1 Hii ni orodha ya vizazi vya Adamu. Katika siku ambayo Mungu alimuumba mtu, aliwaumba katika mfano wake mwenyewe.
This [is] an account of the generations of Adam. In the day of God’s creating man, in the likeness of God He has made him;

And Adam lives one hundred and thirty years [[or two hundred and thirty years]], and begets [a son] in his likeness, according to his image, and calls his name Seth.

And the days of Adam after his begetting Seth are eight hundred years [[or seven hundred years]], and he begets sons and daughters.

And all the days of Adam which he lived are nine hundred and thirty years, and he dies.
6 Wakati Sethi alipokuwa ameishi miaka 105, akamzaa Enoshi.
And Seth lives one hundred and five years [[or two hundred and five years]], and begets Enos.
7 Baada ya kumzaa Enoshi, akaishi miaka 807 na akawazaa wana wengi waume na wake.
And Seth lives after his begetting Enos eight hundred and seven years [[or seven hundred and seven years]], and begets sons and daughters.

And all the days of Seth are nine hundred and twelve years, and he dies.
9 Wakati Enoshi alipokuwa ameishi miaka tisini, akamzaa Kenani.
And Enos lives ninety years [[or one hundred and ninety years]], and begets Cainan.
10 Baada ya kumzaa Kenani, Enoshi aliishi miaka 815. Akazaa wana wengi wa ume na wake.
And Enos lives after his begetting Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years [[or seven hundred and fifteen years]], and begets sons and daughters.
11 Enoshi aliishi miaka 905 na kisha akafariki.
And all the days of Enos are nine hundred and five years, and he dies.
12 Wakati Kanani alipokuwa ameishi miaka sabini, akamzaa Mahalaleli.
And Cainan lives seventy years [[or one hundred and seventy years]], and begets Mahalaleel.
13 Baada ya kumzaa Mahalaleli, Kenani aliishi miaka 840. Akawazaa wana wengi wa ume na wake.
And Cainan lives after his begetting Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years [[or seven hundred and forty years]], and begets sons and daughters.
14 Kenani aliishi miaka 910, na kisha akafariki.
And all the days of Cainan are nine hundred and ten years, and he dies.
15 Mahalaleli alipokuwa ameishi miaka sitini na tano, alimzaa Yaredi.
And Mahalaleel lives sixty-five years [[or one hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets Jared.
16 Baada ya kumzaa Yaredi, Mahalaleli aliishi miaka 830. Akazaa wana wengi wa ume na wake.
And Mahalaleel lives after his begetting Jared eight hundred and thirty years [[or seven hundred and thirty years]], and begets sons and daughters.
17 Mahalaleli aliishi miaka 895 na kisha akafariki.
And all the days of Mahalaleel are eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he dies.
18 Yaredi alipokuwa ameishi miaka 162, alimzaa Henoko.
And Jared lives one hundred and sixty-two years, and begets Enoch.
19 Baada ya kumzaa Henoko, Yaredi aliishi miaka mianane. Akazaa wana wengi waume na wake.
And Jared lives after his begetting Enoch eight hundred years, and begets sons and daughters.
20 Yaredi aliishi miaka 962 na kisha akafariki.
And all the days of Jared are nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he dies.
21 Henoko alipokuwa ameishi miaka sitini na tano, akamzaa Methusela.
And Enoch lives sixty-five years [[or one hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets Methuselah.
22 Henoko akaenenda na Mungu miaka miatatu baada ya kumzaa Methusela. Aliwazaa wana wengi wa ume na wake.
And Enoch habitually walks with God after his begetting Methuselah three hundred years [[or two hundred years]], and begets sons and daughters.
23 Henoko aliishi miaka 365.
And all the days of Enoch are three hundred and sixty-five years.

And Enoch habitually walks with God, and he is not, for God has taken him.
25 Wakati Methusela alipokuwa ameishi miaka 187, alimzaa Lameki.
And Methuselah lives one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begets Lamech.
26 Baada ya kumzaa Lameki, Methusela aliishi miaka 782. Akawazaa wana wengi wa ume na wake.
And Methuselah lives after his begetting Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begets sons and daughters.
27 Methusela aliishi miaka 969. Kisha akafariki.
And all the days of Methuselah are nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he dies.
28 Wakati Lameki alipokuwa ameishi miaka 182, alimzaa mwana.
And Lamech lives one hundred and eighty-two years [[or one hundred and eighty-eight years]], and begets a son,
29 Akamuita jina lake Nuhu, akisema, “Huyu ndiye atatupatia pumziko kutoka katika kazi yetu na kutoka katika kazi ya taabu ya mikono yetu, ambayo lazima tuifanye kwa sababu ya ardhi ambayo Yahwe ameilaani.”
and calls his name Noah, saying, “This [one] comforts us concerning our work, and concerning the labor of our hands, because of the ground which YHWH has cursed.”
30 Lameki aliishi miaka 595 baada ya kumzaa baba wa Nuhu. Akazaa wanawengi wa ume na wake.
And Lamech lives after his begetting Noah five hundred and ninety-five years [[or five hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets sons and daughters.
31 Lameki aliishi miaka 777. Kisha akafariki.
And all the days of Lamech are seven hundred and seventy-seven years [[or seven hundred and fifty-three years]], and he dies.
32 Baada ya Nuhu kuishi miaka miatano, akamzaa Shemu, Hamu, na Yafethi.
And Noah is a son of five hundred years, and Noah begets Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
