1 Tanrı'nın Antlaşma Sandığı'nı getirip Davut'un bu amaçla kurduğu çadırın içine koydular. Tanrı'ya yakmalık sunular ve esenlik sunuları sundular.
And they bring in the Ark of God, and set it up in the midst of the tent that David has stretched out for it, and they bring burnt-offerings and peace-offerings near before God;
2 Davut yakmalık sunuları ve esenlik sunularını sunmayı bitirince, RAB'bin adıyla halkı kutsadı.
and David ceases from offering the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings, and blesses the people in the Name of YHWH,
3 Ardından erkek, kadın her İsrailli'ye birer somun ekmekle birer hurma ve üzüm pestili dağıttı.
and gives a portion to every man of Israel, both man and woman: to each a cake of bread, and a measure of wine, and a grape-cake.
4 RAB'bin Antlaşma Sandığı önünde hizmet etmek, İsrail'in Tanrısı RAB'bi anmak, O'na şükretmek ve övgüler sunmak için bazı Levililer'i atadı.
And he puts before the Ark of YHWH, those ministering from the Levites, even to make mention of, and to thank, and to give praise to YHWH, God of Israel:

Asaph the head, and his second Zechariah; Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, with instruments of psalteries, and with harps; and Asaph is sounding with cymbals;
6 Kâhin Benaya ile Yahaziel de Tanrı'nın Antlaşma Sandığı önünde sürekli borazan çalacaklardı.
and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests [are] continually [sounding] with trumpets before the Ark of the Covenant of God.
7 O gün Davut RAB'be şükretme işini ilk kez Asaf'la kardeşlerine verdi.
On that day, at that time, David has given at the beginning to give thanks to YHWH by the hand of Asaph and his brothers:
8 RAB'be şükredin, O'nu adıyla çağırın, Halklara duyurun yaptıklarını!
“Give thanks to YHWH, call on His Name, Make His doings known among the peoples.
9 O'nu ezgilerle, ilahilerle övün, Bütün harikalarını anlatın!
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him, Meditate on all His wonders.
10 Kutsal adıyla övünün, Sevinsin RAB'be yönelenler!
Boast yourselves in His Holy Name, The heart of those seeking YHWH rejoices.
11 RAB'be ve O'nun gücüne bakın, Durmadan O'nun yüzünü arayın!
Seek YHWH and His strength, Seek His face continually.
12 Ey sizler, kulu İsrail'in soyu, Seçtiği Yakupoğulları, O'nun yaptığı harikaları, Olağanüstü işlerini Ve ağzından çıkan yargıları anımsayın!
Remember His wonders that He did, His signs, and the judgments of His mouth,
O seed of Israel, His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!
14 Tanrımız RAB O'dur, Yargıları bütün yeryüzünü kapsar.
He [is] our God YHWH, His judgments [are] in all the earth.
15 O'nun antlaşmasını, Bin kuşak için verdiği sözü, İbrahim'le yaptığı antlaşmayı, İshak için içtiği andı sonsuza dek anımsayın.
Remember His covenant for all time, The word He commanded—To one thousand generations,
Which He has made with Abraham, And His oath—to Isaac,
17 “Hakkınıza düşen mülk olarak Kenan ülkesini size vereceğim” diyerek, Bunu Yakup için bir kural, İsrail'le sonsuza dek geçerli bir antlaşma yaptı.
And He establishes it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel [for] a perpetual covenant,
Saying, To you I give the land of Canaan, The portion of your inheritance,
19 O zaman bir avuç insandınız, Sayıca az ve ülkeye yabancıydınız.
When you were few in number, As a little thing, and sojourners in it.
20 Bir ulustan öbürüne, Bir ülkeden ötekine dolaşıp durdular.
And they go up and down, From nation to nation, And from a kingdom to another people.
21 RAB kimsenin onları ezmesine izin vermedi, Onlar için kralları bile payladı:
He has not permitted any to oppress them, And reproves kings on their account:
22 “Meshettiklerime dokunmayın, Peygamberlerime kötülük etmeyin!” dedi.
Do not come against My anointed ones, And do no evil against My prophets.
23 Ey bütün dünya, ezgiler söyleyin RAB'be! Her gün duyurun kurtarışını!
Sing to YHWH, all the earth, Proclaim His salvation from day to day.
24 Görkemini uluslara, Harikalarını bütün halklara anlatın!
Recount His glory among nations, His wonders among all the peoples.
25 Çünkü RAB uludur, yalnız O övgüye değer, İlahlardan çok O'ndan korkulur.
For great [is] YHWH, and greatly praised, And He [is] fearful above all gods.
26 Halkların bütün ilahları bir hiçtir, Oysa gökleri yaratan RAB'dir.
For all gods of the peoples [are] nothing, And YHWH has made the heavens.
27 Yücelik, ululuk O'nun huzurundadır, Güç ve sevinç O'nun konutundadır.
Splendor and majesty [are] before Him, Strength and joy [are] in His place.
28 Ey bütün halklar, RAB'bi övün, RAB'bin gücünü, yüceliğini övün,
Ascribe to YHWH, you families of peoples, Ascribe to YHWH glory and strength.
29 RAB'bin görkemini adına yaraşır biçimde övün, Sunular getirip O'nun önüne çıkın! Kutsal giysiler içinde RAB'be tapının!
Ascribe to YHWH the glory of His Name, Lift up a present, and come before Him. Bow yourselves to YHWH, In the beauty of holiness.
30 Titreyin O'nun önünde, ey bütün yeryüzündekiler! Dünya sağlam kurulmuş, sarsılmaz.
Be pained before Him, all the earth; Also, the world is established, It is not moved!
31 Sevinsin gökler, coşsun yeryüzü, Uluslar arasında, “RAB egemenlik sürüyor!” densin.
The heavens rejoice, and the earth is glad, And they say among nations, YHWH has reigned!
32 Gürlesin deniz içindekilerle birlikte, Bayram etsin kırlar ve üzerindekiler!
The sea roars, and its fullness, The field exults, and all that [is] in it,
33 O zaman RAB'bin önünde ormanın ağaçları Sevinçle haykıracak. Çünkü O yeryüzünü yargılamaya geliyor.
Then trees of the forest sing, From the presence of YHWH, For He has come to judge the earth!
34 RAB'be şükredin, çünkü O iyidir, Sevgisi sonsuzdur.
Give thanks to YHWH, for [He is] good, For His kindness [is] for all time,
35 Şöyle seslenin: “Kurtar bizi, ey kurtarıcımız Tanrı, Topla bizi, ulusların arasından çıkar. Kutsal adına şükredelim, Yüceliğinle övünelim.
And say, Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us, and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks to Your Holy Name, To triumph in Your praise.
36 İsrail'in Tanrısı RAB'be Öncesizlikten sonsuza dek övgüler olsun!” Bütün halk, “Amin!” diyerek RAB'be övgüler sundu.
Blessed [is] YHWH, God of Israel, From age to age”; And all the people say, “Amen,” and have given praise to YHWH.
37 Davut RAB'bin Antlaşma Sandığı'nın önünde günlük işlerde sürekli hizmet etmeleri için Asaf'la Levili kardeşlerini atadı.
And he leaves there [those] of Asaph and of his brothers, before the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH, to minister before the Ark continually, according to the matter of a day in its day;
38 Onlarla birlikte hizmet etmeleri için Ovet-Edom'la altmış sekiz Levili akrabasını da atadı. Yedutun oğlu Ovet-Edom'la Hosa kapı nöbetçileriydi.
both Obed-Edom and their sixty-eight brothers, and Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, for gatekeepers;
39 Davut Kâhin Sadok'la öbür kâhin kardeşlerini Givon'daki tapınma yerinde, RAB'bin Çadırı'nın bulunduğu yerde görevlendirdi.
and Zadok the priest, and his brothers the priests, before the Dwelling Place of YHWH, in a high place that [is] in Gibeon,
40 Bunlar RAB'bin İsrail'e verdiği yasada yazılanlar uyarınca, sabah akşam, düzenli olarak yakmalık sunu sunağında RAB'be sunular sunacaklardı.
to cause burnt-offerings to ascend continually to YHWH on the altar of burnt-offering, morning and evening, and for all that is written in the Law of YHWH that He charged on Israel.
41 Onlarla birlikte Heman'la Yedutun'u ve RAB'bin sonsuz sevgisi için şükretsinler diye özel olarak seçilen öbürlerini de görevlendirdi.
And with them [are] Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest of those chosen, who were defined by name, to give thanks to YHWH, for His kindness [is] for all time;
42 Heman'la Yedutun borazanlardan, zillerden ve Tanrı'yı öven ezgiler için gereken öbür çalgılardan sorumluydu. Yedutunoğulları'nı da kapıda nöbetçi olarak görevlendirdi.
and with them—Heman and Jeduthun—[are] trumpets and cymbals for those sounding, and instruments of the song of God, and the sons of Jeduthun [are] at the gate.
43 Sonra herkes evine döndü. Davut da ailesini kutsamak için evine döndü.
And all the people go, each to his house, and David turns around to bless his house.
