THE beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
2 ௨ “இதோ, நான் என் தூதுவனை உமக்கு முன்பாக அனுப்புகிறேன், அவன் உமக்கு முன்பேபோய், உமக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணுவான் என்றும்;
as it is written in the prophets; “Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, he shall prepare thy way before thee.
3 ௩ கர்த்தருக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள், அவருக்குப் பாதைகளைச் செவ்வைபண்ணுங்கள்” என்று “வனாந்திரத்திலே கூப்பிடுகிறவனுடைய சத்தம் உண்டாகும்” என்றும், தீர்க்கதரிசன புத்தகங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி;
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths strait.”
4 ௪ யோவான் வனாந்திரத்தில் ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுத்து, பாவமன்னிப்புக்கென்று மனந்திரும்புதலுக்கான ஞானஸ்நானத்தைப்பற்றி பிரசங்கம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.
John was baptising in the wilderness, and preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
5 ௫ அப்பொழுது யூதேயா தேசத்தார் மற்றும் எருசலேம் நகரத்தார் அனைவரும், யோவானிடம்போய், தங்களுடைய பாவங்களை அறிக்கைசெய்து, யோர்தான் நதியில் அவனால் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றார்கள்.
And all the country of Judea went out to him, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptised by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
6 ௬ யோவான் ஒட்டகமயிர் ஆடையை அணிந்து, தன் இடுப்பில் தோல் கச்சையைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, வெட்டுக்கிளியையும் காட்டுத்தேனையும் சாப்பிடுகிறவனாகவும் இருந்தான்.
Now John was clothed with a camel’s hair garment, and a girdle of leather about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
7 ௭ அவன்: என்னைவிட வல்லவர் ஒருவர் எனக்குப்பின்பு வருகிறார், அவருடைய காலணிகளின் வாரைக் குனிந்து அவிழ்ப்பதற்குக்கூட நான் தகுதியானவன் இல்லை.
And he preached, saying, One mightier than I is coming after me, the string of whose shoes I am not worthy, stooping down, to unloose.
8 ௮ நான் தண்ணீரினால் உங்களுக்கு ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுக்கிறேன்; அவரோ பரிசுத்த ஆவியினால் உங்களுக்கு ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுப்பார் என்று பிரசங்கம்பண்ணினான்.
I indeed baptise you with water; but he shall baptise you with the Holy Ghost.
9 ௯ அந்த நாட்களில், இயேசு கலிலேயாவில் உள்ள நாசரேத்து என்னும் ஊரிலிருந்து வந்து, யோர்தான் நதியில் யோவானால் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றார்.
And it came to pass in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and was baptised of John in Jordan.
10 ௧0 அவர் தண்ணீரில் இருந்து கரையேறின உடனே, வானம் திறக்கப்பட்டதையும், ஆவியானவர் புறாவைப்போல தம்மேல் இறங்குகிறதையும் பார்த்தார்.
And immediately on going up from the water, he saw the heavens divided by a chasm, and the Spirit as a dove descending upon him:
11 ௧௧ அப்பொழுது, நீர் என்னுடைய நேசகுமாரன், உம்மிடம் பிரியமாக இருக்கிறேன் என்று, வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு சத்தம் உண்டானது.
and a voice came from heaven, Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased.
And immediately the Spirit impelled him to go into the wilderness.
13 ௧௩ அவர் வனாந்திரத்திலே நாற்பதுநாட்கள் இருந்து, சாத்தானால் சோதிக்கப்பட்டு, அங்கே காட்டுமிருகங்களின் நடுவிலே தங்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தார். தேவதூதர்கள் அவருக்குப் பணிவிடைசெய்தார்கள்.
And he was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministred unto him.
14 ௧௪ யோவான் சிறைக்காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டபின்பு, இயேசு கலிலேயாவிற்கு வந்து, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தின் நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கம் செய்து:
But after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God:
15 ௧௫ காலம் நிறைவேறியது, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் அருகில் இருக்கிறது; மனந்திரும்பி, நற்செய்தியை விசுவாசியுங்கள் என்றார்.
and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draweth nigh: repent, and believe the gospel.
16 ௧௬ அவர் கலிலேயா கடலின் ஓரமாக நடந்துபோகும்போது, மீனவர்களாக இருந்த சீமோனும், அவன் சகோதரன் அந்திரேயாவும் கடலில் வலையைப் போட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கிறதைப் பார்த்தார்.
And as he walked near the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
17 ௧௭ இயேசு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: என் பின்னே வாருங்கள், உங்களை மனிதர்களைப் பிடிக்கிறவர்களாக்குவேன் என்றார்.
And Jesus said to them, Come after me, and I will appoint you to be fishers of men:
and immediately leaving their nets, they followed him.
19 ௧௯ அவர் அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுச் சற்றுதூரம் சென்றபோது, செபெதேயுவின் குமாரன் யாக்கோபும் அவனுடைய சகோதரன் யோவானும் படகிலே வலைகளைப் பழுதுபார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்ததைப் பார்த்து,
And going from thence a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, and others in the vessel mending the nets.
20 ௨0 உடனே அவர்களையும் அழைத்தார்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய தகப்பனாகிய செபெதேயுவை படகிலே கூலியாட்களோடு விட்டுவிட்டு, அவருக்குப் பின்னே சென்றார்கள்.
And immediately he called them: and leaving their father Zebedee in the vessel with the hirelings, they went after him.
21 ௨௧ பின்பு அவர்கள் கப்பர்நகூமுக்குப் போனார்கள். உடனே அவர் ஓய்வுநாளிலே ஜெப ஆலயத்திற்குச் சென்று, போதனை பண்ணினார்.
And they entered into Capernaum; and immediately on the sabbath going into the synagogue, he taught.
22 ௨௨ அவர் வேதபண்டிதர்களைப்போல போதிக்காமல், அதிகாரமுடையவராக அவர்களுக்குப் போதித்ததினால் அவருடைய போதனையைக்குறித்து மக்கள் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள்.
And they were struck with astonishment at his doctrine; for he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
24 ௨௪ அவன்: ஐயோ! நசரேயனாகிய இயேசுவே, எங்களுக்கும் உமக்கும் என்ன? எங்களைக் கெடுக்கவா நீர் வந்தீர்? நீர் யார் என்று நான் அறிவேன், நீர் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தர் என்று சத்தமாகக் கத்தினான்.
saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out of him.
And the unclean spirit threw him into convulsions, and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
27 ௨௭ எல்லோரும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு: இது என்ன? இந்தப் புதிய உபதேசம் எப்படிப்பட்டது? இவர் அதிகாரத்தோடு அசுத்தஆவிகளுக்குக் கட்டளைக் கொடுக்கிறார், அவைகள் இவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறதே என்று தங்களுக்குள்ளே ஒருவரோடொருவர் சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And they were all in astonishment, so that they questioned one another, saying, What is this? what is this new doctrine? that with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him?
And there went out a report of him immediately into all the region of Galilee round about.
29 ௨௯ உடனே அவர்கள் ஜெப ஆலயத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, யாக்கோபு மற்றும் யோவானோடு, சீமோன் அந்திரேயா என்பவர்களுடைய வீட்டிற்குப் போனார்கள்.
Then straitway going out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 ௩0 அங்கே சீமோனுடைய மாமியார் ஜூரத்தோடு படுத்திருந்தாள்; உடனே அவர்கள் அவளைப்பற்றி அவருக்குச் சொன்னார்கள்.
But Simon’s wife’s mother lay in a fever, and immediately they informed him of her.
31 ௩௧ அவர் அருகில் சென்று, அவள் கையைப் பிடித்து, அவளைத் தூக்கிவிட்டார்; உடனே ஜூரம் அவளைவிட்டு நீங்கியது; அப்பொழுது அவள் அவர்களுக்குப் பணிவிடைசெய்தாள்.
And he came and raised her up, and the fever left her immediately, and she waited upon them.
32 ௩௨ மாலைநேரத்தில் சூரியன் மறையும்போது, எல்லா நோயாளிகளையும், பிசாசு பிடித்தவர்களையும், இயேசுவிடம் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
But when the evening was come, after the sun was set, they brought unto him all that had illnesses, and the demoniacs.
And the whole city was gathered together about the door;
34 ௩௪ பலவிதமான வியாதிகளினால் கஷ்டப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்த அநேக மக்களை அவர் சுகமாக்கி, அநேக பிசாசுகளையும் துரத்திவிட்டார்; அந்தப் பிசாசுகளுக்கு, அவர் யார் என்று தெரிந்திருந்ததால், அவைகள் பேசுகிறதற்கு அவர் அனுமதிக்கவில்லை.
and he healed many who were grievously afflicted with a variety of diseases; and he cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak for they knew him.
35 ௩௫ அவர் அதிகாலையில், இருட்டோடு எழுந்து புறப்பட்டு, வனாந்திரமான ஒரு இடத்திற்குப்போய், அங்கே ஜெபம்பண்ணினார்.
And very early (the night being far advanced towards morning) rising up, he went forth, and retired into a desert place, and there prayed.
And Simon, and those who were with him, eagerly pursued him;
and when they had found him, they say unto him, All men are inquiring after thee.
38 ௩௮ அவர்களை அவர் பார்த்து: அடுத்த ஊர்களிலும் நான் பிரசங்கம் பண்ணவேண்டும், எனவே அந்த இடங்களுக்குப் போகலாம் வாருங்கள்; இதற்காகத்தான் புறப்பட்டுவந்தேன் என்று சொல்லி;
And he said unto them, Let us go into the neighbouring towns, that I may preach there also; for unto this purpose came I forth.
39 ௩௯ கலிலேயா நாடு முழுவதும் அவர்களுடைய ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் அவர் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டும், பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்திக்கொண்டும் இருந்தார்.
And he was preaching in their synagogues, through all Galilee, and casting out devils.
40 ௪0 அப்பொழுது குஷ்டரோகி ஒருவன் அவரிடம் வந்து, அவர் முன்பாக முழங்கால்படியிட்டு: உமக்கு விருப்பமானால் என்னைச் சுகப்படுத்த உம்மால் முடியும் என்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்.
And there came to him a leper, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretching out his hand, touched him, and said to him, I will; be thou cleansed.
And as he spake, the leprosy instantly departed from him, and he was cleansed.
And giving him a strict charge, he immediately sent him away;
44 ௪௪ ஆனாலும் நீ போய், ஆசாரியனுக்கு உன்னைக் காண்பித்து, நீ சுத்தமானதினால், மோசே கட்டளையிட்டபடி அவர்களுக்கு நீ சுகம் பெற்றதின் சாட்சியாக காணிக்கை செலுத்து என்று உறுதியாகச் சொல்லி, உடனே அவனை அனுப்பிவிட்டார்.
and said to him, Take care, that thou speak not a word to any man: but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy purification, what Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
45 ௪௫ ஆனால், அவனோ புறப்பட்டுப்போய்; இந்த விஷயங்களை எல்லோருக்கும் சொல்லிப் பிரசித்தப்படுத்தினான். எனவே, அவர் வெளிப்படையாகப் பட்டணத்திற்குள் செல்லமுடியாமல், வெளியே வனாந்திரமான இடங்களில் தங்கியிருந்தார்; எல்லாப் பகுதிகளிலும் இருந்து மக்கள் அவரிடம் வந்தார்கள்.
But he going out, began to proclaim it much, and to publish abroad an account of it, so that he could no more openly come into the city; but was without in desert places; and they came to him from all parts of the country.
