɛ a na Klaudio di adeɛ no.
Having risen up now one of them named Agabus he signified through the Spirit [that] a famine (great *N(k)O*) to ensue being over all the world — (which *N(k)O*) (also *k*) was in [the time of] Claudius (of Caesar. *K*)
29 Asuafoɔ no yɛɛ adwene sɛ biribiara a obi wɔ no wɔde bɛba na wɔde akɔboa anuanom a wɔwɔ Yudea no.
And the disciples even as was prospered anyone, determined each of them for ministry to send to the dwelling in Judea brothers;
30 Akyɛdeɛ a wɔn nsa kaeɛ no, wɔde somaa Barnaba ne Saulo maa wɔde kɔmaa asafo no mu mpanimfoɔ.
which also they did having sent [it] to the elders through [the] hand of Barnabas and Saul.
