தீத்து 3

1 ஆளுகை செய்கிறவர்களுக்கும், அதிகாரத்தில் உள்ளவர்களுக்கும் பணிந்திருக்கும்படி மக்களுக்கு ஞாபகப்படுத்து. அவர்களுக்கு கீழ்ப்படியவும், எல்லா நல்ல செயல்களையும் செய்ய ஆயத்தமாயும்,

Put them in mind that to princes and to powers they are to hearken and to be obedient, and to be prepared for every good work.

2 ஒருவரையும் அவதூறாய் பேசாதவர்களாயும், எல்லோருடனும் சமாதானமாய் வாழ்கிறவர்களாயும், கரிசனை உடையவர்களாயும், எல்லா மனிதருக்கு முன்பாகவும் எப்பொழுதும் தாழ்மையுள்ளவர்களாயும் இருக்கவேண்டுமென்று ஞாபகப்படுத்து.

And against no man to rail, nor be contentious, but gentle, and in every thing to show their benignity towards all men.

3 ஒருகாலத்தில் நாமும்கூட மூடர்களாயும் கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களாயும் இருந்தோம். இதனால் ஏமாந்து, பலவித தீய ஆசைகளுக்கும் சிற்றின்பங்களுக்கும் அடிமைப்பட்டிருந்தோம். தீங்குசெய்யும் எண்ணமுடையவர்களாயும், பொறாமையுடையவர்களாயும், ஒருவரிலொருவர் வெறுக்கப்படுகிறவர்களாயும், ஒருவரையொருவர் வெறுக்கிறவர்களாயும் வாழ்ந்தோம்.

For we also were afore-time without understanding, and disobedient and erring, and were subjected to various lusts; and in malice, and in envy we conversed, and were hateful, and also hating one another.

4 ஆனாலும் நமது இரட்சகராகிய இறைவனுடைய தயவும் அன்பும் வெளிப்பட்டபோது,

But when appeared the goodness and mercy of Aloha our Saviour,

5 அவர் நம்மை இரட்சித்தது, நாம் செய்த நீதியான செயல்களின் காரணமாக அல்ல, அவருடைய இரக்கத்தின் காரணமாகவே அவர் இரட்சித்தார். மறுபிறப்பின் கழுவப்படுதலின் மூலமாகவும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் புதுவாழ்வின் மூலமாகவுமே அவர் நம்மை இரட்சித்தார்.

not by works of righteousness which we had done, but by his own mercy he saved us, by the laving of the birth which is afresh, by the renewing of the Spirit of Holiness,

6 இறைவன் அந்தப் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரை நம்முடைய இரட்சகராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் மூலமாய் நம்மேல் அளவில்லாமல் ஊற்றினார்.

which he shed upon us abundantly, by Jeshu Meshiha our Saviour;

7 இதனால் நாம் அவருடைய கிருபையின் மூலமாய் நீதிமான்களாக்கப்பட்டு, அவருடைய வாரிசுகளாகிறோம். நித்திய வாழ்வைப் பெறும் எதிர்பார்ப்பையும் அடைவோம். (aiōnios g166)

that by his grace we might be justified, and be made heirs according to the hope of the life which is eternal. (aiōnios g166)

8 இது நம்பத்தகுந்த வாக்கு. ஆகவே, நீ இவற்றை வலியுறுத்திச் சொல்லவேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகிறேன். அப்பொழுதே இறைவனை சார்ந்திருக்கிறவர்கள், நன்மை செய்வதற்குத் தங்களை அர்ப்பணித்துக்கொள்ளும்படி கவனமுடையவர்களாய் இருப்பார்கள். இந்தக் காரியங்கள் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் நலமானதாயும் பயனுள்ளதாயும் இருக்கின்றன.

Faithful is the word; and in this I will that thou also establish them, that they should be careful to perform good works, they who have believed in Aloha. These are good and profitable unto men.

9 ஆனால், மோசேயின் சட்டத்தைப்பற்றிய மூடத்தனமான கருத்து வேறுபாடுகளையும், வம்ச வரலாறுகளையும், வாக்குவாதங்களையும், தர்க்கங்களையும் தவிர்த்துக்கொள்; ஏனெனில் இவை பயனற்றதும், வீணானதுமே.

But from foolish disputations, and from tales of genealogies, and from contentions, and strifes of the sophree, withdraw; for profit is not in them, and they are vain.

10 பிரிவினையை உண்டு பண்ணுகிறவர்களை ஒருமுறை எச்சரிக்கை செய். பின்பு இரண்டாவது முறையும் எச்சரிக்கை செய். அதற்குப் பின்பு, அவர்களுடன் எவ்விதத் தொடர்பும் வைத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டாம்.

From an heretical man, after one time and twice thou hast admonished him, withdraw;

11 அப்படிப்பட்டர்கள் சீர்கெட்டவர்களும், பாவத்தில் வாழ்கிறவர்களும், தன்னைத்தானே தண்டனைக்குள் ஆக்குகிறவர்களுமாய் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று நீ நிச்சயமாக அறிந்துகொள்.

and know that he who is such is perverse, and sinneth, and condemneth himself.

12 அர்த்தொமாவையோ அல்லது தீகிக்குவையோ நான் உன்னிடம் அனுப்பியவுடனே, நீ புறப்பட்டு நிக்கொப்போலிக்கு என்னிடம் வர உன்னால் இயன்ற முயற்சியைச் செய். ஏனெனில் குளிர்க்காலத்தை அங்கே கழிக்கவே நான் தீர்மானித்திருக்கிறேன்.

When I have sent to thee Artema, or Tykikos, be careful to come to me at Nikopolis; for there I have determined in my mind to winter.

13 சட்ட அறிஞரான சேனாவுக்கும், அப்பொல்லோவுக்கும் அவர்களுடைய தேவைகளை ஒரு குறைவுமில்லாமல் பார்த்து அவர்களை அனுப்பிவை.

But concerning Zina the sophra, and Apolo, be careful to provide them well, that nothing may be wanting to them.

14 நமது மக்களும், அன்றாட அவசிய தேவைகளை பிறருக்குக் கொடுத்து உதவத்தக்கதாக நற்செயல்களைச் செய்யக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளவார்களாக. அவர்கள் ஒரு பயனற்ற வாழ்க்கையை வாழக்கூடாது.

And let those also who are of us, learn to perform good works in things which are necessary, that they may not be without fruits.

15 என்னுடன் இருக்கும் ஒவ்வொருவரும் உங்களுக்கு வாழ்த்துதல்களை அனுப்புகிறார்கள். விசுவாசத்திற்குள்ளாக நம்மில் அன்பாய் இருக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் வாழ்த்துதலைச் சொல். கிருபை உங்கள் எல்லோருடனும் இருப்பதாக.

All they who are with me ask for thy peace. Ask for the peace of all who love us in the faith. Grace be with all of you. Amen.
