Psalmi 82

1 Psalm Asafu. Bog biva v zboru Boga mogočnega, med oblastvi sodi.

A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

2 Doklej bodete sodili krivično, in potezali se za hudobne?

How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? (Selah)

3 Sodite za ubozega in siroto; nesrečnega in siromaka opravičite.

Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

4 Oprostite ubozega in potrebnega, iz roke krivičnih rešite.

Deliver the poor and needy: rid [them] out of the hand of the wicked.

5 Ne vedó in ne pazijo, v temi hodijo neprestano; majó se vsi strebri zemlje.

They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

6 Jaz pravim: "Bogovi ste, in najvišjega sinovi vi vsi:

I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.

7 Todà, umrli bodete kakor navaden človek; tudi kakor kateri iz med ónih poglavarjev bodete padli."

But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

8 Vstani, o Bog, sodi zemljo; ti namreč imaš posest med vsemi narodi.

Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
