San Mateo 27
1 Al llegar la mañana, todos los principales sacerdotes y los que estaban en autoridad planearon contra Jesús como entregarlo a la muerte.
And it being morning, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put Him to death.
2 Y pusieron cuerdas sobre él, y se lo llevaron, y lo entregaron a Pilato, el gobernante.
And having bound Him, took Him away, and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate, the governor.
3 Entonces Judas, él que lo entregó, viendo que iba a ser muerto, en su arrepentimiento llevó los treinta pedazos de plata a los sumos sacerdotes y a los que tenían autoridad,
Then Judas, the one having betrayed Him, seeing that He was condemned, being seized with remorse, returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4 Diciendo: He hecho mal al dar en tu manos un hombre justo. Pero ellos dijeron: ¿Qué nos importa a nosotros? es tu negocio.
saying, I sinned betraying the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? See thou to it.
5 Y dejó la plata en el templo, y salió, y fue y se ahorcó.
And throwing down the money in the temple, he departed; and having gone away hung himself.
6 Y los principales sacerdotes tomaron la plata y dijeron: No está bien ponerla en él tesoro de las ofrendas porque es el precio de la sangre.
And the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, It is not lawful to put them in the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
7 Y tomaron la decisión de comprar con la plata el campo del alfarero, como un lugar para los muertos de otros países.
And taking counsel, they purchased with them the field of the potter, for a burying place for strangers.
8 Por esta causa, ese campo fue nombrado, El campo de sangre, hasta el día de hoy.
Therefore that field has been called, The field of blood, to this day.
9 Y se cumplió lo que fue dicho por el profeta Jeremías: y tomaron las treinta y tres piezas de plata, el precio del que era estimado por los hijos de Israel;
Then the word having been spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, was fulfilled, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him that was valued, whom they of the sons of Israel did value;
10 Y las dieron para él campo de alfarero, como me ordenó el Señor.
and they gave them for the field of the potter, as the Lord appointed me.
11 Y Jesús estaba delante del gobernante, que le hizo una pregunta: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los judíos? Y Jesús le dijo: Tú lo dices.
And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked Him, saying; Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said to him, Thou sayest it.
12 Pero cuando los principales sacerdotes y los que estaban en autoridad hicieron declaraciones contra él, no respondió.
And while He is accused by the chief priests and elders, He responded nothing.
13 Entonces le dice Pilato: ¿No prestas atención a lo que tus testigos dicen contra ti?
Then Pilate says to Him, Do you not hear, bow many things they witness against you?
14 Y él no le dio respuesta, ni siquiera una palabra: por lo que el gobernante se maravillaba mucho.
And He responded to him not one word, so that the governor marveled exceedingly.
15 Ahora, en la fiesta, era tradición que el gobernante liberara a las personas un prisionero, a su elección.
And the governor during the feast was accustomed to release to the multitude one prisoner, whom they wished.
16 Y tenían entonces un prisionero importante, que se llamaba Barrabás.
But they had at that time a noted prisoner called Barabbas.
17 Y cuando se juntaron, Pilato les dijo: ¿a Quién quieren que suelte? Barrabás, o Jesús, ¿llamado el Cristo?
Then they being assembled, Pilate said to them, Whom do you wish that I may release unto you? Barabbas? or Jesus who is called Christ?
18 Porque vio que por envidia lo habían entregado.
For he knew that they delivered Him on account of envy.
19 Y estando él sentado en el tribunal, su mujer le envió a él, diciendo: No tengas nada que ver con ese hombre justo, porque he tenido muchos problemas este día en sueños por causa de él.
And he sitting on his tribunal, his wife sent to him, saying, Let there be nothing to thee and that just man: for this day I suffered many things in a dream on account of Him.
20 Ahora bien, los principales sacerdotes y los que tenían autoridad hicieron que la gente pidiera a Barrabás y que Jesús fuera ejecutado.
And the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21 Pero el gobernante respondió y les dijo: ¿Cuál de los dos quieren que yo liberé? Y ellos dijeron, Barrabás.
And the governor responding said to them, Which of the two do you wish that I shall release unto you? And they said Barabbas.
22 Pilato les dice: ¿Qué debo hacer con Jesús, que se llama Cristo? Todos dicen: que muera en la cruz.
Pilate says to them, Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ? They all say to him, Let Him be crucified.
23 Y él dijo: ¿Por qué, qué mal ha hecho? Pero ellos lanzaron fuertes gritos, diciendo crucificalo!
And the governor said, For what evil hath He done? And they continued to cry out more vociferously, saying, Let Him be crucified.
24 Y cuando Pilato vio que no podía hacer nada, pero que el alboroto era cada vez más mayor, tomó agua y, lavándose las manos delante del pueblo, dijo: La sangre de este hombre justo no está en mis manos; ustedes son responsables.
And Pilate seeing that he profits nothing, but rather an uproar supervenes, having taken water, washed his hands in the presence of the multitude, saying, For I am free from the blood of this just one: you shall see to it.
25 Y todo el pueblo respondió y dijo: Sea su sangre sobre nosotros y sobre nuestros hijos.
And all the people responding said, His blood be upon us, and upon our children.
26 Entonces dejó libre a Barrabás, pero después de haber azotado a Jesús, lo entregó para que lo crucificaran.
Then he released unto them Barabbas. And having scourged Jesus, delivered Him up that He should be crucified.
27 Entonces los hombres armados del gobernador llevaron a Jesús al palacio, y juntaron a toda la tropa alrededor de él.
Then the soldiers of the governor taking Jesus into the judgment hall, gathered to Him the whole band.
28 Y desnudandolo, le pusieron una túnica roja.
And having divested Him, put on Him a scarlet robe:
29 Hicieron una corona de espinas, se la pusieron sobre la cabeza y le pusieron una vara en la mano derecha, y se arrodillaron delante de él, y se burlaron de él, diciendo: Larga vida al rey de los judíos.
and plaiting a crown of thorns put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and bowing the knee to Him, continued to mock Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 Y escupiéndole, le avergonzaron, y le dieron golpes con la vara en la cabeza.
And spitting on Him, they took the reed and struck Him on the head repeatedly.
31 Y cuando se burlaban de él, le quitaron la ropa, le vistieron y se lo llevaron para ponerlo en la cruz.
And when they mocked Him, divesting Him of the robe, they put on Him His own raiment, and led Him away to crucify Him.
32 Mientras salían, vieron a un hombre de Cirene, cuyo nombre era Simón, y lo hicieron ir con ellos, para que él llevara su cruz.
And going out they found a Cyrenean man, Simon by name: they compelled him that he should bear His cross.
33 Y cuando llegaron al lugar llamado Gólgota, es decir, Lugar de la calavera,
Having come to the place called Golgotha, which is called the place of a skull.
34 le dieron vino mezclado con hiel; y después de probarlo, no tomó más.
And they gave Him vinegar mingled with gall to drink: and tasting, He was not willing to drink it.
35 Y cuando lo pusieron en la cruz, hicieron divisiones entre ellos por decisión fortuita.
And crucifying Him, they divided His garments, casting the lot,
36 Y estaban sentados allí mirándolo.
and sitting down, they continued to watch Him there.
37 Y pusieron sobre su cabeza la declaración de su crimen por escrito: ESTE ES JESÚS, EL REY DE LOS JUDIOS.
And they placed over His head, His accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
38 Luego dos ladrones fueron puestos en cruces con él, uno a la derecha y otro a la izquierda.
Then two thieves are crucified along with Him, the one on the right and one on the left.
39 Y los que pasaban lo insultaban, sacudían sus cabezas y decían:
And going by they continued to blaspheme Him, wagging their heads,
40 Tú que derribas el templo y lo levantas en tres días, libérate; si eres Hijo de Dios, baja de la cruz.
and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself: if thou art the Son of God, come down from the cross.
41 De la misma manera, los principales sacerdotes, burlándose de él, con los escribas y los ancianos, dijeron:
Likewise also the chief priests mocking, with the scribes and elders, continued to say,
42 Salvador de los demás, no tiene salvación para sí mismo. Si él es el Rey de Israel, que baje ahora de la cruz, y creeremos en él.
He saved others; He is not able to save Himself: if He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on Him.
43 Puso su fe en Dios; deja que Dios sea su salvador ahora, si lo quiere; porque él dijo: Yo soy el Hijo de Dios.
He trusted in God; let Him now deliver Him, if He wishes Him; for He said, I am the Son of God.
44 Y los ladrones que estaban en las cruces le dijeron malas palabras.
And the thieves being crucified along with Him were also reproaching Him in the same manner.
45 Desde la hora sexta, a oscuras sobre toda la tierra, hasta la hora novena.
And from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
46 Cerca de la hora novena, Jesús lanzó un fuerte grito, diciendo: Elí, Elí, ¿lama sabactani? es decir, Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has desamparado?
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 Y algunos de los que estaban cerca, oyéndole, dijeron: Este hombre está clamando a Elías.
And certain ones of those standing there hearing, said, He is calling Elijah.
48 Y luego uno de ellos fue rápidamente, y tomando una esponja, la empapó de vinagre, y la puso sobre una vara y le dio de beber.
And one of them running and taking a sponge, and filling it with vinegar, and extending it on a reed, gave Him drink.
49 Y el resto dijo: Déjenlo; veamos si Elías vendrá en su ayuda.
And others were saying, Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah comes about to save Him.
50 Y Jesús dio otro fuerte grito, y abandonó su espíritu.
And Jesus again crying with a loud voice, gave up His spirit.
51 Y la cortina del Templo se dividió en dos de extremo a extremo; y la tierra tembló; y las rocas se partieron;
And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from top to bottom, and the earth did quake; and the rocks were rent;
52 Y l se abrieron los sepulcros; y los cuerpos de una serie de santos dormidos resucitaron;
and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the sleeping saints arose;
53 Y saliendo de sus lugares de reposo, después de la resurrección de el, entraron en la ciudad santa y fueron vistos por varias personas.
and having come out of the tombs after His resurrection came into the holy city and appeared unto many.
54 Y el capitán y los que estaban con él guardando a Jesús, cuando vieron la conmoción de la tierra y las cosas que se hacían, tuvieron gran temor, y dijeron: Verdaderamente éste era hijo de Dios.
And the centurion and those watching Jesus with him, seeing the earthquake, and the things which took place, feared exceedingly, saying, Surely this was the Son of God.
55 Y varias mujeres estaban allí, mirando desde la distancia, que habían venido con Jesús desde Galilea, sirviendo.
And many women were there looking on from a distance, who followed Jesus from Galilee to minister unto Him,
56 Entre los cuales estaban María Magdalena, y María, la madre de Jacobo y de José, y la madre de los hijos de Zebedeo.
among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary, the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
57 Y al anochecer, vino un hombre rico de Arimatea, José por nombre, que era un discípulo de Jesús.
And it being evening, a rich man came from Arimathea, whose name was Joseph, who himself also was a disciple to Jesus.
58 Este hombre fue a Pilato y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús. Entonces Pilato dio órdenes para que se le diera.
He having come to Pilate, begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded that the body should be given:
59 Y José tomó el cuerpo, y lo envolvió en lino limpio,
and Joseph having received the body, wrapped it in clean linen,
60 Y lo puso en un sepulcro nuevo, que había labrado en la roca para él; y después de hacer rodar una gran piedra hasta la puerta, se fue.
and placed it in a new sepulcher, which he hewed in the rock: and having rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulcher, departed.
61 Y María Magdalena estaba allí, y la otra María, sentada junto al sepulcro.
And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting in front of the tomb.
62 Al día siguiente de la preparación de la Pascua, los principales sacerdotes y los fariseos se reunieron con Pilato,
And on the following day, which is after the Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together to Pilate, saying,
63 Diciendo: Señor, tenemos en mente cómo ese hombre falso dijo, mientras aún vivía, que después de tres días resucitaré.
Lord, we remember that that deceiver, while yet living, said, After three days I will rise.
64 Ordena, pues, que el lugar donde está su cuerpo sea vigilado hasta el tercer día, por temor a que sus discípulos vengan y se lo lleven en secreto y le digan a la gente: “Él ha vuelto de entre los muertos; el error será peor que el primero.
Command therefore that the tomb be made safe until the third day, lest His disciples having come, may steal Him away, and say to the people, He is risen from the dead: and the last error shall be worse than the first.
65 Pilato les dijo: Tú tienes atalayas; ve y hazlo tan seguro como puedas.
Pilate said to them, You have a watch: go, make it safe as you know.
66 Entonces ellos fueron, y pusieron guardias el lugar donde estaba su cuerpo, poniendo un sello en la piedra, y los atalayas estaban con ellos.
And having gone, they secured the tomb, sealing the stone, with the guard.
