4 Mosebok 34

1 Och Herren talade med Mose, och sade:

Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,

2 Bjud Israels barnom, och säg till dem: När I uti Canaans land kommen, så skall det landet, som eder till arfvedel faller i Canaans lande, hafva sin landamär.

“Enjoin the children of Israel [God prevails], and tell them, ‘When you come into the land of Canaan [Humbled] (this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan [Humbled] according to its borders),

3 Den sidan söderut skall begynna af den öknene Zin vid Edom, så att edart landamäre söderut skall vara ifrån ändanom af salthafvet, det österut ligger;

then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the side of Edom [Red], and your south border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea eastward.

4 Och att det landamäret skall sträcka sig ifrå sunnan uppåt intill Akrabbim, och gå igenom Zinna; och dess ända ifrå sunnan intill KadesBarnea, och räcka intill den byn Addar, och gå igenom Azmon;

Your border shall turn about southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass along to Zin; and it shall pass southward of Kadesh Barnea [Consecrated Son-inconstant]; and it shall go from there to Hazar Addar, and pass along to Azmon.

5 Och skall sträcka sig ifrån Azmon allt intill Egypti bäck; och dess ände vare i hafvena.

The border shall turn about from Azmon to the brook of Egypt [Abode of slavery], and it shall end at the sea.

6 Men det landamäret vesterut skall vara detta, nämliga det stora hafvet; det skall vara edart landamäre vesterut.

“‘For the western border, you shall have the Great Sea [Mediterranean Sea, Inland Sea] and its border. This shall be your west border.

7 Det landamäret norrut skall vara detta: I skolen mäta ifrå stora hafvet allt intill berget Hor;

“‘This shall be your north border: from the Great Sea [Mediterranean Sea, Inland Sea] you shall mark out for yourselves Mount Hor.

8 Och ifrå berget Hor mäta intilldess man kommer till Hamath; så att dess utgång skall vara det landamäret Zedada;

From Mount Hor you shall mark out to the entrance of Hamath; and the border shall pass by Zedad.

9 Och samma landamärens ände inåt Ziphron, och dess ände vare vid den byn Enan; det skall vara edart landamäre norrut;

Then the border shall go to Ziphron, and it shall end at Hazar Enan. This shall be your north border.

10 Och skolen mäta eder landamäret österut, ifrå den byn Enan intill Sepham.

“‘You shall mark out your east border from Hazar Enan to Shepham.

11 Och det landamäret gånge nederåt ifrå Sepham intill Ribla, till Ain östanefter; sedan gånge nederåt, och drage sig uppmed sidone af hafvet Cinnereth österut;

The border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain. The border shall go down, and shall reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward.

12 Och komme neder åt Jordan, så att dess ände blifver salthafvet; det skall vara edart land med sin landamäre allt omkring.

The border shall go down to the Jordan [Descender], and end at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders around it.’”

13 Och Mose böd Israels barnom, och sade: Detta är landet, som I skolen skifta emellan eder med lott, hvilket Herren budit hafver att gifva de nio slägter, och den halfva slägtene.

Moses [Drawn out] enjoined the children of Israel [God prevails], saying, “This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which Adonai has enjoined to give to the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe;

14 Ty Rubens barnas slägte efter deras fäders hus, och Gads barnas slägte efter deras fäders hus, och den halfva slägten Manasse, hafva allaredo tagit sin del.

for the tribe of the children of Reuben [See, a son!] according to their fathers’ houses, and the tribe of the children of Gad [Good fortune] according to their fathers’ houses, have received, and the half-tribe of Manasseh [Causing to forget] have received, their inheritance.

15 Så hafva de två slägterna, och den halfva slägten, sin arfvedel på desso sidone Jordan in mot Jericho österut.

The two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan [Descender] at Jericho [Fragrant, Moon] eastward, toward the sunrise.”

16 Och Herren talade med Mose, och sade:

Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,

17 Desse äro namnen af männerna, som landet skola skifta emellan eder: Presten Eleazar, och Josua, Nuns son.

“These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and Joshua [Yah Salvation] the son of Nun.

18 Dertill skolen I taga Förstan af hvarjo slägtene, till att utskifta landet.

You shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance.

19 Och desse äro männernas namn: Caleb, Jephunne son, af Juda slägte.

These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah [Praised], Caleb [Dog] the son of Jephunneh.

20 Semuel, Ammihuds son, af Simeons slägte.

Of the tribe of the children of Simeon [Hearing], Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

21 Elidad, Chislons son, af BenJamins slägte.

Of the tribe of Benjamin [Son of right hand, Son of south], Elidad the son of Chislon.

22 Bucki, Jogli son, Försten för Dans barnas slägte.

Of the tribe of the children of Dan [He judged] a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli.

23 Hanniel, Ephods son, Försten för Manasse barnas slägte, af Josephs barnom.

Of the children of Joseph [May he add]: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh [Causing to forget] a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

24 Kemuel, Siphtans son, Försten för Ephraims barnas slägte.

Of the tribe of the children of Ephraim [Fruit] a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

25 Elizaphan, Parnachs son, Försten för Sebulons barnas slägte.

Of the tribe of the children of Zebulun [Living together] a prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

26 Palthiel, Assans son, Försten för Isaschars barnas slägte.

Of the tribe of the children of Issachar [Hire, Reward] a prince, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

27 Ahihud, Selomi son, Försten för Assers barnas slägte.

Of the tribe of the children of Asher [Happy] a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

28 Pedahel, Ammihuds son, Försten för Naphthali barnas slägte.

Of the tribe of the children of Naphtali [My wrestling] a prince, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”

29 Desse äro de som Herren budit hafver, att de skulle utskifta Israels barnom arfvet i Canaans land.

These are they whom Adonai enjoined to divide the inheritance to the children of Israel [God prevails] in the land of Canaan [Humbled].
