2 Timoteo 4

1 Declaro solemnemente delante de Dios y de Cristo Jesús, Quien está destinado a juzgar a [los ]vivos y a [los ]muertos en su aparición y en su reino:

I do fully testify, then, before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is about to judge living and dead at his manifestation and his reign —

2 Predica la Palabra, está listo a tiempo y fuera de tiempo, convierte el argumento contra el que lo presenta, reprende, exhorta con toda longanimidad y doctrina.

preach the word; be earnest in season, out of season, convict, rebuke, exhort, in all long-suffering and teaching,

3 Habrá tiempo cuando no aceptarán la sana doctrina, sino, al tener una comezón de predicación, se acumularán para sí mismos maestros según sus propios deseos ardientes,

for there shall be a season when the sound teaching they will not suffer, but according to their own desires to themselves they shall heap up teachers — itching in the hearing,

4 y ciertamente apartarán el oído de la verdad, y serán extraviados a las fábulas.

and indeed, from the truth the hearing they shall turn away, and to the fables they shall be turned aside.

5 Pero tú sé sobrio en todo, soporta privaciones, haz obra de evangelista, cumple tu ministerio.

And thou — watch in all things; suffer evil; do the work of one proclaiming good news; of thy ministration make full assurance,

6 Porque yo ya soy ofrecido en libación, y el tiempo de mi partida es inminente.

for I am already being poured out, and the time of my release hath arrived;

7 He peleado la buena batalla, acabé la carrera, guardé la fe.

the good strife I have striven, the course I have finished, the faith I have kept,

8 Por lo demás, la corona de justicia me está reservada, la cual el Señor, Juez justo, me dará en aquel día, y no solo a mí, sino también a todos los que tienen en alta estima su aparecimiento.

henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of the righteousness that the Lord — the Righteous Judge — shall give to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those loving his manifestation.

9 Haz todo esfuerzo para venir pronto a mí,

Be diligent to come unto me quickly,

10 porque Demas, al amar al mundo de ahora, me desamparó y fue a Tesalónica, Crescente, a Galacia y Tito, a Dalmacia. (aiōn g165)

for Demas forsook me, having loved the present age, and went on to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia, (aiōn g165)

11 Solo Lucas está conmigo. Toma a Marcos y tráelo contigo, porque me es útil para [el] ministerio,

Lukas only is with me; Markus having taken, bring with thyself, for he is profitable to me for ministration;

12 pues a Tíquico envié a Éfeso.

and Tychicus I sent to Ephesus;

13 Al venirte, trae el capote que dejé con Carpo en Troas, y los rollos, especialmente los pergaminos.

the cloak that I left in Troas with Carpus, coming, bring thou and the books — especially the parchments.

14 Alejandro el calderero me hizo muchos males. El Señor le pagará según sus obras.

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil; may the Lord repay to him according to his works,

15 Guárdate tú también de él, porque con vehemencia contradijo nuestras enseñanzas.

of whom also do thou beware, for greatly hath he stood against our words;

16 En mi primera defensa ninguno se presentó. Todos me abandonaron. No les sea tomado en cuenta.

in my first defence no one stood with me, but all forsook me, (may it not be reckoned to them!)

17 Pero el Señor estuvo presente y me fortaleció para que yo cumpliera la predicación, y que todos los gentiles oyeran. Fui librado de [la] boca del león.

and the Lord stood by me, and did strengthen me, that through me the preaching might be fully assured, and all the nations might hear, and I was freed out of the mouth of a lion,

18 El Señor me librará de toda obra mala y me preservará para su reino celestial. A Él sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén. (aiōn g165)

and the Lord shall free me from every evil work, and shall save [me] — to his heavenly kingdom; to whom [is] the glory to the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)

19 Saluda a Prisca y a Aquila, y a la familia de Onesíforo.

Salute Prisca and Aquilas, and Onesiphorus' household;

20 Erasto quedó en Corinto. A Trófimo lo dejé en Mileto porque estaba enfermo.

Erastus did remain in Corinth, and Trophimus I left in Miletus infirm;

21 Haz todo esfuerzo por venir antes del invierno. Eubulo te saluda, también Pudente, Lino, Claudia y todos los hermanos.

be diligent to come before winter. Salute thee doth Eubulus, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.

22 El Señor esté con tu espíritu. La gracia sea con ustedes.

The Lord Jesus Christ [is] with thy spirit; the grace [is] with you! Amen.
