Hebreos 3

1 Por tanto, santos hermanos, partícipes de una vocación celestial, considerad al Apóstol y Sumo Sacerdote de nuestra confesión: Jesús,

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heauenly vocation, consider the Apostle and high Priest of our profession Christ Iesus:

2 que fue fiel al que lo designó, como también lo fue Moisés en toda su casa.

Who was faithfull to him that hath appointed him, euen as Moses was in al his house.

3 Pues ha sido considerado digno de más gloria que Moisés, porque el que construyó la casa tiene más honor que la casa.

For this man is counted worthy of more glory then Moses, inasmuch as he which hath builded the house, hath more honour then the house.

4 Porque toda casa es construida por alguien; pero el que construyó todas las cosas es Dios.

For euery house is builded of some man, and he that hath built all things, is God.

5 Moisés, en efecto, fue fiel en toda su casa como siervo, para dar testimonio de lo que después se iba a decir,

Now Moses verely was faithfull in all his house, as a seruant, for a witnesse of the thinges which should be spoken after.

6 pero Cristo es fiel como Hijo sobre su casa. Nosotros somos su casa, si mantenemos firme nuestra confianza y la gloria de nuestra esperanza hasta el fin.

But Christ is as the Sonne, ouer his owne house, whose house we are, if we holde fast that confidence and that reioycing of that hope vnto the ende.

7 Por tanto, como dice el Espíritu Santo, “Hoy, si escuchas su voz,

Wherefore, as the holy Ghost sayth, To day if ye shall heare his voyce,

8 no endurezcáis vuestros corazones como en la rebelión, en el día de la prueba en el desierto,

Harden not your hearts, as in the prouocation, according to the day of the tentation in the wildernes,

9 donde tus padres me pusieron a prueba y me probaron, y vio mis actos durante cuarenta años.

Where your fathers tempted me, prooued me, and sawe my workes fourtie yeeres long.

10 Por eso me disgusté con esa generación, y dijo: “Siempre se equivocan en su corazón, pero no conocían mis costumbres’.

Wherefore I was grieued with that generation, and sayde, They erre euer in their heart, neither haue they knowen my wayes.

11 Como juré en mi ira, ‘No entrarán en mi descanso’”.

Therefore I sware in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest.

12 Cuidado, hermanos, no sea que haya en alguno de vosotros un mal corazón de incredulidad, apartándose del Dios vivo;

Take heede, brethren, least at any time there be in any of you an euill heart, and vnfaithfull, to depart away from the liuing God.

13 sino que os exhortéis unos a otros de día en día, mientras se llame “hoy”, no sea que alguno de vosotros se endurezca por el engaño del pecado.

But exhort one another dayly, while it is called to day, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulnes of sinne.

14 Porque hemos llegado a ser partícipes de Cristo, si mantenemos firme el principio de nuestra confianza hasta el fin,

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we keepe sure vnto the ende that beginning, wherewith we are vpholden,

15 mientras se dice, “Hoy, si escuchas su voz, no endurezcáis vuestros corazones, como en la rebelión”.

So long as it is sayd, To day if ye heare his voyce, harden not your hearts, as in the prouocation.

16 Porque ¿quiénes, al oírlo, se rebelaron? ¿No fueron todos los que salieron de Egipto guiados por Moisés?

For some when they heard, prouoked him to anger: howbeit, not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

17 ¿Con quiénes se disgustó durante cuarenta años? ¿No fue con los que pecaron, cuyos cuerpos cayeron en el desierto?

But with whome was he displeased fourtie yeeres? Was hee not displeased with them that sinned, whose carkeises fell in the wildernes?

18 ¿A quiénes juró que no entrarían en su reposo, sino a los desobedientes?

And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but vnto them that obeyed not?

19 Vemos que no pudieron entrar a causa de la incredulidad.

So we see that they could not enter in, because of vnbeliefe.
