1 Hii ndiyo migawanyo ya mabawabu: Kutoka kwa wana wa Kora alikuwa: Meshelemia mwana wa Kore, mmoja wa wana wa Asafu.
For the divisions of the gatekeepers, of the Korahites: Meshelemiah son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph;
2 Meshelemia alikuwa na wana wafuatao: Zekaria mzaliwa wa kwanza, Yediaeli wa pili, Zebadia wa tatu, Yathnieli wa nne,
and sons of Meshelemiah: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,
3 Elamu wa tano Yehohanani wa sita na Eliehoenai wa saba.
Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.
4 Obed-Edomu naye alikuwa na wana wafuatao: Shemaya mzaliwa wa kwanza, Yehozabadi wa pili, Yoa wa tatu, Sakari wa nne, Nethaneli wa tano,
And moreover, sons of Obed-Edom: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth,
5 Amieli wa sita, Isakari wa saba, na Peulethai wa nane. (Kwa kuwa Mungu alikuwa amembariki Obed-Edomu.)
Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth, for God has blessed him.
6 Shemaya mwanawe pia alikuwa na wana, waliokuwa viongozi katika jamaa ya baba yao kwa sababu walikuwa watu wenye uwezo mkubwa.
And sons have been born to his son Shemaiah, who are ruling throughout the house of their father, for they [are] mighty men of valor.
7 Wana wa Shemaya ni: Othni, Refaeli, Obedi na Elizabadi; jamaa zake Elihu na Semakia walikuwa pia watu wenye uwezo.
Sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, [and] Elzabad; his brothers Elihu and Semachiah [are] sons of valor.
8 Hawa wote walikuwa wazao wa Obed-Edomu; wao na wana wao na jamaa zao walikuwa watu wenye uwezo pamoja na nguvu za kufanya kazi. Wazao wa Obed-Edomu jumla yao walikuwa sitini na wawili.
All these [are] of the sons of Obed-Edom; they, and their sons, and their brothers, men of valor with might for service—sixty-two of Obed-Edom.
9 Meshelemia alikuwa na wana na jamaa zake, waliokuwa watu wenye uwezo: jumla yao watu kumi na wanane.
And sons and brothers of Meshelemiah, sons of valor—eighteen;
10 Hosa, Mmerari, alikuwa na wana wafuatao: Shimri alikuwa mkuu wao (baba yake alikuwa amemweka yeye kuwa mkuu ijapokuwa hakuwa mzaliwa wa kwanza),
and of Hosah, of the sons of Merari, [are these] sons: Shimri the head (though he was not firstborn, yet his father sets him for head),
11 Hilkia wa pili, Tabalia wa tatu na Zekaria wa nne. Wana na jamaa za Hosa jumla yao walikuwa watu kumi na watatu.
Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth; all the sons and brothers of Hosah—thirteen.
12 Hii migawanyo ya mabawabu, kupitia wakuu wao, walikuwa na zamu za kuhudumu hekaluni mwa Bwana kama jamaa zao walivyokuwa nazo.
For these [are] the divisions of the gatekeepers, of the heads of the mighty ones, [with] charges just as their brothers, to minister in the house of YHWH,
13 Kura zilipigwa kwa kila lango, kufuatana na jamaa zao, wakubwa kwa wadogo.
and they cause lots to fall, the small as well as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.
14 Kura ya Lango la Mashariki ilimwangukia Shelemia. Kisha wakapiga kura kwa Zekaria mwanawe, aliyekuwa mshauri mwenye hekima, nayo kura ya Lango la Kaskazini ikamwangukia.
And the lot falls eastward to Shelemiah; and [for] his son Zechariah, a counselor with understanding, they cause lots to fall, and his lot goes out northward;
15 Kura ya Lango la Kusini ikamwangukia Obed-Edomu, nayo kura ya maghala ikawaangukia wanawe.
to Obed-Edom southward, and to his sons, the house of the gatherings;
16 Kura za Lango la Magharibi na Lango la Shalekethi kwenye barabara ya juu zikawaangukia Shupimu na Hosa. Zamu za walinzi ziligawanywa kwa usawa:
to Shuppim and to Hosah to the west, with Shallecheth Gate, in the highway, the ascent, watch next to watch;
17 Kulikuwa na Walawi sita kila siku upande wa mashariki, wanne upande wa kaskazini, wanne upande wa kusini, na wawili wawili kwa mara moja kwenye ghala.
to the east [are] six Levites, to the north [are] four each day, to the south [are] four each day, and for the gatherings, two by two;
18 Kuhusu ukumbi kuelekea magharibi, kulikuwa na wanne barabarani na wawili kwenye ukumbi wenyewe.
at Parbar, to the west, [are] four at the highway, two at Parbar.
19 Hii ndiyo iliyokuwa migawanyo ya mabawabu waliokuwa wazao wa Kora na wa Merari.
These are the divisions of the gatekeepers, of the sons of the Korahite, and of the sons of Merari.
20 Katika Walawi, Ahiya alikuwa mwangalizi wa hazina za nyumba ya Mungu na mwangalizi wa hazina za vitu vilivyowekwa wakfu.
And of the Levites, Ahijah [is] over the treasures of the house of God, even for the treasures of the holy things.
21 Wazao wa Ladani, waliokuwa Wagershoni kupitia Ladani na waliokuwa viongozi wa jamaa za Ladani Mgershoni, walikuwa Yehieli,
Sons of Laadan, sons of the Gershonite, of Laadan, heads of the fathers of Laadan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
22 wana wa Yehieli, wana wa Zethamu na wa nduguye Yoeli. Wao walikuwa waangalizi wa hazina za Hekalu la Bwana.
Sons of Jehieli: Zetham and his brother Joel, over the treasures of the house of YHWH.
23 Kutoka kwa wana wa Amramu, wana wa Ishari, wana wa Hebroni na wana wa Uzieli:
Of the Amramite, of the Izharite, of the Hebronite, of [the] Uzzielite—
24 Shebueli, mzao wa Gershomu mwana wa Mose, alikuwa afisa mwangalizi wa hazina.
and Shebuel son of Gershom, son of Moses, [is] president over the treasures.
25 Jamaa zake kutoka kwa Eliezeri, wanawe walikuwa: Rehabia, Yeshaya, Yoramu, Zikri na Shelomithi.
And his brothers, of Eliezer: Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.
26 Shelomithi na jamaa zake walikuwa waangalizi wa hazina zote za vitu vile vilivyowekwa wakfu na Mfalme Daudi, kwa viongozi wa jamaa waliokuwa majemadari wa maelfu na majemadari wa mamia, na kwa maafisa wengine wa jeshi.
This Shelomith and his brothers [are] over all the treasures of the holy things that David the king, and heads of the fathers, even heads of thousands, and of hundreds, and heads of the host, sanctified;
27 Baadhi ya nyara zilizotekwa vitani waliziweka wakfu kwa ajili ya ukarabati wa Hekalu la Bwana.
from the battles and from the spoil, they sanctified to strengthen the house of YHWH;
28 Kila kitu kilichokuwa kimewekwa wakfu na Samweli mwonaji, na Sauli mwana wa Kishi, Abneri mwana wa Neri, na Yoabu mwana wa Seruya, pamoja na vitu vingine vyote vilivyokuwa vimewekwa wakfu, vyote vilikuwa chini ya uangalizi wa Shelomithi na jamaa zake.
and all that Samuel the seer, and Saul son of Kish, and Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah sanctified, everyone sanctifying [anything—it is] by the side of Shelomith and his brothers.
29 Kutoka kwa wana wa Ishari: Kenania na wanawe walipewa kazi nje ya Hekalu kama maafisa na waamuzi juu ya Israeli.
Of the Izharite, Chenaniah and his sons [are] for the outward work over Israel, for officers and for judges.
30 Kutoka kwa wana wa Hebroni: Hashabia na jamaa zake, watu 1,700 wenye uwezo, waliwajibika katika Israeli magharibi ya Yordani kwa ajili ya kazi zote za Bwana na utumishi wa mfalme.
Of the Hebronite, Hashabiah and his brothers, one thousand and seven hundred sons of valor, [are] over the inspection of Israel, beyond the Jordan westward, for all the work of YHWH, and for the service of the king.
31 Kuhusu wana wa Hebroni, Yeria alikuwa mkuu wao kufuatana na orodha ya jamaa yao. Katika mwaka wa arobaini wa utawala wa Daudi uchunguzi ulifanyika katika kumbukumbu, nao watu wenye uwezo miongoni mwa wana wa Hebroni wakapatikana huko Yazeri katika Gileadi.
Of the Hebronite, Jerijah [is] the head of the Hebronite, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they have been sought out, and there are found among them mighty men of valor, in Jazer of Gilead—
32 Yeria alikuwa na jamaa ya watu 2,700 waliokuwa watu wenye uwezo na viongozi wa jamaa, naye Mfalme Daudi akawaweka kuangalia Wareubeni, Wagadi na nusu ya kabila Manase kuhusu kila jambo lililomhusu Mungu na shughuli za mfalme.
and his brothers, two thousand and seven hundred sons of valor, [are] heads of the fathers, and King David appoints them over the Reubenite, and the Gadite, and the half of the tribe of the Manassite, for every matter of God and matter of the king.
