லூக்கா 11
1 ௧ அவர் ஒரு இடத்தில் ஜெபம்பண்ணி முடித்தபின்பு, அவருடைய சீடர்களில் ஒருவன் அவரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, யோவான் தன் சீடருக்கு ஜெபம்பண்ணப் போதித்ததுபோல, நீங்களும் எங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கவேண்டும் என்றான்.
AND it came to pass, as he was in a certain place praying, when he had done, one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray, even as John also taught his disciples.
2 ௨ அதற்கு அவர்: நீங்கள் ஜெபம்பண்ணும்போது: பரமண்டலங்களிலிருக்கிற எங்களுடைய பிதாவே, உம்முடைய நாமம் பரிசுத்தப்படுவதாக; உம்முடைய ராஜ்யம் வருவதாக; உம்முடைய சித்தம் பரமண்டலத்திலே செய்யப்படுகிறதுபோல பூமியிலேயும் செய்யப்படுவதாக;
And he said unto them, When ye pray say, Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name: thy kingdom come: thy will be done as in heaven so upon earth.
Give us our necessary food, day by day:
4 ௪ எங்களுடைய பாவங்களை எங்களுக்கு மன்னியும்; நாங்களும் எங்களிடம் கடன்பட்ட எவனுக்கும் மன்னிக்கிறோமே; எங்களைச் சோதனைக்குட்படப்பண்ணாமல், தீமையிலிருந்து எங்களை இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளும், என்று சொல்லுங்கள்” என்றார்.
and forgive us our sins, for we also forgive every one who is indebted to us. And bring us not into temptation; but deliver us from the wicked one.
5 ௫ பின்பு அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்களில் ஒருவன் தனக்கு நண்பனாக இருக்கிறவனிடம் நடுராத்திரியிலேபோய்: நண்பனே,
And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and he shall go to him at midnight, and say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
6 ௬ என் நண்பன் ஒருவன் பயணத்தில் என் வீட்டிற்கு வந்திருக்கிறான், அவனுக்கு சாப்பிடக்கொடுக்க என்னிடத்தில் ஒன்றுமில்லை, நீ மூன்று அப்பங்களை எனக்குக் கடனாகத் தரவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டான்.
for a friend of mine is come to me off a journey, and I have nothing to set before him.
7 ௭ வீட்டிற்குள் இருக்கிறவன் மறுமொழியாக: என்னைத் தொந்தரவு செய்யாதே, கதவை பூட்டிவிட்டோம், என் பிள்ளைகள் என்னோடு தூங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள், நான் எழுந்திருந்து, உனக்கு அப்பம் தரமுடியாத நிலையில் இருக்கிறேன் என்று சொன்னான்.
And he from within answering, shall say, Give me no farther trouble: my door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed; I am unable to rise and give thee.
8 ௮ பின்பு, தனக்கு அவன் நண்பனாக இருப்பதினால் எழுந்து அவனுக்கு அப்பம் கொடுக்கவில்லை என்றாலும், தன்னிடத்தில் அவன் வருந்திக் கேட்கிறதினாலே எழுந்திருந்து, அவனுக்குத் தேவையானதைக் கொடுப்பான் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
I tell you, though even he would not rise and give him because he is his friend; yet because of his importunity, roused up, he will give him as many as he needeth.
9 ௯ மேலும் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறதாவது: கேளுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்; தேடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது கண்டடைவீர்கள்; தட்டுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்குத் திறக்கப்படும்.
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 ௧0 ஏனென்றால், கேட்கிறவன் எவனும் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறான்; தேடுகிறவன் கண்டடைகிறான்; தட்டுகிறவனுக்குத் திறக்கப்படும்.
For every one who asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
11 ௧௧ உங்களில் தகப்பனாக இருக்கிற ஒருவனிடத்தில் மகன் அப்பம் கேட்டால், அவனுக்குக் கல்லைக் கொடுப்பானா? மீனைக்கேட்டால் மீனுக்குப் பதிலாகப் பாம்பைக் கொடுப்பானா?
For what father of you, if his son ask a loaf, will he give him a stone? or if a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
or if he ask also an egg, will he give him a scorpion?
13 ௧௩ பொல்லாதவர்களாகிய நீங்களே உங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்கு நல்ல பரிசுகளைக் கொடுக்க அறிந்திருக்கும்போது, பரமபிதாவானவர் அவரிடத்தில் வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரைக் கொடுப்பது அதிக நிச்சயம் அல்லவா என்றார்.
If ye then, evil as ye are, know how to give good gifts to your children; how much more shall your Father, who is in heaven, give his Holy Spirit to those who ask him?
14 ௧௪ பின்பு இயேசு ஊமையாக இருந்தவனிடத்திலிருந்த ஒரு பிசாசைத் துரத்தினார். பிசாசு புறப்பட்டுப்போனபின்பு ஊமையன் பேசினான்; மக்கள் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள்.
And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb person spake, and the people marvelled.
15 ௧௫ அவர்களில் சிலர்: இவன் பிசாசுகளின் தலைவனாகிய பெயெல்செபூலைக்கொண்டு பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறான் என்றார்கள்.
But some of them said, He casteth out devils by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
16 ௧௬ வேறுசிலர் இயேசுவை சோதிப்பதற்காக வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் காட்டவேண்டுமென்று அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டார்கள்.
But others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.
17 ௧௭ அவர்களுடைய சிந்தனைகளை அவர் அறிந்து, அவர்களை நோக்கி: தனக்குத்தானே விரோதமாகப் பிரிந்திருக்கிற எந்த ராஜ்யமும் அழிந்துபோகும்; தனக்குத்தானே விரோதமாகப் பிரிந்திருக்கிற எந்தக் குடும்பமும் நிலைத்திருக்காது.
But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and a house against a house, falleth.
18 ௧௮ சாத்தானும் தனக்குத்தானே விரோதமாகப் பிரிந்திருந்தால் அவன் ராஜ்யம் எப்படி நிலைநிற்கும்? இப்படியிருக்கும்போது, பெயெல்செபூலைக்கொண்டு நான் பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறேன் என்கிறீர்களே.
And if Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom be established? because ye say, that I cast out devils by Beelzebub.
19 ௧௯ நான் பெயெல்செபூலினாலே பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்தினால், உங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகள் அவைகளை யாராலே துரத்துகிறார்கள்? ஆகவே, அவர்களே உங்களை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள்.
But if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
20 ௨0 நான் தேவனுடைய வல்லமையினால் பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறபடியால், தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் உங்களிடம் வந்திருக்கிறதே.
But if with the finger of God I cast out devils, then, verily the kingdom of God is come unto you.
21 ௨௧ ஆயுதம் அணிந்த பலசாலி தன் அரண்மனையை காவல்காக்கும்போது, அவனுடைய பொருள்கள் பாதுகாப்பாக இருக்கும்.
When a strong man, in complete armour, guards his palace, his goods are in peace.
22 ௨௨ அவனைவிட பலசாலி வந்து, அவனைத் தோற்கடித்து, அவன் நம்பியிருந்த எல்லா ஆயுதங்களையும் பறித்துக்கொண்டு, அவனுடைய பொருட்களை கொள்ளையிடுவான்.
But when a stronger person than he coming, vanquisheth him, he takes away his suit of armour in which he confided, and distributes the spoils.
23 ௨௩ என்னோடு இல்லாதவன் எனக்கு பகைவனாக இருக்கிறான், மக்களை என்னிடம் சேர்க்காதவன், அவர்களை சிதறடிக்கிறான்.
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth abroad.
24 ௨௪ அசுத்தஆவி ஒரு மனிதனைவிட்டுப் போகும்போது, வறண்ட இடங்களில் அலைந்து, இளைப்பாற இடம் தேடியும் கிடைக்காமல்: நான் விட்டுவந்த என் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிப்போவேன் என்று சொல்லி,
When the unclean spirit goeth out of a man, he passes through places destitute of water, seeking repose; and not finding it, saith, I will go back to my habitation from whence I came out:
and coming, he findeth it swept and furnished.
26 ௨௬ திரும்பிப்போய், தன்னைவிட பொல்லாத மற்ற ஏழு ஆவிகளைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுவந்து, உள்ளே புகுந்து, அங்கே குடியிருக்கும்; அப்பொழுது அந்த மனிதனுடைய முன் நிலைமையை விட அவனுடைய பின் நிலைமை மிகவும் மோசமாக இருக்கும் என்றார்.
Then goeth he, and taketh seven other spirits, more wicked than himself; and they entering in, take up their abode there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
27 ௨௭ இயேசு இவைகளைச் சொல்லும்பொழுது, மக்கள் கூட்டத்திலிருந்த ஒரு பெண் அவரை நோக்கி: உம்மைச் சுமந்த கர்ப்பமும் நீர் பாலுண்ட மார்பகங்களும் பாக்கியமுள்ளவைகள் என்று சத்தமிட்டுச் சொன்னாள்.
And it came to pass as he was speaking these words, a certain woman from among the multitude lift up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the breasts which thou hast sucked.
28 ௨௮ அதற்கு அவர்: அதைவிட, தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டு, அதைக் கடைபிடிப்பவர்களே அதிக பாக்கியவான்கள் என்றார்.
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they who hear the word of God and observe it.
29 ௨௯ மக்கள் கூட்டமாக கூடிவந்திருக்கிறபொழுது அவர்: இந்த வம்சத்தார் பொல்லாதவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள், அடையாளத்தைத் தேடுகிறார்கள்; ஆனாலும் யோனா தீர்க்கதரிசியின் அடையாளம்தவிர வேறு எந்த அடையாளமும் இவர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படுவதில்லை.
Then the multitudes thronging around him, he began to say, This is a wicked generation: it seeketh a sign, and no sign shall be given it, but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
30 ௩0 யோனா நினிவே பட்டணத்தார்களுக்கு அடையாளமாக இருந்ததுபோல, மனிதகுமாரனும் இந்த வம்சத்திற்கு அடையாளமாக இருப்பார்.
For as Jonas was a sign to the Ninevites, so shall the Son of man also be to this generation.
31 ௩௧ தெற்கு தேசத்து ராணி சாலொமோனுடைய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்க பூமியின் எல்லையிலிருந்து வந்தாள்; இதோ, சாலொமோனைவிட பெரியவர் இங்கே இருக்கிறார்; ஆதலால் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புநாளிலே அந்த ராணி இந்த வம்சத்தாரோடு எழுந்து நின்று, இவர்கள்மேல் குற்றஞ்சுமத்துவாள்.
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment against the men of this generation, and shall condemn them: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
32 ௩௨ யோனாவின் பிரசங்கத்தைக் கேட்டு நினிவே பட்டணத்தார் மனம் மாறினார்கள்; இதோ, யோனாவைவிட பெரியவர் இங்கே இருக்கிறார்; ஆதலால் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புநாளில் நினிவே பட்டணத்தார் இந்த வம்சத்தாரோடு எழுந்து நின்று, இவர்கள்மேல் குற்றஞ்சுமத்துவார்கள்.
The men of Nineveh shall rise up in judgment against this generation, and shall condemn it, for they repented on the preaching of Jonah, and, behold, a greater than Jonah is here.
33 ௩௩ ஒருவனும் விளக்கைக் கொளுத்தி, மறைவாகவோ, பாத்திரத்தின் கீழேயோ வைக்காமல், உள்ளே வருகிறவர்கள் வெளிச்சம்காணும்படி, அதை விளக்குத்தண்டின்மேல் வைப்பான்.
But no man lighting a lamp putteth it in a concealed place, or under a bushel, but on a stand, that they who are coming in, may see the light.
34 ௩௪ கண்ணானது சரீரத்திற்கு விளக்காக இருக்கிறது; உன் கண் தெளிவாக இருந்தால், உன் சரீரம் முழுவதும் வெளிச்சமாக இருக்கும்; உன் கண் கெட்டதாக இருந்தால் உன் சரீரம் முழுவதும் இருளாக இருக்கும்.
The lamp of the body is the eye: when therefore thine eye is clear, thy whole body will be luminous, but if it be vitiated, thy whole body will be darkened.
Let it be thy aim then, that the light which is in thee do not become darkness.
36 ௩௬ உன் சரீரத்தின் எந்தவொரு பகுதியும் இருளடையாமல், சரீரம் முழுவதும் வெளிச்சமாக இருந்தால், ஒரு விளக்கு தன் பிரகாசத்தினாலே உனக்கு வெளிச்சம் கொடுக்கிறதுபோல உன் சரீரம் முழுவதும் வெளிச்சமாக இருக்கும் என்றார்.
If then thy whole body be illuminated, not having any dark part, it will be wholly luminous, as a lamp by its brightness diffuseth light.
37 ௩௭ இயேசு இப்படிப் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, பரிசேயன் ஒருவன், அவர் தன்னோடு உணவு உண்ணவேண்டும் என்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்; அவர் போய் அவனோடுகூட பந்தி உட்கார்ந்தார்.
Now as he was speaking, a certain Pharisee invited him to dine with him; and going in with him, he sat down.
But the Pharisee seeing it, marvelled, that he had not washed before dinner.
39 ௩௯ கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: பரிசேயர்களாகிய நீங்கள் உணவுப் பாத்திரங்களின் வெளிப்புறத்தைச் சுத்தமாக்குகிறீர்கள், உங்களுடைய உள்ளங்களோ கொள்ளையினாலும் பொல்லாப்பினாலும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.
Then said the Lord unto him, Now ye Pharisees make the outside of the cup and of the dish clean, but your inward parts are full of extortion and wickedness.
Ye senseless men! did not he who made that which is without, make also that which is within?
But give what is within them for alms; and, lo! all will be pure unto you.
42 ௪௨ பரிசேயர்களே, உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, நீங்கள் புதினா, மறிக்கொழுந்து ஆகிய எல்லாவித பூண்டுகளிலும் தசமபாகம் கொடுத்து, நியாயத்தையும் தேவ அன்பையும் விட்டுவிடுகிறீர்கள்; இவைகளையும் செய்யவேண்டும், அவைகளையும் விட்டுவிடாமல் இருக்கவேண்டும்.
But wo to you, Pharisees, because ye tithe mint, and rue, and every herb, and pass by judgment and the love of God. These ought ye to have done, and not to have omitted the other.
43 ௪௩ பரிசேயர்களே, உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் முதன்மையான இருக்கைகளையும், சந்தைகளில் வணக்கங்களையும் விரும்புகிறீர்கள்.
Wo unto you, Pharisees, for ye love the first seats in the synagogues, and salutations in the places of public concourse.
44 ௪௪ வேதபண்டிதர்களே, பரிசேயர்களே, உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, மறைந்திருக்கிற சவக்குழிகளைப்போல இருக்கிறீர்கள், அதின்மேல் நடக்கிற மனிதர்களுக்கு அவைகள் தெரியாதிருக்கிறது.
Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves concealed, which men, while walking over them, see not.
45 ௪௫ அப்பொழுது நியாயப்பண்டிதர்களில் ஒருவன் அவரை நோக்கி: போதகரே, நீர் இப்படிச் சொல்லுகிறதினால் எங்களையும் அவமதிக்கிறீர் என்றான்.
Then one of the doctors of the law addressing him, said, Master, thus speaking, thou reproachest us also.
46 ௪௬ அதற்கு இயேசு: நியாயப்பண்டிதர்களே, உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, சுமக்க இயலாத சுமைகளை மனிதர்கள்மேல் சுமத்துகிறீர்கள்; ஆனால், நீங்களோ உங்களுடைய விரல்களினால்கூட அந்தச் சுமைகளைத் தொடவும்மாட்டீர்கள்.
And he said, Wo also to you, teachers of the law! for ye load men with burdens hardly bearable, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
47 ௪௭ உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, உங்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்கள் கொலைசெய்த தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்குக் கல்லறைகளைக் கட்டுகிறீர்கள்.
Wo unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48 ௪௮ ஆகவே, உங்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்களுடைய செயல்களுக்கு நீங்களும் உடன்பட்டவர்கள் என்று சாட்சியிடுகிறீர்கள்; எப்படியென்றால், உங்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்கள் அவர்களைக் கொலைசெய்தார்கள், நீங்களோ அவர்களுக்குக் கல்லறைகளைக் கட்டுகிறீர்கள்.
Ye do indeed bear witness to, and with pleasure concur in your fathers’ deeds; for they truly killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.
49 ௪௯ ஆதலால் தேவஞானமானது: நான் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளையும் அப்போஸ்தலர்களையும் அவர்களிடத்தில் அனுப்புவேன்; அவர்களில் சிலரைக் கொலைசெய்து, சிலரைத் துன்பப்படுத்துவார்கள்;
Therefore also the wisdom of God hath said, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall kill, and shall persecute:
50 ௫0 ஆபேலின் இரத்தத்திலிருந்து பலிபீடத்திற்கும் தேவ ஆலயத்திற்கும் நடுவே கொலை செய்யப்பட்ட சகரியாவின் இரத்தம்வரைக்கும், உலகத்தோற்றத்திலிருந்து சிந்தப்பட்ட எல்லா தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுடைய இரத்தப்பழியும் இந்த வம்சத்தாரிடம் கேட்கப்படுவதற்காக அப்படிச் செய்வார்கள் என்று சொல்லுகிறது.
that the blood of all the prophets, which hath been shed since the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation:
from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zachariah, who was slain between the altar and the temple: verily I tell you, It shall be required of this generation.
52 ௫௨ நியாயப்பண்டிதர்களே, உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, அறிவாகிய திறவுகோலை எடுத்துக்கொண்டீர்கள், நீங்களும் உள்ளே செல்வதில்லை, உள்ளே செல்கிறவர்களையும் தடைபண்ணுகிறீர்கள் என்றார்.
Wo unto you, teachers of the law! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge; ye yourselves enter not in, and those who were entering ye have hindered.
53 ௫௩ இவைகளை இயேசு அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லும்போது, வேதபண்டிதர்களும் பரிசேயர்களும் அவர்மேல் குற்றஞ்சாட்டுவதற்காக, அவர் வார்த்தைகளில் ஏதாவது பிழை கண்டுபிடிக்கவேண்டும் என்று முயற்சிசெய்து அவரை மிகவும் நெருக்கவும்,
And as he was saying these things unto them, the scribes and Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to extort answers from him respecting many things;
laying snares for him, and seeking to catch hold of something from his mouth, that they might accuse him.
