< 2 Timote 1 >

1 Ko au Paula, ko e ʻaposetolo ʻa Sisu Kalaisi ʻi he finangalo ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻo fakatatau ki he talaʻofa ʻoe moʻui ʻaia ʻoku ʻia Kalaisi Sisu.
Paul, an apostle of Yahushua the Messiah by the will of YHWH, according to the promise of life which is in Yahushua the Messiah,
2 Ke ʻia Timote, ko e foha ʻofeina, ʻae ʻaloʻofa, mo e ʻofa mataʻataʻatā pe, mo e melino, mei he ʻOtua ko e Tamai mo Kalaisi Sisu ko hotau ʻEiki.
To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Favour, mercy, and peace, from YHWH the Father and Yahushua the Messiah our Master.
3 ‌ʻOku ou fakafetaʻi ki he ʻOtua, ʻaia ʻoku ou tauhi, ʻo hangē ko e ngaahi tamai ʻi muʻa, ʻi he ʻatamai māʻoniʻoni, ʻoku ou manatu maʻuaipē kiate koe ʻi heʻeku ngaahi lotu ʻi he pō mo e ʻaho;
I thank YHWH, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
4 ‌ʻO holi lahi ke u mamata kiate koe, ʻi heʻeku manatu ki hoʻo ngaahi loʻimata, koeʻuhi ke u fonu ʻi he fiefia;
Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5 ‌ʻI heʻeku fakamanatu ki he tui taʻeloi ʻoku ʻiate koe, ʻaia naʻe muʻaki nofoʻia hoʻo kui fefine ko Loisi, mo hoʻo faʻē ko ʻIunisi; pea ʻoku ou ʻilo ʻoku ʻiate koe foki.
When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
6 Ko ia ʻoku ou fakamanatu ai kiate koe ke ke tafutafu ʻae meʻa foaki ʻae ʻOtua, ʻaia ʻoku ʻiate koe ʻi he hilifaki ʻa hoku nima.
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of YHWH, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
7 He naʻe ʻikai foaki ʻe he ʻOtua kiate kitautolu ʻae laumālie ʻoe manavasiʻi; ka ko e mālohi, mo e ʻofa, mo e loto fakapotopoto.
For YHWH hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8 Ko ia ke ʻoua naʻa ke mā koe ki he fakamoʻoni ʻa hotau ʻEiki, pe kiate au ko ʻene pōpula: ka ke kau koe ʻi he ngaahi mamahi ʻoe ongoongolelei ʻo taau mo e mālohi ʻoe ʻOtua;
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Master, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the evangel according to the power of YHWH;
9 ‌ʻAia kuo ne fakamoʻui ʻo ne ui ʻakitautolu ʻi he uiuiʻi māʻoniʻoni, ʻo ʻikai fakatatau mo e tau ngaahi ngaue, ka ʻoku fakatatau mo ʻene tuʻutuʻuni, mo e ʻaloʻofa ʻaia naʻe foaki kiate kitautolu ʻia Kalaisi Sisu ʻi he teʻeki ai tuʻu ʻa māmani, (aiōnios g166)
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and Favour, which was given us in Yahushua the Messiah before the world began, (aiōnios g166)
10 Ka kuo hā eni ʻi he fakahā ʻahotau Fakamoʻui ko Sisu Kalaisi, ʻaia kuo ne ikuna ʻae mate, pea kuo ne fakahā ʻi he maama ʻae moʻui mo e taʻemate ʻi he ongoongolelei:
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Yahushua the Messiah, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the glad tidings:
11 ‌ʻAia naʻe fakanofo au ke u malangaʻaki ia, ko e ʻaposetolo, mo e akonaki ʻoe kakai Senitaile.
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 Ko e meʻa ko ia ʻoku ou kātaki ai ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni: ka ʻoku ʻikai te u mā: he ʻoku ou ʻilo ʻaia kuo u tui ki ai, pea ʻoku pau hoku loto ʻoku faʻa fai ʻe ia ke tauhi ʻaia kuo u tuku kiate ia ʻo aʻu ki he ʻaho ko ia.
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
13 Puke ke maʻu ʻae sino ʻoe ngaahi lea haohaoa, ʻaia naʻa ke fanongo ai ʻiate au, ʻi he tui mo e ʻofa ʻaia ʻoku ʻia Kalaisi Sisu.
Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Yahushua the Messiah.
14 Ko e meʻa lelei ko ia naʻe tuku kiate koe ke ke tauhi ʻi he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoni, ʻaia ʻoku nofoʻia ʻakitautolu.
That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Spirit which dwelleth in us.
15 ‌ʻOku ke ʻilo ʻae meʻa ni, koeʻuhi ko kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku ʻi ʻEsia kuo nau siʻaki au; ʻaia kuo kau ai ʻa Faiselo mo Hemosine.
This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 Ke foaki ʻe he ʻEiki ʻae ʻaloʻofa ki he fale ʻo ʻOnesifolo; he naʻe liunga lahi ʻene tokoniʻi au, pea naʻe ʻikai mā ia ʻi hoku haʻi ukamea:
YHWH give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
17 Ka ʻi heʻene ʻi Loma, naʻa ne kumi lahi kiate au, ʻo ne ʻiloʻi [au].
But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.
18 ‌ʻOfa ke tuku kiate ia ʻe he ʻEiki ke ne maʻu ʻae ʻaloʻofa mei he ʻEiki ʻi he ʻaho ko ia: pea ko e ngaahi meʻa kehekehe naʻa ne tokoniʻi ai au ʻi ʻEfesō, ʻoku ke ʻilo pe.
YHWH grant unto him that he may find mercy in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.
