Psalmi 71
1 Vate, oh Gospod, polagam svoje trdno upanje. Naj ne bom nikoli postavljen v zadrego.
In you, Yahweh, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame.
2 Osvobodi me v svoji pravičnosti in mi povzroči, da pobegnem. Nagni k meni svoje uho in me reši.
Rescue me and make me safe in your righteousness; turn your ear to me and save me.
3 Bodi moje močno prebivališče, kamor se bom lahko nenehno zatekal. Dal si zapoved, da me rešiš, kajti ti si moja skala in moja trdnjava.
Be to me a rock for refuge where I may always go; you have given a command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
4 Osvobodi me, oh moj Bog, iz roke zlobnega, iz roke nepravičnega in krutega človeka.
Rescue me, my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel.
5 Kajti ti si moje upanje, oh Gospod Bog, ti si moje trdno zaupanje od moje mladosti.
For you are my hope, Lord Yahweh. I have trusted in you ever since I was a child.
6 S teboj sem bil podpiran od maternice. Ti si tisti, ki me je vzel iz notranjosti moje matere. O tebi bo nenehno moja hvala.
By you I have been supported from the womb; you are he who took me out of my mother's belly; my praise will be always about you.
7 Mnogim sem kakor čudež, toda ti si moje močno zatočišče.
I am an example to many people; you are my strong refuge.
8 Naj bodo moja usta napolnjena s tvojo hvalo in s tvojo častjo ves dan.
My mouth will be filled with your praise, all the day with your honor.
9 Ne zavrzi me v času visoke starosti, ne zapusti me, ko oslabi moja moč.
Do not throw me away in my time of old age; do not abandon me when my strength fails.
10 Kajti moji sovražniki govorijo zoper mene in tisti, ki prežijo na mojo dušo, se skupaj posvetujejo,
For my enemies are talking about me; those who watch for my life are plotting together.
11 rekoč: »Bog ga je zapustil. Preganjajte in zgrabite ga, kajti nikogar ni, da ga osvobodi.«
They say, “God has forsaken him; pursue and take him, for there is no one to save him.”
12 Oh Bog, ne bodi daleč od mene. O moj Bog, podvizaj se zaradi moje pomoči.
God, do not be far from me; my God, hurry to help me.
13 Naj bodo zbegani in uničeni tisti, ki so nasprotniki moji duši; naj bodo pokriti z grajo in nečastjo tisti, ki iščejo mojo bolečino.
Let them be put to shame and destroyed, those who are hostile to my life; let them be covered with rebuke and dishonor, those who seek my hurt.
14 Toda jaz bom nenehno upal in še bolj in bolj te bom hvalil.
But I will always hope in you and will praise you more and more.
15 Moja usta bodo naznanjala tvojo pravičnost in tvojo rešitev duše ves dan, kajti ne poznam njihovih števil.
My mouth will tell about your righteousness and your salvation all the day, although I cannot understand it.
16 Šel bom v moči Gospoda Boga. Omenjal bom tvojo pravičnost, namreč samo tvojo.
I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Yahweh; I will make mention of your righteousness, yours alone.
17 Oh Bog, učil si me od moje mladosti in doslej sem oznanjal tvoja čudovita dela.
God, you have taught me from my youth; even now I declare your wonderful deeds.
18 Tudi sedaj, ko sem star in sivolas, oh Bog, me ne zapusti, dokler ne pokažem tvoje moči temu rodu in tvojo oblast vsakemu, ki bo prišel.
Indeed, even when I am old and gray-headed, God, do not forsake me, as I have been declaring your strength to the next generation, your power to everyone who is to come.
19 Tudi tvoja pravičnost, oh Bog, je zelo visoka, ki si storil velike stvari. Oh Bog, kdo ti je podoben!
Your righteousness also, God, is very high; you who have done great things, God, who is like you?
20 Ti, ki si mi pokazal velike in boleče stiske, me boš ponovno oživil in ponovno privedel gor iz globin zemlje.
You who made me see many troubles will revive us again and will bring us up again from the depths of the earth.
21 Povečal boš mojo veličino in me tolažil na vsaki strani.
May you increase my honor; turn again and comfort me.
22 Prav tako te bom hvalil s plunko, celó tvojo resnico, oh moj Bog. Tebi bom prepeval s harfo, oh ti, Sveti Izraelov.
I will also give thanks to you with the harp for your trustworthiness, my God; to you I will sing praises with the harp, Holy One of Israel.
23 Moje ustnice se bodo silno veselile, kadar ti prepevam in moja duša, ki si jo odkupil.
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to you— even my soul, which you have redeemed.
24 Tudi moj jezik bo ves dan govoril o tvoji pravičnosti, kajti zbegani so, ker so privedeni v sramoto [tisti], ki iščejo mojo bolečino.
My tongue will also talk about your righteousness all day long; for they have been put to shame and are confused, those who sought my hurt.
