1 Mosebok 21
1 Och HERREN såg till Sara, såsom han hade lovat, och HERREN gjorde med Sara såsom han hade sagt.
Forsothe God visitide Sare, as he bihiyte, and fillide tho thingis, that he spak.
2 Sara blev havande och födde åt Abraham en son på hans ålderdom, vid den bestämda tid som Gud hade sagt honom.
And sche conseyuede, and childide a sone in hir eeld, in the tyme wherynne God biforseide to hir.
3 Och Abraham gav den son som var född åt honom, den som Sara hade fött åt honom, namnet Isak.
And Abraham clepide the name of his sone, whom Sare childide to him, Ysaac.
4 Och Abraham omskar sin son Isak, när denne var åtta dagar gammal, såsom Gud hade bjudit honom.
And Abraham circumcidide hym in the eiyte dai, as God comaundide to him,
5 Och Abraham var hundra år gammal, när hans son Isak föddes åt honom.
whanne he was of an hundrid yeer; for Ysaac was borun in this age of the fadir.
6 Och Sara sade: "Gud har berett mig ett löje; var och en som får höra detta skall le mot mig."
And Sare seide, The Lord made leiyynge to me, and who euer schal here schal leiye with me.
7 Och hon sade: "Vem skulle hava sagt Abraham att Sara skulle giva barn di? Och nu har jag fött honom en son på hans ålderdom!"
And eft sche seide, Who schulde here, and bileue to Abraham, that Sare schulde yyue soukyng to a sone, whom sche childide to him now an eld man?
8 Och barnet växte upp och blev avvant; och den dag då Isak avvandes gjorde Abraham ett stort gästabud.
Therfor the child encreesside, and was wenyd; and Abraham made a greet feeste in the dai of his wenyng.
9 Då fick Sara se Hagars, den egyptiska kvinnans, son, som denna hade fött åt Abraham, leka och skämta;
And whanne Sare seiy the sone of Agar Egipcian pleiynge with Ysaac hir sone, sche seide to Abraham,
10 och hon sade till Abraham: "Driv ut denna tjänstekvinna och hennes son, ty denna tjänstekvinnas son skall icke ärva med min son Isak."
Cast thou out the handmayde and hir sone; for the sone of the handmayde schal not be eir with my sone Ysaac.
11 Det talet misshagade Abraham mycket för hans sons skull.
Abraham took this heuyli for his sone;
12 Men Gud sade till Abraham: "Du må icke för gossens och för din tjänstekvinnas skull låta detta misshaga dig. Lyssna till Sara i allt vad hon säger dig; ty genom Isak är det som säd skall uppkallas efter dig.
and God seide to hym, Be it not seyn scharp to thee on the child, and on thin handmayde; alle thingis whiche Sare seith to thee, here thou hir vois, for in Isaac seed schal be clepid to thee;
13 Men också tjänstekvinnans son skall jag göra till ett folk, därför att han är din säd."
but also I schal make the sone of the handmaid in to a greet folk, for he is thi seed.
14 Bittida följande morgon tog Abraham bröd och en lägel med vatten och gav det åt Hagar; han lade det på hennes rygg och gav henne barnet med och lät henne gå. Och hon begav sig åstad och irrade omkring i Beer-Sebas öken.
And so Abraham roos eerli, and took breed, and a botel of watir, and puttide on hir schuldre, and bitook the child, and lefte hir; and whanne sche hadde go, sche yede out of the weie in the wildirnesse of Bersabee.
15 Men när vattnet i lägeln hade tagit slut, kastade hon barnet ifrån sig under en buske
And whanne the watir in the botel was endid, sche castide awei the child vndur a tre that was there;
16 och gick bort och satte sig ett stycke därifrån, på ett bågskotts avstånd, ty hon tänkte: "Jag förmår icke se på, huru barnet dör." Och där hon nu satt, på något avstånd, brast hon ut i gråt.
and sche yede awei, and sche sat euene ayens as fer as a bowe may caste; for sche seide, Y schal not se the child diynge; and sche sat ayens, and reiside hir vois, and wepte.
17 Då hörde Gud gossens röst, och Guds ängel ropade till Hagar från himmelen och sade till henne: "Vad fattas dig, Hagar? Frukta icke; ty Gud har hört gossens röst, där han ligger.
Forsothe the Lord herde the vois of the child, and the aungel of the Lord clepide Agar fro heuene, and seide, What doist thou, Agar? nyle thou drede, for God hath herd the vois of the child fro the place where ynne he is.
18 Gå och lyft upp gossen, och tag honom vid handen; jag skall göra honom till ett stort folk."
Rise thou, and take the child, and holde his hoond; for Y schal make hym in to a greet folc.
19 Och Gud öppnade hennes ögon, så att hon blev varse en vattenbrunn. Och hon gick dit och fyllde sin lägel med vatten och gav gossen att dricka.
And God openyde hir iyen, and sche seiy a pit of watir, and sche yede, and fillide the botel, and sche yaf drynk to the child;
20 Och Gud var med gossen, och han växte upp och bodde i öknen och blev med tiden en bågskytt.
and was with him, and he encresside, and dwellide in wildernesse, and he was maad a yong man an archer,
21 Han bodde i öknen Paran; och hans moder tog en hustru åt honom från Egyptens land.
and dwellide in the deseert of Faran; and his modir took to him a wijf of the lond of Egipt.
22 Vid den tiden kom Abimelek med Pikol, sin härhövitsman, och talade med Abraham och sade: "Gud är med dig i allt vad du gör.
In the same tyme Abymelech, and Ficol, prince of his oost, seide to Abraham, God is with thee in alle thingis whiche thou doist;
23 Så lova mig nu här med ed vid Gud att du icke skall göra dig skyldig till något svek mot mig eller mina barn och efterkommande, utan att du skall bevisa mig och det land där du nu bor såsom främling samma godhet som jag har bevisat dig."
therfore swere thou bi God that thou noye not me, and myn eiris, and my kynrede; but bi the mersi whych Y dide to thee, do thou to me, and to the lond in which thou lyuedist a comelyng.
24 Abraham sade: "Det vill jag lova dig."
And Abraham seide, Y schal swere.
25 Dock gjorde Abraham Abimelek förebråelser angående en vattenbrunn som Abimeleks tjänare hade tagit ifrån honom.
And he blamyde Abymelech for the pit of watir, which hise seruauntis token awey bi violence.
26 Men Abimelek svarade: "Jag vet icke vem som har gjort detta; själv har du ingenting sagt mig, och jag har icke hört något därom förrän i dag."
And Abymelech answerde, I wiste not who dide this thing, but also thou schewidist not to me, and Y herde not outakun to dai.
27 Då tog Abraham får och fäkreatur och gav åt Abimelek; och de slöto förbund med varandra.
And so Abraham took scheep and oxun, and yaf to Abymalech, and bothe smyten a boond of pees.
28 Men Abraham ställde sju lamm av hjorden avsides.
And Abraham settide seuene ewe lambren of the flok asidis half.
29 Då sade Abimelek till Abraham: "Vad betyda de sju lammen som du har ställt där avsides?"
And Abymelech seide to hym, What wolen these seuene ewe lambren to hem silf, whiche thou madist stonde asidis half?
30 Han svarade: "Dessa sju lamm skall du taga emot av mig, för att detta må vara mig till ett vittnesbörd därom att det är jag som har grävt denna brunn."
And he seide, Thou schalt take of myn hond seuene ewe lambren, that tho be in to witnessyng to me, for Y diggide this pit.
31 Därav kallades det stället Beer-Seba, eftersom de båda där gingo eden.
Therfor thilke place was clepid Bersabee, for euere eithir swore there;
32 När de så hade slutit förbund vid Beer-Seba, stodo Abimelek och hans härhövitsman Pikol upp och vände tillbaka till filistéernas land.
and thei maden boond of pees for the pit of an ooth.
33 Och Abraham planterade en tamarisk vid Beer-Seba och åkallade där HERRENS, den evige Gudens, namn.
Forsothe Abymelech roos, and Ficol, prince of his chyualrie, and thei turneden ayen in to the lond of Palestyns. Sotheli Abraham plauntide a wode in Bersabee, and inwardli clepide there the name of euerlastinge God;
34 Och Abraham bodde i filistéernas land en lång tid.
and he was an erthetiliere ether a comelynge of the lond of Palestynes in many dayes.
