Matendo 20
1 Baada ya ghasia kumalizika, Paulo aliwaita wanafunzi na kuwatia moyo. Kisha kuwaaga na akaondoka kwenda Makedonia.
After the rage was ceased Paul called the disciples vnto him and toke his leave of them and departed for to goo into Macedonia.
2 Naye akiishakupita mikoa hiyo na alikuwa akiwatia moyo waamuni, akaingia Uyunani.
And when he had gone over those parties and geven them large exhortacions he came into Grece
3 Baada ya yeye kuwa pale kwa muda wa miezi mitatu, njama ziliundwa dhidi yake na Wayahudi alipokuwa akikaribia kusafiri kwa njia ya bahari kuelekea Shamu, hivyo aliazimu kurudi kupitia Makedonia.
and there abode. iii. monethes. And when the Iewes layde wayte for him as he was about to sayle into Syria he purposed to returne thorowe Macedonia.
4 Walioandamana naye hadi Asia walikuwa Sopatro, mwana wa Pirho kutoka Berea; Aristariko na Sekundo, wote kutoka waamini wa Wathesalonike; Gayo wa Derbe; Timotheo; Tikiko na Trofimo kutoka Asia.
Ther acompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berrea and of Thessalonia Aristarcus and Secundus and Gayus of Derba and Timotheus: and out of Asia Tychicus and Trophimos.
5 Lakini watu hawa wamekwisha tangulia na walikuwa wanatungojea kule Troa.
These went before and taryed vs at Troas.
6 kwa njia ya Bahari kutoka Filipi baada ya siku za mikate isiyotiwa chachu, na katika siku tano tukawafikia huko Troa. Tulikaa huko kwa siku saba.
And we sayled awaye fro Philippos after the ester holydayes and came vnto them to Troas in five dayes where we abode seven dayes.
7 Hata siku ya kwanza ya juma, tulipokuwa tumekusanyika pamoja ili kuumega mkate, Paulo alizungumza na Waamini. Alikuwa akipanga kuondoka kesho yake, hivyo akaendelea kuongea hadi usiku wa manane.
And on the morowe after the saboth daye the disciples came to geder for to breake breed and Paul preached vnto them (redy to departe on the morowe) and cotinued the preachynge vnto mydnyght.
8 Kulikuwa na taa nyingi katika chumba cha juu ambapo tulikuwa tumekusanyika pamoja.
And there were many lyghtes in the chamber where thy were gaddered to geder
9 Katika dirisha alikuwa amekaa kijana mmoja jina lake Utiko, ambaye alielemewa na usingizi mzito. Hata Paulo alipokuwa akihutubu kwa muda mrefu, kijana huyu, akiwa amelala, akaanguka chini kutoka ghorofa ya tatu na aliokotwa akiwa amekufa.
and there sate in a wyndowe a certayne yonge man named Eutichos fallen into a depe slepe. And as Paul declared he was the moare overcome with slepe and fell doune from the thyrde lofte and was taken vp deed.
10 Lakini Paulo alishuka chini, alijinyoosha yeye mwenyewe juu yake, akamkumbatia. Kisha akasema, “Msikate tamaa, kwa kuwa yu hai.”
Paul went doune and fell on him and embrased him and sayde: make nothinge ado for his lyfe is in him.
11 Kisha akapanda tena ghorofani na akaumega mkate, akala. Baada ya kuzungumza nao kwa muda mrefu hadi alfajiri, akaondoka.
When he was come vp agayne he brake breed and tasted and comened a longe whyle even tyll the mornynge and so departed.
12 Wakamleta yule kijana akiwa hai wakafarijika sana.
And they brought the youge man a lyve and were not alytell comforted.
13 Sisi wenyewe tulitangulia mbele ya Paul kwa meli na tukaelekea Aso, ambapo sisi tulipanga kumchukua Paul huko. Hiki ndicho yeye mwenyewe alitaka kufanya, kwa sababu alipanga kwenda kupitia nchi kavu.
And we went a fore to shippe and lowsed vnto Asson there to receave Paul. For so had he apoynted and wolde him selfe goo a fote.
14 Alipotufikia huko Aso, tukampakia kwenye Meli tukaenda Mitilene.
When he was come to vs vnto Asson we toke him in and came to Mytelenes.
15 Kisha sisi tukatweka kutoka huko na siku ya pili tulifika upande wa pili wa kisiwa cha Kio. Siku iliyofuata, tukawasili kisiwa cha Samo, na kesho yake tukafika mji wa Mileto.
And we sayled thence and came the nexte daye over agaynst Chios. And the nexte daye we aryved at Samos and taryed at Trogilion. The nexte daye we came to Myleton:
16 Kwa sababu Paulo alikuwa ameamua kusafiri kupitia Efeso, ili kwamba asitumie muda wowote katika Asia; kwa maana alikuwa na haraka ya kuwahi Yerusalemu kwa ajili ya sikukuu ya Pentekoste, kama ingeliwezekana yeye kufanya hivyo.
for Paul had determined to leave Ephesus as they sayled because he wolde not spende ye tyme in Asia. For he hasted to be (yf he coulde possible) at Ierusalem at the daye of pentecoste.
17 Kutoka Mileto akatuma watu hadi Efeso na akawaita wazee wa Kanisa.
Wherfore from Myleton he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the cogregacion.
18 Walipofika kwake, akawaambia, ninyi wenyewe mwajua tangu siku ya kwanza nilipokanyaga hapa Asia, jinsi nilivyokuwa kwenu muda wote.
And when they were come to him he sayde vnto the: Ye knowe fro the fyrst daye yt I came vnto Asia after what maner I have bene wt you at all ceasons
19 Nimemtumikia Bwana kwa unyenyekevu wote na kwa machozi, na mateso yaliyonipata mimi kwa hila za Wayahudi.
servynge the lorde with all humblenes of mynde and with many teares and temptacions which happened vnto me by the layinges awayte of the Ieues
20 Mwajua jinsi ambavyo sikujizuia kutangaza kwenu kitu chochote ambacho kilikuwa muhimu, na jinsi mimi nilivyowafundisha wazi wazi na pia kwenda nyumba kwa nyumba.
and how I kept backe no thinge that was profitable: but that I have shewed you and taught you openly and at home in youre houses
21 Mnajua jinsi mimi nilivyoendelea kuwaonya Wayahudi na Wayunani juu ya toba kwa Mungu na imani katika Bwana wetu Yesu.
witnessinge bothe to the Iewes and also to the Grekes the repentaunce toward God and faith towarde oure Lorde Iesu.
22 Na sasa, angalieni, mimi, nikiwa ninamtii Roho Mtakatifu kuelekea Yerusalemu, nisiyajue mambo ambayo yatanitokea mimi huko,
And now beholde I goo bounde in the sprete vnto Ierusalem and knowe not what shall come on me there
23 ila kwa kuwa Roho Mtakatifu hunishuhudia mimi katika kila mji na anasema kwamba minyororo na mateso ndivyo vinavyoningojea.
but that the holy goost witnesseth in every cite sayinge: yt bondes and trouble abyde me.
24 Lakini mimi si kufikiria kwamba maisha yangu ni kwa njia yoyote ya thamani kwangu, ili niweze kumaliza mwendo wangu na huduma niliyopokea kutoka kwa Bwana Yesu, kuishuhudia injili ya neema ya Mungu.
But none of tho thinges move me: nether is my lyfe dere vnto my selfe that I myght fulfill my course wt ioye and the ministracio which I have receaved of ye Lorde Iesu to testify the gospell of ye grace of god.
25 Na sasa, tazama, najua kwamba wote, miongoni mwa wale nilioenda kuwahubiri Ufalme, hamtaniona uso tena.
And now beholde I am sure yt hence forth ye all (thorow who I have gone preachinge ye kyngdome of God) shall se my face no moore.
26 Kwa hiyo nawashuhudia leo hii, kwamba sina hatia kwa damu ya mtu yeyote.
Wherfore I take you to recorde this same daye that I am pure fro the bloude of all me.
27 Kwa maana sikujizuia kuwatangazia mapenzi yote ya Mungu.
For I have kepte nothinge backe: but have shewed you all the counsell of God.
28 Kwa hiyo iweni waangalifu juu yenu ninyi wenyewe, na juu ya kundi lolote ambalo Roho Mtakatifu amewaweka ninyi kuwa waangalizi. Iweni waangalifu kulichunga kusanyiko la Bwana, ambalo alilinunua kwa damu yake mwenyewe.
Take hede therfore vnto youre selves and to all the flocke wherof the holy goost hath made you oversears to rule the congregacion of God which he hath purchased with his bloud.
29 Najua kwamba baada ya kuondoka kwangu, mbwa mwitu wakali wataingia kwenu, na wasilihurumie kundi.
For I am sure of this that after my departynge shall greveous wolves entre in amonge you which will not spare the flocke.
30 Najua kwamba hata miongoni mwenu wenyewe baadhi ya watu watakuja na kusema mambo mapotovu, ili kuwavuta wanafunzi wawafuate wao.
Moreover of youre awne selves shall men aryse speakinge perverse thinges to drawe disciples after the.
31 Kwa hiyo muwe macho. Kumbukeni kwamba kwa miaka mitatu sikuweza kuacha kuwafundisha kila mmoja wenu kwa machozi usiku na mchana.
Therfore awake and remember that by the space of. iii. yeares I ceased not to warne every one of you both nyght and daye with teares.
32 Na sasa mimi nawakabidhi kwa Mungu, na kwa neno la neema yake, ambalo laweza kuwajenga na kuwapa urithi pamoja nao wote waliowekwa wakfu kwa Mungu.
And now brethren I comende you to God and to the worde of his grace which is able to bylde further and to geve you an inheritaunce amoge all them which are sanctified.
33 Sikutamani fedha, dhahabu, au mavazi.
I have desyred no mas silver golde or vesture.
34 Mnajua ninyi wenyewe kwamba mikono hii imenipatia mahitaji yangu mwenyewe na mahitaji ya wale waliokuwa pamoja nami.
Ye knowe well yt these hondes have ministred vnto my necessities and to them that were wt me.
35 Katika mambo yote niliwapa mfano wa jinsi inavyopasa kuwasaidia wanyonge kwa kufanya kazi, na jinsi mnavyopaswa kukumbuka maneno ya Bwana Yesu, maneno ambayo yeye mwenyewe alisema: “Ni heri kutoa kuliko kupokea.”
I have shewed you all thinges how that so laborynge ye ought to receave the weake and to remember the wordes of the Lorde Iesu howe that he sayde: It is more blessed to geve then to receave.
36 Baada ya kusema namna hii, alipiga magoti akaomba pamoja nao.
When he had thus spoken he kneled doune and prayed with them all.
37 Wote wakalia sana na kumwangukia Paulo shingoni na kumbusu.
And they wept all aboundantly and fell on Pauls necke and kissed him
38 Walihuzunika zaidi ya yote kwa sababu ya kile ambacho alikuwa amesema, kwamba kamwe hawatauona uso wake tena. Kisha wakamsindikiza merikebuni.
sorowinge most of all for the wordes which he spake that they shuld se his face no moore. And they acompanyed him vnto the shyppe.
