< Efesofo 6 >

1 Mma, muntie mo awofo asɛm wɔ Awurade mu efisɛ saa na eye.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 “Di wʼagya ne wo na ni,” eyi ne mmaransɛm a edi kan a bɔhyɛ ka ho,
Honour thy father and thy mother, (which is the first commandment with promise, )
3 “na asi wo yiye na wo nna nso aware wɔ asase yi so.”
that it may be well with thee, and thou shalt be long-lived upon the earth.
4 Agyanom, monnhyɛ mo mma abufuw. Na mmom montetew wɔn wɔ Awurade nkyerɛkyerɛ mu.
And ye fathers, do not exasperate your children: but educate them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5 Nkoa, momfa obu ne osuro mfi koma pa mu nyɛ osetie mma mo honam fam wuranom, sɛnea mobɛyɛ osetie ama Kristo no ara.
Servants, obey them that are your masters according to the flesh, with reverential fear, in the simplicity of your heart, as unto Christ:
6 Monyɛ osetie mma wɔn, ɛnyɛ sɛ mobɛsɔ wɔn ani wɔ bere a wɔrehwɛ mo nko ara, na mmom monyɛ sɛ Kristo nkoa a mufi mo koma mu reyɛ Onyankopɔn apɛde.
not with eye-service as men-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 Momfa mo koma nyinaa nsom sɛnea moresom Awurade a ɛnyɛ nnipa,
with good-will, as serving the Lord rather than men:
8 efisɛ munim sɛ adwuma pa biara a obi yɛ no, sɛ ɔyɛ ɔsomfo anaa ɔde ne ho no, Awurade betua no so ka.
knowing that whatever good any one doth, he shall receive the reward of it from the Lord, whether He be a slave or free.
9 Awuranom, saa ara na mo nso monyɛ mo asomfo. Munnyae wɔn ahunahuna efisɛ mo ne mo asomfo nyinaa wɔ owura baako a ɔwɔ ɔsoro; na ɔno de, ɔnhwɛ anim.
And ye masters, do the same to them, forbearing threatening: knowing that ye yourselves also have a Master in heaven, and there is no respect of persons with Him.
10 Nea etwa to ne sɛ, monyɛ den wɔ ne tumi kɛse no mu.
Moreover, my brethren, strengthen yourselves in the Lord, and in his mighty power.
11 Monhyɛ Onyankopɔn akode nyinaa na moatumi agyina ɔbonsam nhyehyɛe ano.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil.
For our conflict is not with flesh and blood only, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world and of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places. (aiōn g165)
13 Eyi nti, monhyɛ Onyankopɔn akode nyinaa, na sɛ da bɔne no ba a moatumi agyina, na muwie biribiara a moagyina pintinn.
Take therefore the complete armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.
14 Enti munnyina pintinn na momfa nokware mmɔ mo asen, na monhyɛ trenee nkatabo,
Stand therefore having your loins girt about with truth, and putting on the breast-plate of righteousness:
15 na momfa Asɛmpa no asomdwoe no nhyehyɛ mo anan.
and having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace:
16 Eyinom nyinaa akyi no, momfa gyidi kyɛm, nea mode bedum ɔbɔnefo bɛma a ɛredɛw no.
over all taking the shield of faith, whereby ye will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one:
17 Momfa nkwagye dade kyɛw ne Honhom no afoa a ɛyɛ Onyankopɔn asɛm no.
take also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Mommɔ mpae mmere nyinaa mu wɔ Honhom mu, mpaebɔ ahorow ne nkotosrɛ mu. Eyi nti monna mo ho so, na mommɔ mpae mma ahotefo.
praying at all seasons with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance, and intercession for all the saints;
19 Mommɔ mpae mma me nso na sɛ mibue mʼano a, wɔama me asɛm aka, na matumi akasa akokoduru so ada Asɛmpa no mu ahintasɛm adi.
and for me particularly, that utterance may be given me, that I may open my mouth with freedom, to make known the mystery of the gospel:
20 Mprempren meyɛ ho nanmusini a meda mpokyerɛ mu. Ɛno nti, mommɔ mpae mma me na matumi de akokoduru apae mu aka no sɛnea ɛsɛ sɛ meka no.
for which I am an ambassador though in chains: that I may speak boldly in behalf of it, as I ought to speak.
21 Yɛn nua dɔfo Tihiko a ɔyɛ Awurade adwumayɛ mu somfo nokwafo no bɛka biribiara akyerɛ mo sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a mubehu sɛnea me ho te ne dwuma a meredi.
But that ye also may know my affairs, and what I am doing here, Tychicus a beloved brother, and a faithful minister in the Lord, shall make all known to you: whom I have sent to you,
22 Eyi nti na meresoma no mo nkyɛn, ama moahu sɛnea yɛn ho te, na wahyɛ mo nkuran nso.
for this very end, that ye might know our concerns, and that he may comfort your hearts.
23 Asomdwoe nka anuanom nyinaa, na Agya Nyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo mma mo nokware dɔ.
Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Onyankopɔn adom nka wɔn a wɔdɔ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo daa nyinaa no.
Grace be with all that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
