Rimljanom 5
1 Opravičivši se torej z vero, imamo mir z Bogom po Gospodu našem Jezusu Kristusu,
Therefore, having been justified by faith, let us be at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 Po kterem smo tudi pristop dobili z vero v to milost, v kterej stojimo in hvalimo se z upom slave Božje.
through whom also we have had the access, by the Faith, into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 Pa ne samo to, nego se tudi hvalimo v stiskah vedoč, da stiska potrpljivost dela,
Not only so, but we should also rejoice in the sufferings, knowing that the suffering produces perseverance;
4 A potrpljivost izkušenost, izkušenost pa up,
and the perseverance, proven character; and the proven character, hope;
5 A up ne osramočuje, ker je ljubezen Božja izlita v srcih naših po Duhu svetem danem nam.
and the hope does not humiliate, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 Kajti Kristus je, ko smo mi še slabi bili, svoj čas za nepobožne umrl,
Now then, when we were incapacitated, even so Christ died for the ungodly, at the right moment.
7 Ker bo težko kdo za pravičnega umiral, za dobrega lahko da se kdo drzne umreti.
Now scarcely even for a righteous person will someone offer to die (although on behalf of a good man someone might dare even to die),
8 Pokazuje pa Bog svojo ljubezen do nas, da je, ko smo mi še grešniki bili, Kristus za nas umrl.
but God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!
9 Mnogo bolje se bomo torej, opravičivši se sedaj v krvi njegovej, po njem jeze rešili.
So now that we have been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from the wrath through Him!
10 Kajti če smo se spravili z Bogom s smrtjo njegovega sina, dokler smo sovražniki bili, s tem bolje se bomo zveličali spravivši se v njegovem življenji.
Because since we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, while we were enemies, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!
11 Pa ne samo to, nego se tudi hvalimo z Bogom po Gospodu svojem Jezusu Kristusu, po kterem smo sedaj spravo dobili.
No wonder we rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation!
12 Za to kakor je po enem človeku greh na svet prišel in po grehu smrt, in tako je na vse ljudî smrt prišla, v komer so vsi pregrešili.
Now then, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, just so death spread to all men, because all sinned
13 Kajti greh je bil noter do postave na svetu, ali se greh ne računi, dokler ni postave.
—sin was in the world before the law, to be sure, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nego zakraljevala je smrt od Adama do Mojzesa tudi nad temi, kteri niso pregrešili na spodobo Adamovega prestopa, kteri je podoba tega, kteri je imel priti.
Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who did not sin in the likeness of Adam's transgression (he is a type of the coming one).
15 Ali ni kakor pregreha tako tudi dar, kajti če so po pregrehi enega mnogi pomrli, za mnogo boljo se jo milost Božja in dar v milosti enega človeka Jezusa Kristusa na mnoge poobilšal.
Now the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one, how much more did God's grace and the bounty by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many!
16 In dar ni kakor greh enega, ker obsojenje je bilo iz ene pregrehe na pogubo, a dar iz mnogih pregreh na opravičenje.
Again, the gift is not like what came from one man's having sinned: because the judgment into condemnation followed one offense, while the gracious gift into justification followed many offenses.
17 Kajti če je za pregreho enega smrt zakraljevala po tem enem, za mnogo bolje bodo tisti, kteri prejemajo obilnost milosti in darú pravice, v življenji kraljevali po enem Jezusu Kristusu.
Further, if by the offense of the one man death reigned through that man, much more will those who receive the abundance of the grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
18 Kakor je torej po pregrehi enega prišlo obsojenje na vse ljudi, tako je tudi po pravičnosti enega prišlo na vse ljudi opravičenje življenja.
So then, as through one offense there is condemnation for everyone, so also through one righteous act there is life-giving justification for everyone.
19 Kajti kakor so po neposlušnosti enega človeka grešni postali mnogi, tako bodo tudi po poslušnosti enega pravični postali mnogi.
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were constituted sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many will be constituted righteous.
20 A postava je zravni tega prišla, da se pomnoži pregreha, a kjer se pregreha pomnoži, tam se še bolje poobilša milost,
However, law came on the scene so that the offense might abound; but where the sin abounded, the grace superabounded,
21 Da bi, kakor je zakraljeval greh za smrt, tako tudi zakraljevala milost s pravico na večno življenje po Jezusu Kristusu Gospodu našem. (aiōnios g166)
so that just as sin reigned in the death, so also the grace might reign through righteousness into eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
